Lovely little coffee shop, nice peaceful atmosphere, dog friendly which is perfect if your like us and randomly nipped out on a Saturday morning for a walk and a coffee and quick bite to eat. The food we got was lovely and the coffee washed it down a treat. The staff were friendly and polite and weren’t pestering you, just brought the order to you and let you enjoy it. Really nice atmosphere and the cafe itself is really well set out. Would certainly recommend as a place to pop in and enjoy a coffee if calling through!

Double espresso with hot water underneath made with zero creama poor effort, despite asking if they knew what I wanted. Definitely not made today by a proper barista.

Excellent coffee & cakes and the friendliest of staff! Whether staying in it taking out, it's always a pleasure to visit Milk & Grind. It's become our go-to coffee haunt when visiting!

Visited here last weekend. Lovely place for a coffee and some food. Opted for the panini with a flat white coffee and partner had a latte with her panini. Coffee was nice & strong how I like it. Premises were nice and staff were outstanding and made us feel very welcome.

We come here regularly - clean, good coffee, staff are excellent and go out of their way to help, dog friendly, friendly people, great atmosphere........ what more could you ask for!

Had my dog with me and was quite happy to sit and chill and talk to other customers. The staff were lovely and when one of the ladies came over to take away my cup I said I felt a little guilty as I hadn’t bought anything else. She went and brought me a glass of water to “use as a prop” and said stay as long as you like!! Defo going again hopefully this Friday !

Popped in early on Sunday morning for a coffee and a bite to eat. THE best coffee I’ve had for a long time. Friendly, helpful lady behind the counter and delicious cheese scone.

Great little cafe in the heart of Stokesley. Nice selection of snacks, coffee and cakes. The member of staff who served was somewhat abrupt boarding on simply rude - not the best way to encourage customers to return.

The owners allow off leash dogs to wander around the cafe rather than acknowledging the other paying customers find this a problem. This is not a “customer friendly “ approach. It is not acceptable. I will not return nor recommend.

A welcome cool in 28 ⁰C heat...which coupled with lovely friendly service was just what we needed. Great coffee (iced or hot), and a fresh Bakewell slice set up perfectly for the rest of the day.

Excellent service and food whenever we've been in, would recommend it to anyone in the area. One of the nicest hot chocolates I've had in a while!

Clean. Lovely ladies serving and the tea/coffee and cakes were delicious. I had caramel cake, bakewell tart my husband had a buttered teacake plus some brownie bites. We will definitely be back.

Walked to Stokesley, tried the truffed hog, however their reserved tables do not have signs on, so you sit down to be told its reserved. Not good customer service.and easily fixed. Completely different reception at milk and grind, 5 star for service.

Have been quite a few times and have always enjoyed the warm welcome from the friendly staff. Coffee is very good and hot chocolate is delicious. They have a good selection of cakes, scones etc, and do hot and cold sandwiches. They also have some really comfortable seating and are very dog friendly.

Have been three times for coffee and scone. Excellent coffee, lovely atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. First time the scone was delicious. Second time they offered to warm the scone and I said no and asked are they fresh today. An honest answer was given, “no , they came in yesterday “ so I politely declined it. Third visit, without asking the scone was split and toasted and brought to us! I returned to the counter questioning it. I was brought an ordinary scone. Sadly it was far from fresh…very firm and dry.(possibly why they had toasted it?) Such a shame as it is a lovely place to go. To be fair they offered a refund for the scone when I expressed disappointment but it has most definitely put me off going.
