We stopped off here mid-walk and enjoyed a couple of coffees, tea and a couple of their breakfast bagels (one bacon and one fried egg) The bagels made locally were delicious and the staff were really friendly. Very reasonably priced too!

Super fresh sushi made daily in front of customers, wide selection to choose from. Tasting available at certain times of the day too to try for free. Selection of dry goods also available such as miso soup, wasabi peas, a variety of noodles and the famous well known crunchy onion. Range of sauces and Japanese drinks such as Ramune Lemonade, Sake and Beers are also available.

Really disappointed having to write this review and it is no way directed at the 3 lovely servers you had on today. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 drinks, a hot chocolate and a latte. The queue was horrendous for hot food but we thought drinks wouldn’t take that long!! One lady behind the counter was particularly good and kept informing the queue what was going on and apologising for the delay. (Think she wore glasses) They were rushed off their feet and had to stop taking orders!! In my opinion this is brand damaging and putting unnecessary strain on the lady’s working there. When the drinks did finally arrive mine was warm at best and had a distinct taste of onions. I couldn’t be bothered to go back! This really needs addressing asap. I have never been dissatisfied with Fodder and have often enjoyed a breakfast with you. I think basically the upshot of my complaint is those ladies deserve better.

Luckily for us we swerved the Premier Inn next door and booked here at Al Bivio Top service and food and a lovely venue with atmosphere and warmth. The staff were so welcoming, the service was exceptional and the food was amazing at a very reasonable price. Met at the door, asked if wanted to hang out coats, seen straight to our table, very attentive staff with a smiles and a genuine warmth. Would definitely recommend 100% and will return when next in the area

We had quite a mixed experience at Al Bivio, where we had to eat as the neighbouring Premier Inn had made a hash of their evening meal provision. We went on two occasions: an excellent pizza, with a generous home-made base, and a delicious pasta dish with chicken and white wine. However, from the Specials lists, a lasagne was quite tough, and my seafood risotto over-salty, though I would add that it was generously filled. A pet theme of mine: this restaurant is NOISY! Not one single absorbent surface anywhere, just a bare glass frontage and plain walls that reflect sound. Having a conversation in here feels like hard work.

Stayed two nights a few weeks ago. Rooms smell musty, carpets grim. Breakfast was a shambles, messy, running out of food and drinks, no crockery. Person on reception didn’t wan to be there. Excellent location is only plus.

Food safety procedures don’t exist. No gloves wear and direct hands on food like grated cheese. Staff on their phones after washing hands and come back straight to touch food without washing again and gloves. Touching clothing, objects and face and straight tooling of food. Dirty nails with chipped nail varnish. No regard to allergies and allergens. I do not recommend! Reported.

Ordered takeaway. Awful, won't be doing that again. Was cold when arrived, live only couple of mins away, two pieces of potato and one piece of cauliflower, onions raw the rest was chilli and spice and no veg sauce, burnt my mouth. Husbands tandoori mixed grill so small it fit on a side plate. I threw most of mine
