We went there for a night for a special occasion because of the wonderful reviews, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. We must have been unlucky the night we went because we had to wait 45 mins for our meal and the vegetarian lasagna was not what I expected it was more like a ratatouille and the chips were soggy and the carrots were over cooked and the broccoli was under cooked. It was a very windy, cold night and there was a draught coming in from the skylight. The room was lovely and clean. There was no music at the beginning of breakfast and it was lovely and peaceful then suddenly music started playing and we wish it hadn't.

We dined here today with my mum (87) and Godfather (91). From the moment we walked in the front of house staff were super polite and extremely professional. The Robin Hood offers a broad range of draught beer, including a very tasty Alcohol Free option. The menu was extensive with a range of specials too. The food took a while to come but that is very obviously because it was fresh made, my personal calibration was the amazing taste in the vegetables that clearly had not been simmering all morning. We all agreed all our choices were truly delicious. One tip - suggest you book!! We were lucky as a table was spare but several tables were already pre booked. We will be back to enjoy the food and admire the views across Hardcastle Craggs.

I have eaten here many times. Mid week you can have 2 mains for £22 and there are around 6 choices . There is an extensive a la carte menu too. I had the fish pie with veg and crusty bread and butter, all of which was delicious, although I prefer my veg cooked for less time. The pub is warm and comfortable, tables can be booked, and diners are not rushed.

Lovely pub near Hebden Bridge. We reserved a table and staff came over to take our drinks order, All the staff were very friendly. We all went for an option on the 2 for £20 menu. It was such good value for money, the portions were huge and the food was lovely. The steak in the steak and ale pie was lovely and tender and the chips were nice and crispy, Even though we were full it was hard to stop eating them. The small fish and chips was a decent size portion too. Well kept beer with a few real ales on offer. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Stopped off on a drive through Yorkshire with my mum. What a great little pub. We only wished we lived nearer and could call more often. Mum had a ham sandwich and I had homemade broccoli & Stilton soup + we shared a bowl of chips. Firstly the ham on the sandwich looked like it had been hand carved and there was plenty of it. My soup was Devine. The bowl of chips was plenty for two to share. Mum commented on the state of the ladies toilets. So I went to check out the gents, all I can say is that the lady's toilets must be next on the list as the men's were like a hotel bathroom, slate tiles and spotless. Hence why I have included a picture. .

A visit by a party of four on the 10th of this month. When the meals arrived it looked like the kitchen had ran out of chips and divided one portion between the four of us. No apologies just embarrassed looks from the waitress, perhaps she hoped we wouldn't notice?Another point - what's with all the monkeys? This is the first monkey themed eatery I have been in, outside of Flamingo Park Zoo. Is it funny or am I missing the point?

Spent one night here on the way to Haworth. Staff were friendly and polite. Real ale served! Room was small but clean and bright with good facilities. Breakfast was also good. It's a bit out of the way for Hebden Bridge but they called a taxi and we were able to go out for drinks and return easily. Recommended.

At short notice we decided to book our family of 12 for a meal at the Robin Hood. The landlord was accommodating and sorted out our needs with ease as if he did this on a regular basis. 5 of us had the beef and as I had read the Trip Advisor of a previous contributor I was interested to see how it was. Nothing like the comments made. Perhaps they were from a competitive pub? Good value for money and excellent service from all involved. We will return and give a little more notice next time!

My wife and I have just come from the Robin Hood Inn having been there for a Sunday Roast dinner. We started with the prawn cocktail which we both agreed had been put together with some thought but let down by being searved with some supermarket sliced bread and butter in little packets. Overall though we thought that they were worth the £5.95 price tag. Then the 'roast beef' dish arrived which could not have been much worse if they had tried to make it so. The roast beef was boiled not roast and was machine sliced not carved, but worse still it tasted of nothing. The roast potatoes were tough and leathery, also tastelessThe mashed potatoes were dry and without a hint of butter and milk/cream being addedThe yorkshire puddings were bought in as frozenThe vegatables (carrot and cauliflower were overcookedThe gravy was quite obviously from a packet and again tastelessWe both pushed our meals to one side because we could not be bothered to eat it. So when the waitress came to see if we were finished saw that we had left the food she the asked if we were happy with the food. We told her exactly what we thought and she just walked off to the kitchen. We were soon joined by the owner's wife and the chef (a term I use very lightly) who immediately attacked me verbally. The owner stated that they have been searving the same food for 38 years. When I re-itterated my observations of the food the chef told me that the roast beef was roasted last Friday and left to stand for a day and a half to rset and that the roast potatoes were roast during the previous day and then re-heated. He stated that the beef was sliced and then re-cooked in the gravy. When I pointed out that the beef was therefor boiled not roast he realised that he was wrong and so just walked back into the kitchen. Whilst we were there we could see that they were re-heating food in a microwave. We were not only not given any form of appology but were verbally attacked for our oppinion and then charged £38 for the two of us for food which we could have got for very little money from the local supermarket as a frozen dinner.I hope that you have taken the time to read all of this response and that you will avoid the place like the plague.

Arrived there at 12 noon new years day, after a brisk walk up from Mytholmroyd, to be told there was no food, as the chef was having the day off, but Elva, the landlady, despite only having had a couple of hours sleep, offered to make us a breakfast each - oh what a breakfast! I am not really a fan of 'the full English' but after the walk, it was the best thing ever. Bacon, fried egg, sausage, fried tomatoes, black pudding, baked beans mushrooms and numerous rounds of hot toast and butter. And the cost - £20.00 for 4 adults and 2 children, a bargain! Thank you Elva, will def visit again.

Booked Stod Fold for my husbands 50th surprise party. It's a really great venue for this kind of event, great events room, hassle free organising, very accommodating and the staff were lovely. People came from all over the country and they all commented what a great venue it was.

Due to the restaurant being quite small it can be quite noisy so I probably wouldn't recommend it for a romantic evening out. It changed hands a few years ago and to be honest the last time I went in under the current ownership I wasn't at all impressed. I decided not to have a starter and my main course arrived about two minutes after I had ordered it. The chips were cold and the salmon tasted stale. However, tonight it was a totally different experience. I was met at the door and shown to my table, last time the staff ignored me and I was left to find my own table. I ordered a mixed maze rather than a starter and main course. Once again it was so much better than the last time I had this. I don't think that they have a separate menu for children but, they do have a separate vegan menu and the choice for veggies is great.GF people will have a limited choice but, that is the way of Turkish food. They also have a good selection of cocktails on offer. Wheelchair access is good. There is a small step to access the restaurant and I do mean small, the toilet is on a level with the main room though as with a lot eating places the tables are quite close together. All in all, I would recommend this for single people, couples and groups. Not sure if it is open every evening and certainly not every lunch time so check first.

Absolute rip off with their curries ordered a large curry and ended up with a normal container with barely anything it which cost £10 which is not worth it at all! and when called up refused to accommodate and made it out like we was at fault for ordering wrong size when I specially asked for family container’ they was not willing to help or give us more instead of charging us extra’ never again’ many of us were left hungry! Highly disappointed! And most importantly no spice whatsoever even when we asked for it! Absolute shambles!!!
