Piping hot,fairly priced but would love some scraps with it and you can’t order

Fish was very dry and overcooked which spoilt the whole meal unfortunately

Best fish and chips in hull ,and the best onion rings we have ever had ,proper home made the food is worth every penny

This has got to be the first time I've been so disappointed with the food . I ordered fish chips and peas and ended up with a gold fish in batter . 2 sausage and a bread cake ,chips came with this as not ordered at the cost of £17 well John I won't be coming back 🥺

Placed my order very quickly once I had entered the shop. Unfortunately when I arrived home they'd forgotten something from my order. I quickly called them and they immediately sent my food out with a driver,that's great customer service and was massively appreciated. Lovely staff and food was also very good.

Great meal again minus the potato scallops as these changed into two onion rings! But hey ho, as already mentioned food nice and hot and flavoursome

Food was nice but shame they missed a patty off the order and the medium haddock was very small and half the size of the large haddock.

when i received my order the sausage was missing the driver went back to the shop and was back in no time at all with the sausage it was a lovely meal

Lovely delivery driver, and absolutely fantastic fish delivered. Gave me and my son a little extra Pattie and sausage! We are both delighted. Going back and enjoying it again very soon.

Food wasn’t even ready on collection, one meal was missing & had to wait for it & returned home to then find another item missing so husband had just chips for his meal!! Not good enough. Poor young girl was struggling to cope on her own with a very grumpy & inept older man cooking & getting everything wrong.

First time we have used this takeaway as we are not local .Had to wait for food but this was not a problem as everything was piping hot and the fish which was cooked to order upon entering was absolutely delicious. . Looks like they deliver and also take telephone orders. Definitely recommend a visit.

Greeted by staff who couldn't do enough for you. Great service .... Then a little starter of a patty butty on recommendation of the waitress. She suggested salt and lots of vinegar but I insisted on gravy aswel. It transpires I was correct However the fish was served with very crispy golden batter,the chips wasn't greasy but golden and fluffy covered in vinegar sandwiches in bread with thick tasty gravy, salt pepper as a garnish. service was impeccable

First time I went in today, very friendly staff and really good prices. I had the fish special which was coley rather than cod or haddock and it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be popping in again. Fantastic

Fish was lovely. Curry sauce okay. All the chips were awful black and unedible. And the spam fritter was cold and I have carpets thicker although the cat ate it. Won't be coming back for a while. Hugely disappointed 😞

Following discussion with neighbours about evening meal they said they would try on our recommendation, they both stated that the meal was well worth it and enjoyed it thoroughly, both were open mouthed when the saw the portion size of the fish. Thanks once again as all four of us enjoyed our meals

The fish was horrible. It was soggy batter, fish wasn't cooked properly. It was yuk.the chips not too bad.

Ordered the afternoon tea as treat and wow what can I say. Portion sizes excellent and delivered in boxes so need for plates or the washing up. Food delicious and hot from start to finish. Would highly recommend as great value for money

I ordered large fish and small chips with mush peas…. Devine!! Far far superior to any other chip shop I’ve tried in the area. I haven’t lived here long and had given up hope of finding a decent chippy, until now. Will definitely be back. Probably weekly haha. Oh and the delivery driver was a really nice chap.

The food was lovely!!! The only things I had an issue with was the batter on the patty was a bit pale this time and the large fish we ordered wasn't as large as usual. Apart from this it was really nice as always.

Everything was OK apart from the fish. I am still at a loss as to what this was? I wasn’t expecting haddock for the price but a bit of hake would have been acceptable, what was sent had a pink hue and is unlike any chip shop fish I’ve ever tasted?!? Was it Catfish?

Fish was sloppy and batter not cooked enough ,needed another ten mins cooking at least ,and sausage was inedible , fish fritter again not cooked enough , sorry won't be using again ,

ETA was 19:20 - 19:40, at exactly 19:40 the screen changed from "On it's way" to "Enjoy your food". No food had arrived, no delivery had been made. No communication from the restaurant or the driver was received. I phoned the restaurant, rung out for over 10 minutes, no pick up. Appalling customer service.

Food was late and short one meal. One meal item was very undersized. Very unhelpful and actually swore at me and became abusive when I said I would come to shop and sort it out. Would never use again. Worst service ever.

Ordered here for a long time, Food came cold, arrived 2 hours after originally ordered. Driver was oblivious! Customer service was also terrible! Will not be ordering from here again, It's happened way to many times to count now.

Great fish, patty and chips. Had to order an expensive breadbud and small peas to make the order up, but neither were in the box. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!! Delivery was spot on. Not happy about the missing part of the order

We ordered the family meal deal, the fish was grey and sloppy, in my opinion had been frozen, or not haddock. 2 fish cakes were missing and also the peas and gravy, even though I asked the delivery driver,when I couldn’t see any cartons, see said they were in the boxes. I tried calling ‘Johns plaice’ to remedy this, but nobody answered the phone.

Got some really nice fish & chips from here. everything is very fresh and the staff are polite and efficient .....They also advertise delivery , although I never tried it because I live 300 yards away ! 😃 *edit Recently can't help feeling that customers who actually physically go to to the shop are having to wait much longer because of staff prioritising on-line orders silly me for getting off my backside and going to get my (not so ) fast food ! If the situation continues I'll vote with my feet !
