It's a shame, but our well loved local Chinese Takeaway has closed for business. Johnny and his wife have retired. We now await to see if it will reopen in another guise.

Can't fault this place - lovely owners, lots of choice, satisfying meals and very handy in the village.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we ventured over hill and dale along single track roads from our holiday cottage to this tiny takeaway. A friendly welcome, a great choice of food and very good value. 25 minutes wait time was passed in the pub and we returned to collect piping hot food which stayed at a good temperature for the 15 minute journey back. The food was outstanding, better than either of us could recall having in big city Chinese restaurants. Mixed starter £7.50 for two, ribs especially good, meat really tender. Tofu in blackbean delicious, vegetables sweet and crisp, shredded beef not too hard or soggy, lovely flavour. Highly recommended!!!

OMG!! Who would think in a tiny little village you would have a Chinese, there’s 2 pubs a railway station and a campsite , and the food is lush , highly recommend it. Ideal when your camping 😁👍🏻

We enjoyed our Chinese takeaway from the Oriental May. The food was all cooked fresh to order and was reasonably priced.

Fantastic to watch the food being cooked! We first ventured here from our home town of Skipton, last August, having read the reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. They were extremely busy on a Bank Holiday weekend, ad yes, there was some delay with our order being ready, but the taste of all the food we had ordered, was SO good, that we have returned a few times since, tonight being a further order! The food is hot & delicious. I can't recommend highly enough, and well worth going to this village for authentic cuisine. Portions are very generous. I'm so pleased we have discovered them, and also that we can support this talented family.

We ordered meals from this takeaway this weekend for 6 adults and we all agreed that the food was spot on fresh and hot we would recommend this takeaway too others no problem 😊

Had a take out whilst staying at a nearby lodge. We could even order and wait in the pub opposite as it's so close. It's a hidden gem as the village is really quiete. Food was so fresh and tasty. Probably the best Chinese if ever had

We were camping in the village for a few nights and were advised by a fellow camper about how good this place was and my goodness he was right. Excellent Chinese food, freshly cooked to order and very fairly priced. The husband and wife team running the place work incredibly hard and were very busy. Loved the food here. Absolutely brilliant.

The food is prepared in front of you, and is the closest I've had to real Chinese food. The husband and wife team are warm friendly, it is set up for take away only The meals are very good and the portions are generous, and the is out of this world

We ordered from this take-away when staying at the Throstle Nest B&B about a mile out of the village. Lovely food.

Gorgeous food, well priced and with the added bonus of being able to wait for the food in the New Inn opposite. Owners are Malaysian but most dishes are Chinese.

Really enjoyed our take away last weekend whilst caravanning nearby. Surprised how this the takeaway is, so ordered our food and went across the road for a beer in the pub whilst the food cooked. The orders were being prepared in full view which I thought was unusual but encouraging. The outlet had a 4star hygiene rating!

Lovely freshly made food you can watch them make it . Very generous portions and piping hot .Very friendly and they made me review a slightly negative opinion of take away food it was excellent

First class Chinese and other Oriental dishes produced in a small but perfectly formed kitchen. The Menu is extensive, to say the least, with dishes from across East Asia. We had the best takeaway Sechzuan (SP?) Beef and Chicken Chow Main anywhere! You need order in advance, but it's well worth the short wait ... and with a lovely pub just over the road, it's easy to work up an appetite! Highly recommended!

I have lived here for a few years and have never been in this place until recently, thinking that a village takeaway couldn't be very good. Wrong! The food is amazing and the prices are really good. Will be here every week from now on!

This is a cracking little Chinese takeaway - you certainly don't expect something this good in a little village like Cononley. Food is excellent (never had a bad dish) and the owners are super friendly and helpful. And as an additional bonus there's even a top little pub over the road (the New Inn) to have a quick pint in whilst the food is prepared....

Excellent freshly prepared food. Really clean and quick service. The owner even prepared a special mushroom vegetarian dish. Recommended.

We ate here the other day and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, and not full of additives. It was reasonabley priced and I would recommend it.
