Just popped in for a Sunday dinner , beautiful , more than I could eat, but that's not a bad thing better than the reverse 😂

Fabulous place for food, had the Sunday lunch everything was wonderful and tasty, only one area of improvement would be the Yorkshire puddings (squished) and roasts which were bland. But the food was lovely, definitely go back. Pub is lovely only let down by the toilets (mens toilet seat broken)

Called here for lunch last week. Was beautiful. I had the gammon and my friend had the Parmo. Both delicious. Lovely friendly staff who went out their way to help. Will be back again soon x

Immediately got seated and staff were absolutely lovely. Many young waitresses and all very well trained, great service. Food came out within 10 minutes, was piping hot and extremely fresh. Portions were great and roasts were amazing. Overall, one of the most friendly, tastiest restaurants in Stokesley.

From the minute we walked in the door, we were made to feel really welcome. The staff were super friendly. Simon obviously loves his job! The food was incredible. Onion rings were to die for. So tasty and fresh. I had a pie from the pie week menu, really good. Hubby had the Kev burger said it was one of the best he’d had. Dessert was amazing. If only this was closer to home, we’d be coming every week!

Went to the Mill for the first time today for Sunday lunch & it was outstanding huge portions loads of lovely fresh vegetables couldn't fault any of it. Staff were all lovely and friendly they were extremely busy but attentive and efficient. It was very busy so obviously very popular we will definitely be returning can't believe we've never been before!

Thai curry is excellent had it a few times now and never disappointed. Last visit was with a birthday party of 24 guests. No issues with any of the food and service was fantastic 👌

A nice pub restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Good menu and also veggie options. Staff were lovely as always and meals served quickly. Food always nice and seating area well spaced out. Parking OK too

Family meal disaster. 9/10 meals inedible which was mainly due to chicken quality and how it was cooked. Parmo chicken was thin and rock hard This place has deteriorated rapidly since our last visit and will be avoided in the future. We wanted a nice family meal before one member leaves the country but we all left not having eaten which is totally unacceptable. The Mill did not charge us for the 9 meals that were not eaten which was nice of them but I would gladly have paid the usual family meal price to have an enjoyable experience which was something we did not have

Having chosen the Mill for a family meal prior to leaving uk for 8 weeks we had a complete nightmare. The food that was presented was inedible with 9 persons unable to eat their meals due to the standard of the chicken. The chicken in the parmos was very thin and rock hard (difficult to even cut) and gammon was very poor The offer to replace the meals wasnt accepted as the elderly ones in the party couldnt wait so we all left very hungry and upset with the whole episode. The Mill only charged us for the drinks and one meal that was eaten which was nice of them but money wasnt an issue as all we wanted was a nice family meal. We obviously wont be returning but the Mill need to resolve the issues which caused such a disappointing family evening

Went here for evening meal we had nachos, duck pancakes, salt and pepper prawns. Main courses sea food risotto fantastic katso chicken, sea bass fillets portions were large great value. Dogs allowed inside which is great. Great staff. Definetly recommended.

The organisation of our funeral reception was meticulously and thoughtfully planned by Jess, who was a great help at this time. Communications were exemplary and the quality and quantity of food superb. Truly a professional experience which is very much appreciated by all. Thank you. Stephen Fell

Had the original pork parmo ,fries,and salad.there was plenty of fries, I could only manage half the parmo so got to bring the rest home..the salad was a let down, beetroot leaves do not count as salad to me..onion and cucumber was tasty though and the bit of tomatoes was dry..my companion had the hot parmo etc..not as hot as he would have liked but he cleared his plate except for said salad leaves.overall a nice place to call in for lunch..not crowded .clean and tidy.

My wife, son and I visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of choice from the menu. Traditional pub grub. We were pleased with the food we chose. The portions were generous. The service was great. Would definitely go back.

Had a great lunchtime meal here today celebrating a birthday. 5 of us served really well. I had a steak and onion baguette from the specials menu. Others had fish and chips, mussels and fries, hotshot parmo and Yorkshire wrap. Excellent quality food and lots of it. Really enjoyable lunch. Recommended

This was my first visit here. We had Sunday Lunch which was perfect except for the Yorshire puds which were over cooked. These were quickly replaced but I still think they could have been better

Dropped in here entirely at random, without a reservation, when driving through Stokesley, and was very pleasantly surprised. They did their best to accommodate us, and the atmosphere, service and food were all great. Classic gastro pub fare, but well prepared, and well priced. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area.

Great atmosphere, drinks are priced on high side! But food and service was good! I can recommend the Hot Shot Parmo! 🔥

This spot never fails to disappointment me. Last night blow my mind. We have used The Mill for years taking groups of students with SEN to help socialise in our ever demanding society. Last night staff and students from Laurence Jackson School had a fabulous meal beautiful presented clean plates all around severed by the most amazing staff,who interacted brilliantly with our students. Highly recommended can't wait for our next visit. A huge thank you for your support.

This place is very over priced for what you get , the garlic bread was literally oil. Never again.

Sunday lunch is lovely. Nut cutlet for me and roast beef for my boyfriend, served with a good selection of veg. Loads of staff so the service is really good. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch ordered roast pork got a chop broccoli stems to hard green beans to hard mash to watery 1/2 whole carrot wife said cauliflower cheese and red cabbage not nice

Had a fantastic meal at the mill today. the food was amazing service was outstanding from start to finish. Very accommodating with the food I asked cheese burger nachos but wanted the teeside resturant week menu (it was only on the main menu) they said no problem gave me the option for a smaller portion of it as its quite large and it still be the set price or pay the difference for a full portion. Food was fantastic we all had a mix of food and everyone loved it. Our 2 year old had fish fingers off the kids menu and a very good potion came out he loved it and got a 3 scoop Ice cream in with the price. Again that went down a treat. The waiter who I wish I got the name for was outstanding seemed to love his job, extremely warm and friendly. Very good with our 2 year old who had a little tantrum and wanted his attention every time he saw him. Made the visit there feel family oriented and friendly Overall amazing we will be coming back again very soon after that meal

What an absolute place to go, has to be a 10/10, the food was absolutely amazing, service top notch and choice of drinks fantastic. Probably the best Parmio(Fungi) I have ever tasted…

We were in the restaurant on 19/1/24 had an excellent meal and service. We returned taking friends on 23/1/24, to a very different experience I requested an easy access table as we had a disabled gentleman with us, none was given despite tables on the first level being available we were taken down to the lower level. We ordered and our meals did not come out together and 1 main course was decidedly very poor no comparison to the previous week half the size and over cooked so the sea bass was very dry and hard. The service was very slow when asked if our table could be cleared and dessert served we were asked if we wanted to order dessert which had already been ordered. We complained but no interest was shown other tha a sorry from the waitress who cleared the table. When settling the bill that member of staff was unaware of the issue being made. Disappointed after regular visits on overall experience. Reluctant to to revisit.

Disappointing, overpriced , shop bought French fries, instead of home cooked chips , shop bought scampi . Sausage & mash well over seasoned with black pepper to the point of inedible, when asked was everything ok my feedback was giving and just ignored with no reply , shame as it used to be good , we won’t be back .

Not a good pub. Over priced average beer. The staff change very often. Populated by offshore workers and police. No atmosphere at all.

We called in a party of 7, staff tried upmost to accommodate us and did get us in. The food was lush, well priced and good service Will go back The kids faces when Santa wondered in, priceless

Absolutely gorgeous, staff, food and atmosphere. I visited with my husband and 8 year old son today for lunch. My little one was over the moon to have an impromptu visit of Santa. The Mill, thank you! You went above and beyond!

Great little place. Nipped in for a snack but ended up having "The Pablo" burger which was an absolute beast, but really well presented and tasted great. Staff were friendly and thoughtful, often giving us updates to say when they'd be taking our orders, or when drinks and food would be ready. Will definitely come back, despite the trek to get there.

Faultless. No hesitation recommending this cosy place. Service was excellent all round, everyone was friendly and helpful. 6 of us had 4 different dishes - all were lovely. Food was fresh and piping hot. Generous portions too. The chunky chips were yummy. Loved the decor, was cosy. Very happy with our visit and will definitely return.

I came to the mill with high hopes but I was wrong! I order a parmo but it took 30 minutes to come! When it did I found a hair in it! NOT HAPPY 1 star.

An absolutely outstanding place to visit for a meal, or a drink. Traditional menu with freshly prepared food with an exceptional choice to choose from at very reasonable prices. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The atmosphere was delightful, and the interior was pleasant and pleasing to the eyes. 10/10

Best fish and chips ever. The batter golden just melts in your mouth so light with a lovely taste. Chips had the best flavour ever. Good shape. My perfect chip. Mushy peas perfect. Son had parmo wasn't up to scratch. Very disappointed.

Came with our two young children, food was very beautiful and came quickly, the atmosphere was relaxed yet the staff had a very polite and professional service. Would highly recommend and we plan coming back.

Good value with restaurant week ( which i didnt know about until we got there)....until the food arrives. An excellent starter, followed by an average main but then a very poor dessert. Been going to the Mill for a number of years ( including Xmas eve) but sadly won't be going back for a while.

Food was lovely, partner has several allergies and they couldn't have been more helpful in adjusting things to suit her requirements.

Hot shot parmo needs some heat, maybe mix in some tobasco and garlic mayo to the beshimel sauce to add some heat, or mix in a red chilli, as I felt no heat in this one 😋 However it was good nonetheless

Although the food was nice, they used to do a apple and raspberry crumble and it was gorgeous but unfortunately i was told they don't do that. not sure if they are new owners since my previous visit but it didn't have the same atmosphere as before. I will visit again in the future at some point and see what it's like.

The meal was absolutely faultless! We ordered the roast rump Sunday lunch as we were hungry but in a bit of a rush. We hadn’t booked but were accommodated immediately. The rump was hot, pink, and lots of it, served with mashed potatoes and roast, stunning cauliflower cheese, roasted carrots, broccoli, green beans, peas, mange tout and red cabbage! Wow! I have never been served 8 vegetables before. Gravy was lovely and service was prompt all for £18 pp. The manageress in charge was an absolute perfect fit. Organised, helpful and constantly smiling. The best Sunday lunch I have ever had! And I am a retired chef from York, this place is worth a visit!

I was rather disappointed with the food. Had a lasagna that I would have been disappointed with if I got it for £4 from the work canteen, especially as I paid £15 at a gastro pub. Left and went elsewhere for dessert

We went for Sunday lunch yesterday phoned up at 5 mins notice for a table the girl who took our booking was extremely bright and friendly. We ordered our meals the Beef rump and veg etc. it came without 5 minutes. Piping hot 7 veg’ Yorkshire puddings roast and mashed pity. And enormous amount of tender delicious meat and lashings of tasty gravy, It was the best Sunday lunch that we have had for years. The staff were very efficient and friendly. I would recommend this pub to anyone. I have been before for lunch and an evening meal and it never disappoints.

Called on the off chance as our 1st choice of venue was closed, after a day out in Whitby we were all very hungry. The staff at the mill were brilliant, after a short wait they found us a table. Delicious food, we were stuffed, despite having an earlier disappointment we were glad, we couldn't have chosen better.

Staff are fantastic with my children! It makes it so much easier as a family having staff who are so attentive towards our children, they even managed to get my girls to eat all their dinner! Our food was fantastic, hanging kebab was amazing!!! It’s our once a month treat out and we always make sure it’s at the mill!

Great lunch out with friends. Place was really busy and the girls who served us were really attentive, not to pushy they were there when we needed assistance. Food was good, £10 for lunch time lasagne, which was really tasty! Definitely will return!

The service was great much improved on last time but why is there no reasonably priced lunch menu? Only a few sandwiches to choose from on ciabatta bread, no jacket potatoes and not much to choose from. Its also very expensive. Stokesley needs a place where you can just go snd get a nice sandwich that isn't trying to be "posh" and a reasonably priced lunch menu. £16 for a plain chicken salad ( did not want caesar salad so they did me a plain one) but £16. These prices are not affordable for a family of 4 trying to get lunch out. Needs a better affordable lunch menu. My child wasn't given their ice cream with their kids meal either. Don't think will be back sorry too expensive

Nice place and friendly staff, food was disappointing a lot of frozen dishes thrown in along side home cooked dishes, the scampi was just frozen shop bought and over cooked, the chips and onion rings very greasy, the Parmo was tasteless and slightly chewy, out of a large number of us dinning no one was impressed, very average for pub grub, this was from the evening menu. Wouldn’t go back.

Ordered for 10 people the response from everyone after the meal was disappointing, frozen chips and scampi just shop bought in and fried to a crisp almost broke a tooth, onion rings and chunky chips was way to greasy, from what we ordered from the dinner menu from burgers to Parmos to fish dishes we were all disappointed with the quality.

Decent food for decent money. The parmo is pretty tasty, hot shot 👌 Nice venue, toilets good, small car park, the place is always busy, near the right end of the High Street. Good staff too.

Great service and delicious food

We rang on the off chance there was a table and thankfully the team were able to accommodate a late table for two. The packed car park gave an indication that we were in for a treat and it did not disappoint . The chicken and beef roast dinner was stunning and a more than generous portion size, with duck fat roast potatoes, mixed greens, roast carrot, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. Glad we didn't get the starters in hindsight! The customer service was also top notch and we will definitely be back with the rest of the family in due course.

Gorgeous food and setting! Monèt was lovely and efficient. Good parmo! Can just get a little warm inside at times. But other than that, fab evening x
