I’ve been visiting mustard for a while now and I have to say that I feel so LUCKY to live so close. Everything I have ever had from there has been exceptional! The chef can take something like a fondant fancy and elevate it to the culinary stratosphere. I have to say that a few times I week I take home some soup and it’s delicious. The flavour combinations simply sing. It takes real skill and talent to make food this lovely day in and out. Scotch eggs, pastries, sausage rolls and heavenly cakes, these sound simple fayre but try these as they’ll be some of the best around. I’ve eaten in some fabulous restaurants and this food is some of my favourite. Keep up the amazing work xx

Mustard had been recommended to me by a colleague and as I live a long way away, I have not been able to justify driving over for brunch or one of the tasting menus. However, as circumstances meant I came to work with no breakfast or lunch today, it came me the perfect excuse to pop in to buy some food to take away. The Mustard beef sandwich on ciabatta was excellent - enough for 2 people - and the leek soup was just what I needed on a cold damp day in Halifax; it had a real depth of flavour. I have yet to try the scotch eggs and the lasagnes but I am looking forward to them.

5* dining at an unbelievable price We visited mustard in its early days, and we’re delighted to revisit when it opened as a deli with a tasting menu. We have visited for two evenings so far, including the 12 days of Christmas one. The food is simply outstanding and unbeatable value, we loved every course at both evenings, everything was delicious and it was great to try some of the more adventurous things we might not normally order At the 12 days of Christmas we took our 11 year old, the team were so accommodating allowing her to choose a selection as a children’s version though to be honest she ended up trying everything, and loving it. The quality of food is absolutely amazing, and I doubt you’ll find a better value tasting menu - we were absolutely stuffed at both and would wholly recommend a visit to this amazing little place.

The most amazing beef wellington with all the sides and a cheese hamper. Thank you so much! Highly recommend! Everything was absolutely perfect. Timings for the wellington were spot on and the sides were amazing!

Found this fantastic little place on the main road through Sowerby Bridge and so glad I did! Like many other small shops along this road, it's easy to walk past without noticing it's there, but for those who do find it and visit, the food is top quality. I had a beef and caramelised onion chutney panini (can't remember the proper name) and it was super tasty - and no plastic beef in sight! This was proper, fresh sliced beef. On the side there was a good sized serving of fresh salad and crisps (not the cheap variety - possibly home made?) so my plate was full - great value. The coffee was excellent - they didn't have decaf ground though, but the guy was kind enough to let me know that (some places don't and still charge full whack for a cup of instant!) so I decided to take the caffeine hit today. This place is also dog friendly, so no problem bringing your four legged friend with you 🙂 There's also a great cheese counter here, as well as selling fresh bakery items both sweet and savoury, so plenty of good reasons to visit. Definitely worth checking it out - it's just past B&M on the right heading Ripponden direction - don't miss it!

Dropped into Mustard today during a short visit to Sowerby bridge. We're really glad we did. The coffee was great as were the snacks we had and we weren't charged an arm and a leg as can sometimes happen. The guy running the place was very friendly and talked a little about his business. It's quite new and a one man band at the moment. The place is dog friendly and I was happy to support the business. We'll be back.

Lovely deli with lots of choice! We used to visit when I was a sit in restaurant and loved it so we jumped at the chance to order the Valentine’s Day box. Lovely fresh ingredients, easy cooking instructions and really well thought out - it resulted in a lovely delicious meal. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the box and a lot of time into prepping the meal. We will definitely look out for more boxes in future. It was a perfect treat. Whilst I was picking up the box I grabbed a few bits for lunch - good selection of wraps and a sausage roll to die for. I also grabbed some cheese whilst I was there and there were plenty of cheeses so choose from, all seeming to be good quality. A lovely gem in sowerby bridge and we will definitely be back!

Awful. Limited food choice and what there was, was not great. A small piece of raspberry cake thing - rock hard and inedible. Not much choice and smallest cappuccino ever. Decided to take out cheeses from the deli bit in the hope this was better - all cut with same knife despite one being a soft cheese, micropore tape in the wrist of the man serving and no gloves worn at all throughout while ordering if food and cheese cutting. Will not be going back!

I'd heard good things about this restaurant - turns out they were all true. The food was inventive and absolutely delicious (we chose the pigs cheek starter, stone bass en paupiette main and the Guinness sticky toffee pudding and nettle cuajada desserts. Good choice of wines and the service was great. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.

Food was inventive and something totally different. Modern food with a lovely twist, very small intimate setting and doesn’t get the praise it deserves. Could do with some more social media pushes! Will be back 100%. Hidden gem in the area

I have ordered my son a meal from here a few times over the last 7 weeks. Everything has always been very nice, however today it was very poor. The chips smelled of cheap burnt fat and he said they were horrible and the burger was thrown together and slopped with sauce. He left most of it. It wasnt cheap either, alot to pay for cheap poor food.

Over the Bridge is an absolute gem. I had a fantastic night’s sleep, the room was really comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-looked after. Trevor was friendly and charming. Highly recommended!
