The curry leaf is by far the best Indian takeaway in Hull, and i have tried many the food for taste portion size is excellent, I highly recommend

Just ordered 3 mixed grills it was absolutely superb ,you get plenty as well would recommend definitely , the gentleman was a really lovely guy even carried my food to the car for me ,fabulous 👍

Pakoras were wet and soggy. Curry was very bland was ment to be medium hot but had no heat or spice too it. Chips cold. Rice had burnt bits in it..Donna kebab was not a normal Donna kebab..! Waste of over 30£

Waited 2 hours for delivery just eat said delivered enjoy your meal but never arrived called them up to be told it’s just set off will be 5 mins(we live no more then 5 mins away) waited half an hour still no food rang up to be told it’s on way won’t be long but at this point we cancelled,have been using curry leaf for years but wont be using again last 3 times the delivery time has been a joke. Could understand if was a weekend expect them to be busy but not as busy during the week

Wouldn't use again. Ordered through just eat, said it was going to be 45-60 mins. Turned up after an hour and half. When it eventually came the order was wrong. Didn't want to wait another 90 mins for a fresh order.

This is the best takeaway Indian ,I’ve ever tried, had a little glitch .but the manager ,I think or owner to personally asked what my problem was, nice guy, really concerned about his food not being perfect, wouldn’t buy I Duane food from anywhere else,

1 hour 30 to deliver, starters great and tasty, ordered lamb bhuna and lamb dopiaza on tasting sauces exactly the same coconut based sauces, ordered garlic nann and got a plain one, food cold and dissapointing, overall poor experience

I been eating currys all my life this is the best curry in hull I have it 2 times in 4 days it's so lovely.. Nice people even the drivers are nice.. great portions... I do recommend this shop in hessle road in gipsyville out of 10 /11

Once again the best Indian take away. We ordered for 12 people a complete mixed range of dishes plus sides. The manager couldn’t do enough for us even checking an hour before to see if there was any changes to the order. It came on time piping hot and everyone got what the ordered. Plus he had put some soft drinks in as an extra. We now wouldn’t go anywhere else whether it a meal for 2 or 12 they are spot on. We would definitely recommend Curry Leaf 🍂

The food from this takeaway is restaurant quality , ordered from here for years never had a bad meal . Friendly staff and fast efficient service . Loyalty points given with every order , can be redeemed to get money off future orders. Highly recommend curry leaf , you won't be disappointed 😍

Number 1 Place in Hull for a proper high quality flavoursome Curry. The BEEF is absolute top quality, so tender, fresh and juicy. I'm white British and I know the Indian/ Bengali community well, I know the Industry inside out on what's good or bad, and in my experience it is very very hard to beat this takeaway. I've tried them all, some other takeaways are just generic basic ok food, but Curry Leaf uses very high quality ingredients they do not cut corners and this comes across in the quality and flavour and taste of the food. It is always fresh you can always tell a good takeaway by the quality of the poppadoms, if they are stale and soft keep away if they are fresh and crisp and not greasy and just snap off that means these people even take care with the basics such as poppadoms. As mentioned I do know this industry inside out I have been in the kitchens I know a few of the Indian families so I can 100% vouch for what is good quality. In my honest opinion Curry Leaf is the best Indian takeaway in Hull. Rob.

Food was very good and would definitely recommend however the order took an hour and forty to come which seemed like forever. Would probably have it again because it was very good but would need to be in a patient mood 😂

Decided on a Saturday night takeaway and my son recommended The Curry Leaf as he’d heard good reports from friends so after checking their menu on line we selected 3 starters and 2 mains (2 rice) and as I didn’t live too far away went down to order the meal in person. Walking up to the curry leaf there was an amazing aroma which was a good sign, inside I was greeted by a very friendly guy who took my order and checked on how spicy I wanted my main and also made recommendations which was really helpful and I got the impression he was very proud of the food they were making , they don’t take card payments but it was easy to pop to the nearby cash machine for cash. The order came through pretty quick and I even got some complimentary popadoms which was a nice touch. So back home we tucked into the 3 starters which included a dip , salad and a roti , all of which were delicious. After that we had half of our mains saving the other half for the next nights tea , both of the mains were full of flavour and delicious we were two happy people and the curry leaf will be our go to place for an Asian meal , can’t recommend enough.

I have been using Curry Leaf for a few years and I have to say it's the best Indian Takeaway in Hull. Not only for their food but for the full customer service experience. I always get a large family order and have only once had had a minor issue with the an order which they literally went above and beyond to rectify! My order this evening was placed through their app ( you get discounts and loyalty points do far better than just eat etc..), as usual there were options to suit all tastes and priced well. Some dishes I like to have tailored to my personal specifications which Curry Leaf are only happy to oblige, and for which i am extremely grateful. The food arrived within good time, piping hot and was absolutely delicious! The Tiger prawns were plump and succulent, the chicken was perfectly moist and each dish was bursting with flavour. The chefs are wonderful and the staff in general care so much about the customer....which is a rare thing these days.... I highly recommend Curry Leaf!! Thank you for a lovely meal!

Visited Curry Leaf for Xmas Eve take out. I cannot recommend it enough. We’ve been looking for a curry shop since our local closed 4 years ago and this is the best out of what we have tried. The notable bits: sauce taste and consistency, the side dishes, great rice and bread and portion size. I can recommend the dishes we had Chicken Madras and lamb bhuna. Outstanding dishes. I shall be returning.

Disgusting attitude, pre ordered for delivery, order was confirmed by them, one hour later get a message from uber saying order cancelled... Then called the restaurant to ask what was going on, the girl on phone said ill find out... Heard a guy in the background shouting say we are too busy i cancel the order..... ... Poor poor service

Absolutely dreadful. They were 55 mins late which can happen, but instead of apologising and giving me a realistic time, so I could replan, they just lied and lied with no apology. When the food came it was awful. They give 4 poppadoms with the pickle tray and then hardly any onion. I had 3.5 poppadoms left over. They curry was so sweet it tasted like a pudding with chili.

Ordered a takeaway curry tonight. 3 different curries all very tasty and very different unlike some Indian restaurants. Would highly recommend and wil definitely try again

Absolutely the best Indian I have had hands down. Owner is a great guy,fantastic chefs really cant fault the place. And the indian cheese from the starter menu just has to be tried. Tikka masala is also fantastic.

Will not go anywhere else in Hull for an Indian takeaway. They don't deliver to us because we're out of their catchment, which is probably a good thing cause id end up getting it every week!!! My partner and I never regret the drive to the other end of the city. The food is amazing, the kitchen is always clean, and the prices are good too. The staff are really friendly and nothings too much trouble.

Amazing food, everything was piping hot and cooked perfectly. Been here several times for takeaway and cannot recommend highly enough. So tasty, and not expensive at all. We will continue to use Curry leaf now as it's our favourite Indian place in Hull. Highly recommend!

Curry Leaf is the best India take away I have found in my area, hence why I use the place so much. The food is excellent as always and the girls that delivery and very polite and meet my requirements as being in a wheelchair. Having moved away from my usual Indian takeaway, needed to start supporting the locals. This was the best choice I've made. Never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. I wouldn't have any qualms about recommending this takeaway for a meal of exceptional quality.

Ordered my food as usual quick response to confirm order, 1 and a half hours later I ring up to find where my order was and they said “give me another 20 minutes” ended up cancelling.. they are based not even a 5 minute drive from myself

Awful service, 2 hrs for delivery on a £45 order. Rang twice, each time to be told ‘it’s on it’s way’ I live 5 mins down the road... food is poor quality too. Total waste of money, I ordered at 19:30 it’s now 21:45 and I’m far form hungry. Thanks 👍🏻

Food was amazing. Went on a very busy Saturday night and their phone was constantly ringing. My food took around ten minutes to cook and honestly half hour wait would be worth it. The staff are very friendly there and even made me a dish that wasn't on the menu. Will definitely be going back

Would have rated 0 if possible, ordered £40 worth of food for collection to get home and half of it missing! Then had to ring 4 times before getting the remainder of my order delivered. Absolutely shocking service waiting 50 minutes for the rest of the food! Would not reccomend!

Best indian take away i have ever had, went there every dinner during my visit in Hull.

Visited for the first time yesterday after a leaflet was posted through my door just before Christmas. At first thought the outside looked like it needed a little attention, however upon entering the take away was very impressed the spotless open kitchen, we wasn't sure quite sure what 2nd dish we wanted, but the very helpful friendly guy behind the counter recommended a second dish for us taking into account our curry type, we ended up ordering a Lamb Tikka Lanka & Lamb Tikka Naga, chips, rice and naan, they though in some poppadoms as well. We shared both meals and they where excellent, plenty of lamb in delicious flavoursome sauces, the rice was perfect as where the chips and naan. Really glad that I tried this place rather than using the normal Indian take away we always use. Will certainly be ordering again very soon. Was also given a 10% discount leaflet for future orders. Highly recommend this take away.

The meat used in our takeaway was poor. The tikka lamb in particular was tough and full of gristle. We unfortunately left most of the takeout as it was dry. Luckily the nan bread was lovely and fresh. It was disappointing.

The worst takeaway I have ever ordered in over twenty years and by far the worst curry in any country I've ever visited. Onion baji soggy and gone off - reported this to Hull City Council. I took a bite and immediately spat it out, tasted of sick and was clearly rotten in the middle. The curry was diabolical and bland, rice just as bad. The worst experience and for £30 will never, ever be returning. Disgraceful.

Takeaway arrives two hours earlier than wanted. First they offer to replace the meal at the correct time. When that time came no takeaway arrives. They said as we accepted the delivery (thrust into my wifes arms by a delivery driver) they didn't think we wanted it! So they said they'd make a fresh order but it would have to wait. Decided on a refund instead, where they insisted the manager called me back. Got a hard sell from the Manager for taking more food which we were past at that point and got fish and chips instead! He did apologise which I accepted... The review has come because after that I got a call from Just Eat about my refund. They again repeated the Managers hard sell to send us new food instead of the refund. We said we didn't want it as we made alternate plans which they agreed too. I then got another call from just eat that they had spoked with the Curry Leaf and they wanted the food back if I was getting my refund. Fine with us as we are honest and hadn't touched a bite. 30 minutes later the driver turns up. A total of 3 and a half hours from the first delivery to take the food back. I hope no one got served this reheated, we can't trust a place that does this and felt incredibly pressured throughout.

Got home no rice. Thought ok at least I've got a Nan Bread. Tried the Kofta Buna, it tasted like they had emptied the salt pot into it. Very poor will not return

Thus is a cracking little take away. I always use Curry Leaf when I'm feeling a little treat us required, Great tasting Indian food , I don't eat meat so always have veg options that carry no dairy also. Great service and staff recommend if you want a great tasty dish delivered to your door or in my case sofa.

First time I have used this place and very impressed. We ordered 4 meals including starters. The quality was excellent so was the quantity. We realised few minutes into eating that one of the Nan breads hadn’t been delivered, just as we were deciding what was the best action they rang us apologised and said it would be delivered. Few minutes later it arrived. Great service.

Very tasty good sized portions. Arrived on time. If I had a fault it could of been warmer. Had mixed starter for 2 and chicken tikka with chips and rice and more than enough for 2 of us.
