The best restaurants in Calder Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

We are there on Monday night. I ordered a kleftiko and my partner ordered a lamb kebab. Neither dish was cooked to order. They arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering and both had clearly been pre-cooked and heated in a microwave as the temperature was uneven in them. The lamb kebab was really tough from being cooked twice. We should have sent them both back but persevered but extremely unhappy with this. Would strongly recommend avoiding.

Really lovely meal & great service. 3 of us had a hot & cold platter for 2 but ordered garlic sauted potatoes garlic bread & nachos. 2 beers 2 glasses of wine €68

I had an outstanding meal. The restaurant was quiet-ish but there was enough going on to create a good atmosphere. I had a very good pizza, a Napoli, with a Rocket and Parmesan salad. I had a beer with that. It was all very very good. I followed that with a lemon sorbet, then un caffè (an espresso) and then rounded everything off with a Limoncello. Service was efficient and nicely friendly. As a single traveller I felt very welcome. That was as good an Italian meal as I’ve ever had. Truly memorable and I’d go back in a flash. Grazie mille!

Gluten-free beer on draught Arbor Mosaic and more in cans in the fridge some abit pricey mind , relaxing atmosphere can imagine it gets abit compact at peak times

Just been today, with my Wife, Sister and Nephew. We had a good time, the food was exceptionally good. My Nephew liked the fish Sea Bass Filet in that case, my Sister had and myself had the Old Gate burger with chips, my Wife had the Guijon Chicken Burger. The Waiter was not pushing ( specifically with the bill ) at all All in all very good

Gone down hill, sadly. Rarely open, no food, no staff, no vibe. Hopefully, it will soon change hands again. Currently, it is seemingly shut down.

Superb breakfast, and superb location for a breakfast. We stayed the night too. Fantastic place to stay too! Excellent base to base a trip on in the area.

Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

What a find. Lovely place, friendly staff and great food. Such a shame I don't live near Hebden Bridge, I would be in here all the time.

I have been visiting every few weeks or so for last several years. Generaly well satisfied, partcularly when the extremely cheery young man has been on duty, (is he still with you ?) However, to day I was served by a somewhat, shall we diplomaticaly say, unwelcoming lady. Note that a smile costs nothing, and might even encourage the leaving of a tip. I will give it one more go, and if no change, then will be trying elsewhere, no shortages of alternatives. Having walked some distance to get to HB, then my appearance was maybe not quite to the mark, who knows.

The staff are rather slow, we waited a while to be served even though we were stood about a metre away from then. However, the food is absolutely to die for.
