The best restaurants in Aire Valley with Lothersdale Craven Yorkshire and The Humber

It's a shame, but our well loved local Chinese Takeaway has closed for business. Johnny and his wife have retired. We now await to see if it will reopen in another guise.

Visited on Sunday May 4th, my 65th birthday with my partner and some of her family. The place was new to me but had been recommended by several people. The setting was really nice in a lovely picturesque village I’d only ever passed through before. On entering it reminded me of several village pub/ restaurants I’d been in before which gave me a calm and satisfying feeling. The menu , along with the specials was plentiful, I choose the Nosh Pot, which was a tasteful slow cooked beef and veg with a cheesy mash topping, different , very good. Other dishes we had included the 16oz gammon, and the Sunday roast beef, all were enjoyed , plentiful and tasty. Of the sweets , fudge sundae was tasted by all and went down well, the spotted dick was a little different to my expectations and too dry for me and a little disappointing. The two children had the fish and chips which they quickly put away followed by brownie with ice cream which also disappeared quickly. The staff were extremely friendly particularly good with the children all in all it was a very enjoyable meal and a return visit will be forthcoming.

We haven’t been here in a few years.. so thought we try it again.. Birthday meal out for 5 .. not overly busy for a Saturday night .. reasonable choice on menu.. food was very nice came piping hot .. But what stood out the most was the young waiter called derrick .. he was absolutely fantastic.. nothing was too much trouble.. and the attention to detail was 110% .. 👌👌 .. Definitely worth a visit 👍👍

Popped in for a quick drink on Sunday afternoon and loved the relaxed atmosphere. Having seen the menu (and the amazing food being served) we stayed for an impromptu Sunday roast. We shared a delicious scallops starter followed by Roast Beef and Roast Turkey meals which were very tasty and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and efficient throughout and we will definitely return. Well worth a visit!

Another trip to Cononley and a few visits to the Railway Inn. They’ve certainly upped their game over our last 2 or 3 visits and we had a few good nights in the beer garden. Really friendly staff, good service and prices which are very reasonable. The nachos with sour cream are to die for.

Brilliant staff. Great for a game of pool or Darts. Very nice relaxing area thrpugh back with working fireplace for the cold weather.

We have had a wonderful tea here tonight.We had 2 large fish which was absolutly huge! A prawn salad that was huge! Kids fish bites all with sides.The fish was cooked to perfection!! All our plates were cleared.Service was fantastic, lovely what seemed to be a new member of staff who really was very nice.Very well priced worth every penny. We would highley recommend eating here Thankyou

Visited this lovely pub twice during our week's holiday and really enjoyed the food and the great atmosphere. The hosts were really friendly and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
