Phenomenal food, great staff, and a brilliant cozy atmosphere! This is definitely one of those go-to places to visit on the weekend.

Went to Harrogate to go to the Turkish baths and found this gem of a bar that we went to before hand! Funky, laid back, vibey setting. Wish my house was decorated the same. Friendliest guy at the bar. Lovely staff all round. Great beer line up! And top notch non alcohol selects. It’s got a groovy pool table as well that is refreshingly free. Came for the baths - but would certainly come back for another trip to Paradise.

Some of the best Mexican style street food I’ve had, reminded me of food I’d eaten on the West Coast of the US. Amazing flavours and good portion sizes. Lots of choice available on menu and good options for veggie/ vegan. It wasn’t immediately clear to us it wasn’t table service so we hung around in the entrance for a little while confused and it would have been nice to have been welcomed and directed. We will definitely return!

Food was very well presented but just wasn’t to my taste wasn’t what I expected. I’d only had birria tacos before this and that’s what I was expecting so probably my own fault the place was very lively and a good all round vibe service was really good

Omg, it was worth every bit to come find this gem during our stay in Harrogate. I'm a California native, and tacos are part of our staple diet. The love and care put into the food here, let alone the handmade tortillas made me adore this spot even more. It's just ALMOST like getting homemade food at my friends' house, except cooler with the vibe like at a backyard cookout with chill people. THANK YOU to the staff and owners for making my tastebuds dance! Having fresh made tortillas, carnitas with tomatillo salsa, and access to proper hot sauces like Valentina and El Yucateco made me have tears of joy. The hot sauce variety makes me wish I had another stomach to eat more tacos with them. Cannot wait to try more! The friendliness of the people who run this spot translates to the food. And the queso!!! My goodness I squealed while eating it as cheesy fries that were basically fully loaded nachos style. Even the fries alone were crispy and tasty. Let me tell you, I would buy big jars of this as their queso is like queso fundido. Just savoury, smoothy indulgence that can make anything taste even more delicious. Kudos to the texture as honestly it's a skill, and the queso here reminded me of the homemade ones I grew up on thanks to my friends' grandparents. The frozen margaritas were spot on as well. Full bang on flavour and alcohol hit without getting lost in the ice. I'd happily down pints of this if there we an option. You know the owners have done their due diligence tasting Mexican flavours to bring out what they think are best, and I happen to agree with what they've come up with so far. Several more dishes, if they were to come like carne asada and tamales, and I'd have to move up here to get my California staple diet back again. Haha. I've tried many taco contenders, but Paradise surpasses them still and I truly believe it's because of the passion of the owners. Absolutely fun spot that is wheelchair friendly, comfortable, and I loved it being dog friendly as well to greet those who bring them along. SUPPORT THIS SPOT as your stomach would not regret it.

I really enjoy this restaurant my only comments for improvement would be the music and a QR code for ordering food. As lovely as the music is, it’s always too loud, you can’t hear the people at your table. This is not me being old but people have hearing conditions which could make them go elsewhere and miss out on this wonderful place. Thanks to all the staff for their great service.

Really lovely little hidden gem in Harrogate! Such a comfy & cosy atmosphere, really yummy food (loved the quesadilla) and the frozen margaritas are also nice. Will definitely be coming back as I think it’s a warm and inviting place!

Paradise Tap and Taco is a cool spot! Owned by Josh and Ellie, it offers the best food I’ve had in North Yorkshire. I’ve watched Josh and Ellie build this place from the ground up, via social media. It’s a great achievement. The music is great, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you're riding a motorbike, there’s parking right outside, which is super convenient. Plus, the pool table upstairs is a nice touch. Highly recommend this place—5 stars!

Awesome bar with such a nice atmosphere and warm welcoming staff. A wide selection of drinks and delicious Mexican food. They also cater very well for allergies and dietry preferences.

Advertises as Mexican street food. Nice indoor seating. No table service. You order at the counter and pick up your food yourself. Food comes in paper containers and wooden silverware. Torteas were cold. If I was eating it take away, would have been ok. Sitting down in a restaurant I expect real plates and silverware. Will never return.

First timers to Paradice and now we've tasted it we want more. We had buttitos and the barman recommended the sour mango beer to go with it. Perfect combo, both were amazing and great value. The place was busy but not annoyingly so , great music too. Don't be fooled by it's small entrance as its like a tardis inside and brimming with atmosphere

Incredible burritos! Staff were super friendly and attentive. We had the veggie maple mushroom burrito and vegan avocado and black bean burrito. I usually think vegan cheese is a waste of time but this was v good (actually cheesy in taste). Perfect balance of lime across the board.

Josh and his wife who's on the grill are honestly the greatest thing that happened in my life. They were very professional.

A more perfect venue could not be imagined. Located opposite the Jubilee car park entrance in town centre with a welcoming, brightly painted shop front. We were greeted with genuinely friendly faces and the most beautiful scent of insence (nag champa?) No bookings needed and dogs and children are welcome. We comfortably sat 7 adults and 1 child downstairs near the bar. The ambience made me nostalgic with vintage posters, bric-a-brac and old family photos. Cracking tunes (Van Morrison, Bowie, Oasis to name a few) The decor is stripped back and simple with cosy warm colours and low lighting, upcycled school chairs and stools with 70s style diner tables and all impeccably clean. I was transported back to my childhood, thankfully sans the cloud of cigarette smoke of bygone times. We took a peak upstairs before we left and the upstairs is spacious and bathed in light from large picture windows and sports a free pool table. But enough about the venue.... The food!!!! OMGeerrrd! The food!!!!! A simple brekkie menu, freshly prepared with large portions and epic flavours. I couldn't finish my Huevos rancheros with added avocado and chorizo but every bite was heaven. My mates ordered the meaty burrity and hash browns which were also delicious. We can't wait to visit again and sample the lunch/dinner menu and all the intriguing cask ales on offer. Just what we needed in Hgate to add to our already colourful independent venues. Please please please show your support to this deserving family run business. Well done guys and see you again soon. Some of the loveliest staff I've ever met, amazing atmosphere both day and night, free pool table, great beer and incredible food. I have just tried their new breakfast burrito and the fact that they even offered me painkillers for my hangover was the cherry on the top for me 😍😂 Already one of my favourite bars in Harrogate

The bar man was defiantly on drugs and was quite rude to us whilst we were there.

Love Paradise! We first went to a pop up of theirs last year at Leeds Terminus and when we found out they were having a brick and mortar in Harrogate my partner's been dying to go. We ended up going for my partner's birthday and everything was perfect. Was just the 2 of us but easy getting a table around midday. Drinks were great especially the frozen marg. So many amazing choices for food, especially for vegetarians. We didn't notice a long wait for food, had a few drinks, got our favourite the fried halloumi. Really everything was perfect and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

The food here is delicious and it’s such a great atmosphere. Me and my partner have visited multiple times and love it! Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait for food as it’s so busy but we just order an extra drink to last until food arrives as it’s such a nice bar to relax in.

Had a great ‘Sunday lunch’ here. Borritto, margaritas Sundays are the way forward! A Good Guinness too, which is much needed in Harrogate.

Perhaps on the pricier side (£40 for 2 burritos, 2 admittedly delicious, local craft beers, and chips and dip) but worth it to support an independent and for the food that brings quantity and quality. There's seating at the back - quite dimly lit so cosy during the winter, upstairs is lighter and probably more comfortable. We'll be back!

A really cool venue serving excellent street foodie treats! I really want to come back here for a drink as the bar choice looks great, but so far we come once a month for the Mexican food, their menu has some great vegetarian and vegan options and is fresh and tasty, whilst the service is always fast and friendly ❤️

I was always a fan of the burritos down at Roosters so it's great to see they have found a place of their own! Visited the new bar for the first time tonight. The staff were friendly and all smiling! Just had the one pint after work, but enjoyed it thoroughly because of great company and a awesome atmosphere so will definitely be back to try some food soon.

So glad these guys are back in town. Their new location is tucked away but really central and has a great atmosphere. Amazing beer, lovely staff and just about the best burritos money can buy. Great vegan options too!

Mexican street food, done very well. Portions are very generous, we definitely over did it but tried out best to get it all in. Try everything, come more than once and even if you're not vegetarian try some of the veggie options 👌🏻 One piece of advice, grab a table yourself, everything is ordered at the bar. Could do with a sign saying as much but didn't detract from the experience and it's only their first week open!

Great first visit! Food still as good as when a pop-up elsewhere! Would have recommended the spicy chips but not an option given by Google! Good selection of draught beers and bottled drinks (I had a very tasty lime soda). Definitely visiting again!

So happy thay Harrogate finally has a Mexican spot, as it's one of my favourites! Paradise definitely did not disappoint - the food was fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and I can't wait to come back!

I’m so so glad this wonderful bar has finally opened for good. My partner and I absolutely love Mexican food, something which Harrogate has been sorely lacking, and we have been waiting for it to open. I can honestly say that the paradise team have not disappointed. The pork burrito we had today was excellent- better than any we have tried and we have tried a good few! The beer selection looks excellent, and if it weren’t for dry January we would have stayed all night. We will be back next weekend and I already can’t wait! Fantastic job guys, 10/10.

Has a great atmosphere, a nice selection of drinks, cool speakers and decor, good prices. Harrogate needed something like this, can’t wait to see it grow and develop as time goes on, the owners are lovely and have def put a lot of thought in.

Phenomenal burrito, good music, good vibes! The new venue is gorgeous with comfy soft seating, warm side lighting and friendly service. Would 100% recommend.

Rich is an absolute gent, he went above and beyond, deserves a raise! He made everyone feel at ease and so so welcome. Oh and the tacos were to die for!! Again.. Rich!!

Came here on a bit of a detour on the way home from York one day. Staff were super accommodating, service was top notch and the food & drink were first class. Will be back again.... And again.

Amazing burritos, absolutely stuffed with filling but don't feel super heavy/stodgy which is always good! Really enjoyed our meal and the dips were all so tasty. This may become our new regular takeaway place!

We recently collected a take away order. The food was delicious and a great portion size. We eat quite a bit of Mexican food and this was one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. Add to that, they seem like a friendly team and a great local independent. We're looking forward to having a sit in meal in the future!

Great spot - the tacos are bangin as is the beer selection & tune selection. Service... need I say more, it was phenomenal. And what can be said about the bar staff, you need to see it for yourself to believe it. Just Major wow. 10/10 best bar in hgate no doubt. Peace

If you’re in Harrogate you’ve got to try this place, been every week since they opened. Amazing tacos, great veggie/vegan and GF options, fantastic range of beers, cool space and super friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more!

Exactly what Harrogate has been missing! Delicious food, great drinks and friendly staff. It’s clear to see why Paradise is so popular! I know nothing about beer so find it really helpful that the team want to help you out and are extremely knowledgeable. Would recommend also treating yourself to a Jarritos! I’ve been a few times and the food never disappoints. Everything is so fresh and there’s a great range of veggie options too. Highlights are the halloumi tacos with pineapple salsa and the corn elote 👌

Utter legends, beautifully spiced and tasty food, excellent beers and great staff, couldn't ask for better. Only minor constructive comment would be to have a beer menu or chalk board to have a scout at, otherwise a great place to be

Food is over priced and was served cold - the tortillas did not seem fresh and the elote was well done but very cold. I also got the chips and dips and the dips were very bland and flavorless. Normally when you get street tacos they are served in threes - this is two tacos for £7. I was excited for a taco place in the area - but this experience was extremely disappointing. The service was good and the server was apologetic.

Really amazing food! We had barbacoa beef and grilled halloumi tacos, the menu is full of options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans with great beers and drinks available too! Current venue set up is really cosy and chilled, hope all goes well with this new venture, definitely worth supporting and going if you can 👍 Plus they are dog friendly.
