Absolutely incredible Wedding and Events venue. This historic house has all the Georgian charm you'd expect but with a twist. A pink bar with ostrich feather style chandeliers, massive gold glitter ball, the staircase is just WOW, and the wedding suite is pure luxury. Even the entrance to the gents toilets is something to behold, whilst the ladies has a secret Prosecco tap squirrelled away in a cabinet for your girlies to enjoy as they powder their nose! The stately Vinery has more chandeliers than you can imagine, finished off with a giant golden disco ball, state of the art lighting system and views across the rolling hills of north yorkshire. Outside is a beautiful terrace with a variety of seating and a giant chess set, along with festoon lighting. It really is something out of this world!

The 10th of August this year was a very special day for John & I. At Solberge Hall joined by our families we officially became Mr & Mrs Hardy. Words aren’t enough for us to express our thanks and appreciation to each and every member of staff. They absolutely went out of their way to advise, help and support us in the planning of our perfect day. Thank you. Inside the décor is stunning and for a smaller occasion like ours there are also more intimate rooms which again are beautifully decorated and attention to detail is spot on. We hired overnight accommodation for ourselves and our guests (including some young children) and all requirements were catered for with no problem. The food we had ordered was fabulous - from the pre-ceremony canapes to the three-course wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. Due regard was given to any guests who had food allergies or required vegetarian options. The breakfast buffet the following morning certainly didn’t disappoint either!! We were blessed with a lovely day weather wise and the outside space is absolutely perfect for socialising and winding down. The patio area is large with plenty of tables and is accessed directly from the bar – perfect!! Thank you so much to the owner and staff for helping to make our day so special. We would have no hesitation in recommending Solberge Hall to anyone looking for a lovely place at which to host any special event they may be planning. We had a wonderful weekend and certainly felt we were receiving the “Red Carpet” treatment.

We visited following the extensive renovations and this place is looking fantastic. Well thought out, interesting and aesthetically pleasing. A far cry from the drab, lacklustre hotel it once was. It has a new lease of life now as an events venue. Hope to visit again soon.

Incredible venue! Mind blowingly creative and luxurious. From the pink Garden Room bar, to the wonderful Vinery, to the wild Drawing Room, this is a wedding and events venue like no other. Book it now! If you don't want a generic wedding and you want something your guests will talk about for years to come, Solberge Hall is it. Amazing places for Instagram fans to hang out, incredible cocktails, and amazing staff with great attention to detail. Outside is gorgeous too including the floral canopy as you enter through the grand pillars, and the immense patio which overlooks rolling countryside. You can even get married outside under the arbour or in the woodland. It's wild, it's wonderful, it's like the Annabel's of the North! Can't wait to photograph real weddings at this place. It's immense! Love it!

I came to draw "en plein air" in the grounds. I was commissioned to sketch the Woodland Walk for an event. Lovely welcome, beautiful grounds and a peek into the wedding venue showed how beautiful this place is for your most romantic day. I'd love to return in the height of summer when everything is in full bloom or in April for those first bursts of springtime. An excellent venue for private exclusive hire! You know you are somewhere special as soon as the magnificently crafted gates open for you.

June 2024 update: looked to stay again but it appears to now be a wedding and events venue only, not a normal hotel that you can book a room for a leisure break at. I contacted the hotel and they have confirmed that this is the case, they are under new ownership. Lovely hotel, fantastic rooms and great location. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no chef at the start of the week so a cooked breakfast and dinner are not available on Sunday to Tuesday. There are local alternative places to eat and northallerton isn't far. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed over for a night and was surprised by how quaint and beautiful the building is. Georgian(?) vibe and the double bed was firm. Pretty big toilets! Was served a lovely hot English vege breakfast :) a 10-ish minute cab away from the station

Slightly run down in decor, Ripped wallpaper and curtains) but this is more than made up for by the staff and the welcome they provide. Food is very good and they recognise that a dog is part of the family and all of them treat it as such. The woods outside provide a convenient and pleasant walking space. Dogs are allowed in all but one location. Great hotel and thoroughly recommended.

We frequently stay at the Solberge when in the area and have our work Christmas parties here. Every visit is wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and the food fantastic, but the stand-out is the staff - this is the best hotel for their staff helpfulness, nothing is too much to ask and their help organising events is brilliant. Every person you meet weather a part time waitress or manager are so happy to help. Thanks to the wonderful team for always being so fab!

I went as part of a group occasion. The place itself was lovely and had a lovely setting. The food was slightly disappointing. The people in the party who had beef said it was nearly raw and they were unable to cut it or chew it. Gravy and horseradish sauce were brought out when the meal was almost finished. The kale was inedible, the vegetables on the plate very sparse.

Taste of India is right up there with the best Indian cuisine I've tasted. Chicken Jalfrezi is my staple and this one was superb.
