This is a gem in Stokesley and always busy with lovely staff. I had the chorizo and mozzarella bagel with a side salad - delicious and filling. All the cakes are homemade by the staff and well worth £4 as they are amazing! Could have eaten loads as so much choice. We will be back as it’s a great atmosphere and value for money!

Everything good , food was great, Service good. but it was way too loud , wife & I , could barely hear each other over table. It was full , I think they had a large group in over many tables. Just lots of loud voices all talking over each other , couldnt wait to get out. Maybe could do with some soft furnishings or something to absorb some noise. Shame really.

Always fun, attentive bar staff, beautiful looking traditional pub. Great decor. Good prices. Land lady and family are extremely friendly and charming.

Great food, super service and staff however they really need to address the fly problem. I’ve been twice recently and both times been bothered by a number of small annoying flies buzzing around my food. It’s really not good enough and clearly a long standing issue as previous reviews also highlight. The problem is spoiling an otherwise fantastic restaurant, our food was delicious, and apart from swatting the little blighters we had a great evening.

Passing through Stokesley to visit family in Thornaby and needed a stop. Very nice food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Stokesley hasn’t changed a lot since I was last up north before Covid. Still a very nice place like the Chspter Deli.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite to eat. The fish was very thin and flavourless with a mushy texture. The batter was very thick and greasy, and it was soggy on the inside. Probably the worst fish I've ever had from a chippy. You can't put your own salt and vinegar on either. I won't be going back.

Cosy and friendly little cafe attached to the Millbry Hill shop but with its own entrance looking out over the bridge and the River Leven in Stokesley. Would definitely recommend the cheese scones.

Visited recently for some food, for a family meal with my partner and the kids, and our friends. We had food and it wasn't great, it arrived cold when we raised this as an issue the guy that was serving us (I can't remember his name, but he had a waistcoat on) seemed very flustered when we complained. The restaurant area was cold and had an odd smell about it. Certainly didn't look like the pictures we had seen on social media which made us book in the first place. Wouldn't recommend.

We had passed by many times but decided to call in for an early evening meal. The Good - the menu is based on what is served in the adjoining Fish & Chip shop. The Bad - service was slow and the food was excessively greasy. The Ugly - the seats are uncomfortable, blue & pink flourescent lighting is a bit nausea inducing and the background music was not in the background but almost killed conversation. An interesting experience but I doubt we'll repeat it.
