my favourite takeaway shop, we travel from york everytime but it’s always worth it:) the parmos are top tier!!

He charged me 22 pound for a donner kebab and a chicken kebab. He really ripped me off when I complained about it he said he's charging for the chips " that should of come with the chicken kebab" he charged me for salad " that should of came with the donner kebab. He also charged me for the dip sauces that should of come with the kebabs. And even with all of that I still can't see how it came to 22 pound. Proper ripped off. When I complained he just started complaining about the prices he has to pay and the rises. Just charged me what he wants and he doesn't like it when you pay with card. So he can't pocket the tax!

How long does 2 portions of chips, rice and curry sauce take. Currently sat on 1 hrs 30. Absolutely insane. Tried to save myself a bit of time. Rang after an hour after order evidently missed and currently sat half hour later. Shocking

Great food, great drinks, great company!

This was our third visit to the Topiary Cafe at Strikes. Previously we had Scones and Coffee which where fine. However, this time, as we where quite hungry we opted to try some thing more substantial. The "Specials" board offered Chef's Quiche of the Day with Salad and Chips for £10.95. However , when we came to order we where amazed to find that in fact it was the Quiche with either Salad "or" Chips. We chose one with Chips and one with Salad with the intent of sharing Chips and Salad from each others plates. We also ordered two Americano Coffees upgraded to Large for an extra 20p. The Food arrived at our chosen table promptly where we both shocked by the miniscule portion size. Although the Cheese and Onion Quiche was tasty the pasty was under cooked with very soggy bottom. The Salad "Leaves" where those fiddly "Chefy" things. The Chips where excellent. The coffee was very good, however, why was one cup only two thirds full. Is the extra 20p upgrade to "Large" for more coffee or just a hot water top-up ?. Total Bill amounted to £28.50 which was "Not" good value, in fact it was poor. Very disappointing.

I orded lamb shish kabab at £10 the lamb was of a small portion and small pieces burnt worst I've ever had the tray consists of 3 compartment with very little salad in 2 of them 2 pitta breads just flashed on both sides both still white chilly sauce cold but ok size tub would I recommend no

i went on a Tuesday and was served by a young man who was very polite. I got a chicken Kiev pizza and it was fabulous I will definitely come again especially on a Tuesday to get served by the young man again who made my experience so good!

Spent a lot of time in this pub when passing in the area. Arrived for a family meal after a day out in Thirsk. The welcoming from the blonde/gray larger sized women was abysmal very cold and frosty, boarding on rude, like our custom was not wanted. It is such a shame as this pub has so much potential, the food prices had also increased and the quantity was far from what it was. I really hope some magic dust gets sprinkled on this place and some new management takes on this place soon. I do not want to spend my hard earned money on somewhere I am not welcomed.

Went here today for Sunday lunch after a walk around cod beck with our dog. There was literally no one in and we thought it was just a bit early (12.30pm). We ordered 2 pork lunches. Waited around 40 minutes for it to arrive. All I can say is Aunt Bessie would be proud. I would say everything was from the freezer, even the meat. The gravy had a taste of lamb to it which was making me bork as I don’t like lamb. We were so hungry I had to force what I could in, but wrapped the meat up to take home for the dogs (which I didn’t even give to them as it was that disgusting). The most annoying thing is that the waitress came over to ask if everything was ok. I said no. It’s awful. Her reply. ‘Oh’ and walked off! I didn’t want to make a scene for a refund whilst there so made a call to them when I returned home to have some guy answer who stated he would make a note of my complaint and put the phone down on me when I hadn’t finished what I was saying. Called back went to answer phone. I left a message but have had no response. Such poor customer service I’m actually in shock that I’ve been treated that way. I will NEVER return. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Nice and fresh and decent sized portions.

Ordered a Meat Box with chips, food arrived and most of the meat was burnt, donner meat was cold, chips were soggy and cold. Phoned them up straight away, no offer of apology, just said we’ll send another…..NO THANKS. There’s a reason why the reviews are so bad for this place and we found out to our cost, won’t make the same mistake again. Will NEVER order from there again.

Full of black people ,asylum seekers, refugees etc. Northallerton is now ruined !

Unfortunately the fries were not up to much and the service was poor. We ordered a takeaway but the server gave us our food on a try and did not seem pleased to bag it up

Really good value for money and lovely food. The staff were really friendly and helpful. QR code ordering was easy, even with dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a chicken shwarama and Kebab wrap salad and sauce came separately was about a teaspoon of dried chicken and the kebab meat was like leather and tasted of absolutely nish I thought it was cheap and value for money but it was cheap and dreadful will not be returning please stay clear!!!
