Food, service and atmosphere all positively pawsome! Would recommend to all human and their furry friends.

My son and I stumbled upon this caféfeeling tired and hungry after our house move. I was amazed by the cheerful and interesting new owners and the lovely decor. It was immaculate and yet extremely homely. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast which Jamie Oliver would have been proud of. Beautiful. The self effacing new owners were so obviously master cooks and artists as well. I can't wait to go back. Cafés can often be over priced, complacent and a bit tired. Not this one. I would highly recommend a visit to lift the spirits and experience beautiful food.

Was passing thought would give them a go first time,had chip teacake was fresh and great tasting chips will be calling in today for something not sure,but will try something different

Can’t recommend highly enough. Amazing cheese, always a great variety that changes on a regular basis. Always a lovely selection of wine at very reasonable prices. Love that there’s so much local produce. I won’t go anywhere else to buy cheese. I literally drive from Manchester to stock up. A beautiful, cosy shop with a lovely owner who is super helpful and knows her stuff!

English Breakfast, Burgers, Sandwiches, Toasties, other Hot Meals. this cafe has the lot. Quick service and great food and very reasonable prices. Sit by the market and watch the world go by . What more could you ask for?

We have been kicked out before our pudding and coffee as we took 1h15 before dessert. To avoid if you want to enjoy your time

Fantastic Boxing day meal. The staff made us feel welcome (all 10 of us) as soon as we entered the building. Pool table & the darts board was a bonus. Our table was set out lovely, very festive looking. The food ... from the starters & onwards, was excellent quality. portion sizes were big & very tasty. Nothing was left on our plates. No complaints about any of the food. All proper home cooked food. Nice thick gravy. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you to the very efficient, friendly staff 😊

I would say that as the father of the bride, but it was. Exactly what was required. Relaxed friendly get together for 40 family and friends with the whole place just for us. Drinks on arrival and amazing canapés, then the most wonderful 3 course meal downstairs. Nothing rushed, no hassle, just superb food. Nothing was too much trouble for Janet and her wonderful staff and chef Simon. We had all chosen before hand from 4 choices for each course. Drinks kept flowing upstairs then back down and the restaurant was a disco for the evening. Thank you all for just the best ever day.

My family and I came for lunch on Christmas Day. This was our first visit to The Copper Cow and we will most certainly be back. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The canapés on arrival were absolutely exquisite and the 3 course meal delicious and faultless. We all had a wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for any more. Thank you so much to all the staff for the amazing service, food and drinks. Highly, highly recommend.

I ordered two zinger burger meals Chips was nice and fresh Burger was very hard looks like been in warmer for a long time very disgrace.

An actual, proper, friendly local. Love this place. Not because it's awesome or game changing. But because it's old school and genuine. We bring the dog, and the kids. They love it. Super friendly and genuine. The food is great, pub grub before the gastropub was a thing. Burger night, pie night, fish supper night. Priced right (and I'm a tight northerner) Kids meals are home made. Lad (5) got the chicken goujons. They are proper chicken breast strips dipped in egg,breadcrumbs and fried. Waiter (barman? he did it all very well) said "yeah, we make everything" Low key. Heartwarming. Lovely.
