Best Indian food in Hull. Fantastic service, would highly recommend

I ordered take away, there’s no quantity, Im not an ant, All the food less than half filled. I never gonna order from this place. It’s a terrible experience. If you’re hungry never order from this place.

Amazing Food. Both the lamb and chicken were absolutely first class. The sauces and rice are nice. Faultless twice for us and we are big Indian food fans.

There were 6 of us and everything ordered was delicious, great prices and friendly staff. Will visit again.

Food was alright. We came with a group of friends. I ordered pineapple juice but I got a highly sweetened drink which tasted like sugar water. When I asked about it, the waitress got very agitated and defensive. She was condescending throughout our time at the restaurant. It was an uncomfortable experience. EDIT: It is standard practice to serve the same quality of drinks on one table if it is from the same item category. At that time when I told you the drink was sweet, you kept saying it’s just a different carton. You didn’t make it seem like you were keen to change it. Anyway, the way you replied to this review is how you were towards our table last night.

In my honest opinion the best part of my order was the chips,they were seasoned and very nice,the sheek kebabs didn’t look cooked and tasted dreadfull,we ordered the chicken korma and the butter chicken,chicken was cooked well but it just had a very dull metal taste and I don’t know why that was, naan breads were really nice! Unfortunately the full meal went straight through all off us, my partner was up most the night being sick. I can’t attribute this to the meal but I suspect it was so. The delivery time was ridiculous 2hrs but in all honesty I believe they use a third party delivery service so this may be the reason,also and it came cold but this can also be the delivery company’s issue. Absolutely beautiful food I tried 16 dishes and every single one was mouth wateringly good couldn't recommend it enough . And the staff are so friendly and polite . Perfect for a mid week Meal or a first date

Went to Banarasi for the first time as my partner highly recommended it. We both had the all you can eat menu. We were served the first lot of food which was 4 plates and then the 3 plates in the first 50 minutes. However the dining experience went downhill due to waiting 45 minutes for our order to be taken for the 2 plates which followed. We waited over an hour for the next plates which tainted the visit as we didn’t feel very looked after - our finished empty small plates were on the table for all that time as no staff member checked on us to take our order. The restaurant itself is lovely and well maintained with gorgeous food presented to a high standard. Felt invisible the last hour of being there and wanted to leave as it was not the evening we had in mind, the restaurant was half full and we didn’t get the opportunity to ask a member of staff to order as they were dashing off between other tables before we could say something hence why we didn’t feel looked after.

Quality: mostly pretty tasty but one of the curries was very clearly cream of tomato soup with some coriander in it which was a bit disappointing. Collection: said 20 minutes pre-order. Once accepted it said 45 minutes. Actually over an hour and included a half hour wait inside the restaurant.

According to me food is no good it's like ok ok..but service not good ..all team members are rude as well as not serious about customers ...all time too much waiting for services ..

Really good concept if you want to try lots of different things on the menu. Service was a little slow initially but the Manager acknowledged this and made up for it with great hosting. Will return!

The food was excellent and fortunately I am not actually vegetarian but a chicken curry was sent instead of the vegetable curry I ordered.

Great hot rapid food and service, shame no drinks options, accompany sauces very small

Ordered for delivery which arrived ok, no spillages or anything. Spent around £50 on the meal. The good:- Peshwari naan was nice. It was quite simple in that it was filled with dessicated coconut and something sweet, guessing sugar. There was no sultanas like you get in some. I liked it. Some might expect more in it. Prawn Puri was very nice. Ordered a few different curries which had big chunks of chicken in them and a fair few pieces too. They were what we'd expect. The bad: Some of the portion sizes were dismal. One starter costing almost £7 had four small king prawns that barely covered the bottom of the small container they came in. The tiny amount of salad that came with the starters was all the same and consisted of thinly sliced red onion mainly. Sauces that were sent was an absolute tiny amount. Onion bhajis were average. Food has 3 stars for poor value in the main, uninspiring salads and basic recipes. Service has 3 stars due to not feeling a valued customer really, no personality came though so not much to mark it on. No extra poppadoms that most places give out. Atmosphere is 3 stars. Can't judge too much on it as had takeaway so going by the deflated feeling when looking at the portion size, I can only imagine being in a restaurant and served up the same. Verdict: Would I use this place again? It's doubtful. It was ok but it felt in the main, poor value for money and nothing out of the ordinary. There are some interesting dishes on the menu that are different to the average Indian, which Hull definitely needs, but the image of the pathetic starter with the 4 prawns will stay with me for a long time putting me off.

I took my son out Saturday night there first time.. .. Absolutely enjoyed the food , atmosphere and the staff.. the after taste of the food is glorious. Can still taste it and it's A Definitely Be going again. And love the Angel wings as you walk in. Heaven Awaits for sure.

Chicken in the tikka and Saga was quite dry as were the chips. Starters were good. Fast delivery and food was hot. Not bad but not great either.

The menu clearly labeled the vegetarian options so made ordering simple. We visited on a Friday night and the service was fast and the food was great value for money. Would recommend to others :)

Food was not good curry was drowning in grease ended up in the bin..and for the £13 mixed grill wos a small container of tasteless meat. Won’t be ordering again unfortunately

Awful customer service and food wouldn’t recommend at all food quality has gone down since they changed their chef and that guy Rabi your manager should’ve left you in charge not even for a minute no customer service at all 👎🏻 Also if someone orders Diet Coke you should inform the customer that you dont have any instead of giving them a bottle of Coca-Cola saying its sugar free they are not same! No wonder the restaurant was empty

Been using banarasi for years and it's always been beautiful. Just received our takeaway tonight and the packaging was loose so one of the curries had opened in the bag and spoilt. The madras was absolutely swimming in grease. It's disgusting. The chips were disgusting, soggy and cold, appear to be reheated. I phoned the restaurant to make them aware, and they told me it's the drivers problem and not theirs. Won't be using again. 30 quid and only the naan bread and rice was edible. Edit: it's your product that you sell through a third party. If the third party is failing to deliver your goods appropriately, that's your problem not the customers. You choose to trade on them, not us. Don't try and pass the blame on to others, take some responsibility. The fact the packaging opened, is only one element of the complaint, was deliveroo responsible for the rest of it? Look at the madras, would you genuinely serve that to dining in customers? You'd get laughed at, it's horrendous, or maybe it's deliveroos fault I guess.

Hidden gem of Hull. If you haven't gone for their buffet, you've missed a great opportunity to sample a variety of food. But check before you go because the buffet is not on everyday. If you live in/visit Hull you have to go to this place!!!!

Absolutely awful. First time ordering, was advised of 30 minute delay, called the restaurant and got no apology and was told it would be at least 1 hour late. Cancelled order and they reported it as delivered……never using either service again.

Not has good as Bengal pride. This was Bengal lounge, my new review is for Banasari. Visited with my partner on a Saturday night with no booking @ at about 9.30. It was no trouble at all & we was shown to our table by a young pleasant waitress. Our drinks order was taken promptly & we was given time to make our food choices, The waitress came to take our food order but then a waiter came & said he would take it instead. ( he said in case she made a mistake) I felt sorry for the waitress as she was really nice & didn’t think this was a nice situation in front of customers. We ordered our food & we always ask for slight difference to the menu, but again this was no issue at all. We was brought some free poperdoms as they said our food would be a little while longer, nice touch thank you, Our food came & it was the best Indian food I have tasted for a long while. My partner ordered the chicken garlic chill Karai. I ordered a vegetable korai. & the flours was gorgeous with the right amount of spice. My partner ordered a garlic Nan & I a peshwari Nan, the bread was the freshest I have tasted . There was a mix up with the bill but this was easly sorted & would not put me off going again as the food was fantastic. Hoping to visit again soon

Very disappointing. After waiting 1hr 35 for it to arrive, food was luke warm at best. Chips and poppadoms were soggy. Overall, 80% of the food wasnt eaten due to poor quality. Definitely not worth £37

Great food, not the best service but the restaurant was very busy so could understand why the service wasn't the best. When coming to pay the bill was £495 for 15 people, I'd already paid a £70 deposit, this wasn't deducted from the total, so had to remind the waiter to deduct our deposit.

Food was really cold when arrived. Otherwise I reckon it would have been spot on. Disappointed when you read such good reviews and pay £30 for food to come cold. The driver delivered it in an aldi bag so no wonder it was cold

Curries were lovely, the saag in particular. Ordered a bunch of side dishes - saag paneer, Bombay potatoes and okra all fantastic. Definitely want to try the street food and maybe go sit in. Definitely recommend

As a group of 5 ladies, we had a most enjoyable night. We opted for the all you can eat option, which every one of us thoroughly enjoyed. Not one of us had anything that wasn't cooked perfectly, and it all was all presented nicely too. We just about tried everything. The portion sizes were really good, so not too much & not too little, perfectly sized, to try dishes. We will definitely be visiting again 💯

There is no better takeaway and restaurant in the entirety of Hull in my opinion. Don’t waste your time buying food from anywhere else except here! Always warm, always tasty, always on time and always the best quality!
