Yan's Place in Hambleton

We're staying in Tholthope and fancied Chinese on a Sunday night. The food was delicious, made spicier than normal for us and was steaming hot after a 5 mile journey back to our holiday cottage. We'll definitely be putting a recommendation in the guest book for you. Thank you, best Chinese we had in ages!

On holiday in the area and was recommended this chinese. Absolutely wonderful, the food is so good. Would recommend the special chow mein, and special fried rice. Everything tasted amazing. Will definitely come back.

Just got a takeaway from here and it was fantastic. Great quality food and quite traditional Chinese food. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

Not great - quite a low quality of food but understandable given the lack of nearby competition. The chips were frozen but had been reheated numerous times to give them a cardboard texture. Main meal (Cantonese) was overpowered by spice, which was hiding an otherwise mundane Chinese dish. Won’t be going again

Phoned order in for collection. Food was ready on time. Portion sizes were good. Chicken in OK sauce was nice and the Crispy prawns in Popo sauce. The chips let the meal down overcooked frozen chips.

The food was nice and had good flavour. Its just one of many in the local area but I most probably would use again in the future. High Street parking outside the premises.

The food was quite flavourful but the chicken rubbery and there was very little “sauce” in either main dish we ordered so if you’re having rice or chips bear this in mind. All things considered we won’t be returning. It was an expensive takeaway compared with others and takes only cash. The latter is very unusual these days!

Chicken in our curry and chicken balls were stone cold and our order was wrong. Rang up to be spoken to rudely and the young lads working on phones were so disrespectful. Very disappointing. They refused to put order right and put phone down

Lovely good best special fried rice I've ever eaten. Quantity load and everything ordered was delicious.

They don't seen ti cope well at busy times.

Great menu selection, good size portions and quick service. Either phone ahead to order then collect or order inside with a short wait. Covid restrictions in place so single customer at a time.

Staying in the Easingwold area for a few days and fancied a takeaway. Heard good things about Yans from the reviews. It wasn’t too bad but wasn’t absolutely amazing either. A decent takeaway overall.

Great food hot and tasty... were new to this having only just found it..... we'll be back....

Just had a Chinese from yans. Cooked fresh. Piping hot. Lovely. All of us loved it. The salt and pepper ribs were lovely.
