Fresh, delicious authentic Turkish food. Great service, music & chilled atmosphere. Highly recommend Patates Salatasi, Tavuk Beyti.

Called in here on a thursday early evening. No one else in the restaurant. Ordered our starters - garlic mushrooms and grilled halloumi. Ordered our mains 2 x mixed grill. We asked if the rice could be exchanged for chops and were told yes. Asked for a beer, a glass of red wine, and a jug of water. The beer and wine came to the table in a timely manner, but no water The starter was served, and we asked again for the water. This time, it came. The main was served, with rice, not chips . We pointed this out to the server, who said she would sort it. The chips arrived halfway through our meal. I don't know whether this was the fault of the restaurant or the servers but it spoilt our meal. Maybe the servers should spend less time on their mobile phones and more time with the customers

The food at this place? Wow. Now, I'm the person who will always leave the side salad. But there was some vinaigrette type dressing on tonight's salad that was too good to leave. Even the tomatoes went and I despise tomatoes! The garlic mushrooms were amazing, and the perfect starter to the steak which, when I asked for medium rare, is exactly what came (with that same yummy salad and dressing). My husband ordered the garlic king prawns which he said were delicious (we didn't swap halfway through, I don't know what they taste like first hand, honest!) And the cicak (yoghurty/minty side) makes a great dip for your breads, salad, steak, chips, or just eating alone because hey, why not, it's delicious and still on your plate! The prices are not extortionate considering it's 1) a restaurant 2) Hebden Bridge which makes for a very spoiled night out for wifey. Definitely need to book ahead as it's a small place, but it is really worth making that little extra effort to do so. Thank you for having us, we'll certainly be back!

Wonderful food, lots of flavour and beauifully presented. I would go back again.

The food was good, the service was ok given that it was managed by two very nice and friendly local girls, but it really needed a presence from the owner to make the customers feel welcome and create a bit of atmosphere that was definitely lacking - a poor shadow of other Turkish restaurants that I have visited; to be given instant coffee as an Americano was an insult given the amount of the bill. Good location, nice food, staff did their best but overall an unsatisfactory experience

Kicking myself because I'd cancelled AyaSophia in Hebden in favour of coming here for our Xmas party. Big mistake. Hummous tasted of nothing, no seasoning, bland and no garlic or lemon - just yuk. Falafel, tasted like they'd been cooked and warmed up, rock hard and solid in the middle. Borek - the smell was of cooking oil that needed changing months ago. Really, really unimpressed with all of our food. I've eaten there 3 times previously and the food has always been amazing. Dont know whats gone on, new chef, change of ownership, no idea, but I definitely will not be going back there. Save yourself the drama and go somewhere else. Next time i'll stick to my original plan of AyaSophia.

As a Turk, from London I wasn’t really impressed with this place. The food was alright, but it just didn’t feel authentic, even just down to the music choice 🤣. The food portion was realy small for what I ordered! The desert was the best bit

We had booked in for Friday tea and it was excellent. The food 🍲 was the best, the staff and service came with a smile ☺ and we really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely visit again next time ⌚.

We came here for an early tea on a Sunday. Lovely staff. Friendly atmosphere and prompt service. The 2 course meal on the menu was good value and good portion sizes. We even took sone home.

I used to eat here a lot before lockdown. Since then it has changed hands and to be honest it is't a patch on how it used to be. The main waiter often has friends sitting at a table and he seems to think that chatting to them is more important that taking care of the customers. The quality of the food has also declined. It isn't awful but neither is it great. The food used to have a kind of zing to it and now it is just about ok. I'm guessing that other people are feeling the same to be honest as the place is usually mostly empty. Having said that their special deal is a very good one and much cheaper than most of the other places in town.

I hate to say bad about any restaurants, especially when many are struggling to survive, but I must be honest and say I was extremely disappointed with our meals when we visited last week. I love Turkish food and as my ex of many years was Turkish I have had more than my fair share of Turkish food, not just in restaurants but also in Turkish homes. So I feel my opinion is well based not just on kebab vans. The starters were okay, nothing special, but it was the main courses that were so disappointing. My sister’s Iman Bayildi (“the Iman fainted”) was more like Imam Sinirlendi (“the Iman got annoyed.”) She had to fight to find a vestige of aubergine amongst a goo of cheese topping. And my mixed grill (Karisic Izgara) was a plate of tough meat that may well have been pre-cooked and then warmed up to serve. And if it wasn’t but were freshly cooked then the chef had overcooked it. The lady serving us was friendly but sadly she couldn’t make up for the poor food. It was embarrassing for my sister who had been recommended here or I might have made my disappointment known. What a shame.

Had my 80th birthday celebration dinner here. Great food and service. Two years plus on from the abive, The Olive Branch is as good as ever. Prices are reasonable in the present circumstances and there us no stinting of portions. I gave fewer stars for atmosphere as it was noisy when we were there and my friends and I found conversation difficult.

Lovely food yesterday at The Olive Branch Hebden . There were 11 of us and all the food was delicious! No complaints . All the food came out together and was hot . People said they were the best burgers they have eaten Service was fantastic the staff are lovely . Definitely will be back again

Food was okay, but we were sat next to what sounded like a hen do. Bloody loud and none of us could really talk.

The food wasn't very good. Seemed to be a mixed bag of cuisine. The service was friendly though.

Had a late lunch with friends and we all went for the 2 courses for £15.95. We all had the garlic mushrooms to start and I had the chicken and wraps. Everything was delicious and I scraped my plate!! 😋 Portions were just right and value for money. The waiter made us feel special and the 3 of us highly recommend going to the olive branch!!! Very busy at weekends so book a table.

Lovely authentic restaurant with interiors to match. Only downside was the sticky table. Ordered two courses - and that was good value for money.

I ordered a feta and spinach thin base pizza but got a normal cheese pizza, not feta. When I queried it, twice, I didn't get anywhere. Wouldn't recommend it

Mixed mese for 1 expensive (£26) consisted of deep fried vegetarian bits- deep fried rubbery calamari and about 5 small tablespoons of hummus tzatziki etc No meat products at all ! And three strips of bread not at all good!

Excellent service, presentation, special requests, lovely atmosphere. Grilled halloumi and grilled sea bass and yummy lemon cheesecake. Just was not happy with the flavor and the bulgar wheat that evening.

Had the £25 each sharing plater and whilst the starter tray was fine, the main platter was very disappointing. Very dry meat thrown onto the platter. The service was very lacking - we were the only people there and no engagement what so ever. Never asked how the meal was etc and we asked for a break between courses that didn't happen. Will not return.

Superb food and great service. It was quiet this evening which suited us as the group of us were able to have a good natter.

Great turkish restaurant to dine. Was one of the only few places open on a Sunday evening in the area. Good presentation and dining fairly well laid out. The flavor of food is good. Flavors blended well yet reserved at a good level to he enjoyable.

Fantastic little Turkish restaurant. The service was very friendly and welcoming and the hot and cold mixed platter we shared for the meal was sublime. Somehow the grilled halloumi was not salty, they are magicians in the kitchen. Will be very happy to go again if I visit Hebdon Bridge again in the future

I've always enjoyed my meals here. Always tasty, cosy atmosphere and reasonably priced for Hebden. Something to suit all tastes on the menu.

Lots of choice on the menu very friendly staff and well impressed on the quality of the courses I had spicing was spot on . Will go back again soon for another day trip .

Absolutely loved it. Food was out of this world, so fresh. Service appeared slow though there were a lot of us in one party but they managed to deliver all our meals in one sitting. We were amazed. Its a quaint little place with lovely friendly staff & really reasonably priced.

A place we used to visit nearly every week, but there was a big staff change and it lost its appeal.... Decided to bite the bullet and go back to see if it was any better .... The food was ok...but portions were ridiculously small... 4 small pieces of calamari for a starter that wasnt over cheap.. Burger and chips, there wasnt even a half portion of chips leaving 1 very hungry person.... Steak was unusually small too... generally not a happy experience and wont be rushing back again. On a plus side what we ate was tasty ...

Just go! The food is absolutely delicious! Our group of 4 ordered all ordered something different but it all came together and was beautifully presented and hot, the cacik was stunning and a perfect complement to the chicken and lamb skewers and the vegetarian in our group declared that it was the best meal she'd ever eaten! Service was friendly and efficient, it was reasonably busy when we went and the whole atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. I promise you won't be disappointed. We will most definitely be returning!

We loved our mixed grill and vegetable stew. Full of flavour. We also enjoyed the cocktails and the Turkish beer. Service very nice too. It's like being in Turkey without the flight.

Absolutely beautiful food, staff were fantastic

We visited on a Sunday evening in March. The town was packed (parking is a nightmare) but The Olive Branch managed to find us a table. This is a splendid restaurant in all respects. We had nachos and King Prawns as starters followed by mixed grill and chicken fajitas as mains. With two drinks, the bill came to a very reasonable £46. Portions were large, service was impeccable and the ambience was lovely and relaxed. Don't hesitate to visit. A top place.

This is a lovely little restaurant serving really tasty food. The service is fast and friendly, the ambiance exactly as advertised. I highly recommend you pick this place first when visiting Hebden Bridge.

The food is first rate with the meat in particular being both tender and flavoursome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Don’t be put off by the fact that it looks more like a café than a restaurant it is definitely worth a visit

Came here last minute for a family members birthday meal after being let down by another restaurant. The food was lovely but the portion sizes were very small compared with their sowerby bridge restaurant

Abolutely amazing place, lovely staff, calm and relaxing music, we both had a brilliant experiance with this place, begeterian menu is a top nosh! Good choice of wines and dessert, deffo will be coming again! Vegeterian moussaka was delish! Happy New Year, keep the standards up, we will be back.

Gorgeous little restaurant in the centre of Hebden! I had the fajitas and they were incredible ❤️ and a very reasonable price (about £10 I believe)

Great service with fresh and tasty food from an extensive menu

It was ok but that’s all. Falafel starter was overdone and tiny, nachos had so much sauce they were mostly soggy. Pizza and Pides were good tho. Baklava was tasty but not that fresh- hard to cut with a fork. Service was friendly but not attentive.

11th October 2021 Couldn't fault this place, friendly 'human' service, beautifully cooked and presented food, and astonishing value. Little things sometimes make a big differenc. Although Turkish is often seen as mainly meaty, this came with a refreshingly varied salad.

We booked for a Saturday evening the restaurant was packed, always a good sign. All the food was very tasty and the portions large. The hot meze starter was superb as were our lamb kebab and adana kofte. Very tasty baklava for dessert. Service was quick and friendly.

Visited early doors on a Friday having booked a table online. The welcome was warm and the service very good throughout. The food was very authentic. We had the cold /hot meze sharing plate followed by the most tasty baklava. If you like real authentic Turkish cuisine then this is for you.
