Chapters Deli Bistro & Wine Bar in Hambleton

Passing through Stokesley to visit family in Thornaby and needed a stop. Very nice food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Stokesley hasn’t changed a lot since I was last up north before Covid. Still a very nice place like the Chspter Deli.

We're regular visitors to Chapter's Bar and always enjoy our meals. It's got just the right atmosphere most of the time although it's sometimes excessively noisy if large groups are in. The only negative I have really is the state of the seats. The material is dirty, stained and tatty looking. Think the chairs need a bit of a refurb...

Always love coming to the Deli. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. There’s a great gin selection and a lovely evening vibe for a drink. They will also veganise any of the veggie meals off the menu. Cosy dining seating and lovely decor.

This has become one of my favourite places over the last 3 years and I've enjoyed breakfast, lunch, tea, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The food is always lovely especially the Pizzas and parmos and the staff are fabulous I can always have a laugh with them especially Dylan and Chloe however Evie, Jordan, Lorna, McKenna and Millie are also great!

I visited here with friends and just came across it whilst shopping in Stokesley. We went at tea time and this place does a tea time special deal £14.95 for two courses. We decided to do this and I ordered veggie enchiladas. It was huge and came with sweet potato fries. It was all very tasty and well worth the money. The young waiter we had wasn’t that great. First he brought a coffee with coco on the top, when it was specifically requested without. Then mushy peas were orders with the scampi meal and garden peas were brought instead. He also didn’t have much knowledge of whether things were vegetarian or not. And also had to go ask what the cheesecake flavour was. I ordered cheesecake which I was told was peach flavour. It was actually just vanilla cheesecake with a slice of peach on top…not really peach cheesecake. But despite this we loved our food and it was reasonably priced, so I’d visit again.

Just had a lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary, here in Chapters . Food and drinks served promptly, service both friendly and efficient . My steak was cooked to perfection. Always a really visit here. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and make you very welcome. We have only done breakfasts and been through the menu but no problem it’s always good fayre. I have heard many times that food generally through the day is great and always good value. Bang in the middle of Stokesley next to Police station. Don’t drink and drive!

My first visit into Stokesley and Chapter's Deli. O M G Eggs Benedict with Salmon and 1 cheeky sausage, outstanding.. Best I've ever had, soooo tasty. The staff are lovely, friendly, the whole setting and absolute gem, loved it. We wanted a late lunch and this seemed to fit the bill. First impressions were good we were greeted and seated by polite staff. We had pre booked food and didn't have to wait long to be served. We all had a roast lunch but we could see immediately the roast potatoes were cremated, I'm not convinced it was the first time they had seen dining area. They were completely in edible. The meat was good but there was a strange mix of rocket and gravy to accompany meat. I really expected the waiter to comment on the uneaten potatoes, but nothing. A real pity. We won't be going back.

Exceptional place with exceptional service. Our waitress was amazing she couldn’t do enough for us. Millie was amazing The food was incredible just too much and I hated leaving the food as it’s delicious. The atmosphere is amazing too ! I guess you could say I love this place.

Called into Chapters Delhi for a quick meal this evening. Despite waiting longer than was acceptable for our food the front of house staff, 2 lovely young ladies, were absolutely lovely and so professional. Despite the wait the food was lovely, especially the nachos 😋. Will still visit again xx

A regular for us when we need a really tasty breakfast. You will always get a warm and friendly greeting here as the team are very courteous make you feel at home. Super breakfast menu with plenty on the plate no skimping and extras are very reasonable also. Great for couples or families.

Chapters has a lovely area away from the bar . We had assumed when we walked into the area that is was reserved for diners only . How wrong we were . Within 30 minutes a long table was constructed next to our table which was later filled up with 20 odd shrieking young women enjoying the night out with drinks . Our conversation was killed stone dead and our ‘date night’ also. We were offered a move to another table halfway through our meal which wouldn’t have made the slightest difference to the noise level. Needless to say we forfeited our dessert coffee etc and left very dissatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience

Have to agree with Suziee69 on this one. I have noticed recently that the food quality/quantity has very much declined from what was a superb place to ear/drink.The excuse they made to her was short staffed ? Not sure how being short staffed makes quantity any different. Shame that others have notice also

Me and my partner went on a double date here and we were all pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and polite the girl was. We think her name was Chloe. She went above and beyond serving cocktails and being very friendly. We will definitely be back.

As regulars to this nice place, we have noticed a sharp decline in the food,noticebly smaller portions and an increase in price, whilst we understand that this is the general "norm" of late, I would have though that you could do much better, all 3 of us had a small breakfast, and the 1 slice of bacon was extremely small and very hard. Need to improve back to how it used to be is my suggestion in quality.

We called in for a late breakfast as we were on our way home from Goth weekend at Whitby and we had read the Local Gazette’s article about the place. Lady D had her usual favourite breakfast which is avocado on toast with an egg, however, here it is Smashed Avocado & poached egg served with tomatoes and a roasted pepper coulis. It was excellent and very filling. I had the SMALL All Day Breakfast, my god! If that’s small I cannot imagine how big the Large is! It was extremely good and I must add that not only was it cooked to my liking the sausage and bacon were wonderfully tasty and along with the egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans the whole breakfast was worth every penny. We enjoyed the food and the whole experience so much we are going to go back to try the Sunday dinner, but not after this breakfast! We will have to wait a week or so. The coffees were good as well. We recently moved to the area and we have already been to chapters four times. Great service, lovely food and Derek remembered what we had last time. He was very friendly and chatty. Chapters is fast becoming our favourite local.

We have been staying in Stocksley for a break and seem to find ourselves here nearly every day. The food is good and they do an excellent Henderson and tonic.
