Lovely Mediterranean spot! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere at Café Passion was warm and welcoming. Great service and a perfect place to relax. There are more tables upstairs if it gets busy. Highly recommend!

A great little hidden gem in the heart of Halifax. The owners personally dealt with us during our visit and made sure we were all well looked after. The food was amazing and fresh off the grill. Will definitely be returning.

Cafe passion was excellent, the staff were very friendly and welcoming! The mezze was so fresh and tasty, the grilled meat was cooked to perfection and the tiramisu was world class. The Turkish coffee was amazing and even had a coffee reading experience.( if you know you know) I would recommend everyone to try it out!

What a wonderful surprise! I recently visited Caffe Passion and was pleasantly surprised to learn it’s under new management. The changes are amazing! The food was even more delicious than before—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere felt much more welcoming and friendly, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. It really feels like a whole new place, and I can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended!

Popped in for some lunch and the food is still so lovely. Really good quality and fantastic prices. Unfortunately due to the cost of living and possibly the terrible road works in town it was quiet but I will definitely return and highly recommend.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Cafe Passion. We were greeted in a friendly manner and we were not rushed to make decisions as to drinks and food. I highly recommend the high octane but not at all bitter Turkish coffee. My veggie partner ordered the Yaprak Sarma, a cold dish. He said it was the best dish wrapped in vine leaves he'd ever had. I had a taste and then another taste and another. I had the Mantar, and it was a feast for the senses as the aroma of the dish was as gorgeous as the taste. The accompanying pitta was very light and rich. We agreed it was the best we've ever had. My partner loved the Mantar too, and ate the rest of the creamy sauce with a spoon! For our mains I had the Lamb Shish Kebab and my partner had the Halloumi Kebab. Both were absolutely delicious, grilled to perfection and subtly spiced. My lamb melted in the mouth! The accompanying salad had flavour bombs and textures that made them a delicious part of the meal, not just a side. The Bulghar rice was fluffy and subtly flavoured. We also loved the yoghurt and salsa sides which added texture and taste without overpowering the main meals. We ate every bite! Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert! We will definitely return to Cafe Passion and highly recommend it for the delicious authentic Turkish cuisine and friendly staff who are happy to serve you and give you a superb dining experience. We went today for a girls late lunch. My friends have all been before but it was my first time and I was blown away, it was utterly amazing. The food and service were fantastic. We all ordered something different and each meal was so tasty and fantastic sized portions. The chicken was so tender and the salad that came with the meals was so fresh. I fetched some of my meal back as the portion was so big and my husband has just eaten it. I’ll be booking again soon so we can try some of the other dishes form the menu as there is so much choice. Thank you for making our special day more special

A straightforward little restaurant serving simple but superb food. A perfect spot to eat before heading to The Victoria Theatre or The Piece Hall.

Absolutely love it here. It's usually quiet so don't need to book. The food is amazing, everything we've tried over the last couple of years has always blown us away. If I'm Halifax for food it's a must visit.

Pide was very tasty and filling, but definitely not traditional Turkish pide.

Don’t go based on the prices of their menu because you will shock when you pay. The real price is double Not recommended

Went here for my 60th birthday meal with family. Been here before for my son's 40th and again the meals we all ordered was cooked to perfection. So much in each meal ordered that was well worth the price. The restaurant is very clean and the service we got was brilliant so thank you for that. Will be back again. Thank you Bernadette

I've been told it's a great place, but I wouldn't go that far! OK, but nothing special. Passable for quick and convenient food..

This is a nice little cafe in the middle of Halifax, with seating downstairs and upstairs. There are a couple of small car parks nearby. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table and the service was friendly throughout the evening. The food was freshly cooked to order, good portions and very tasty. The evening menu is restaurant priced, although sadly the evening menu is not available to view online in advance. The bill at the end was exactly right, correct to the prices shown on the evening menu, and shows the VAT if anyone needs it for business etc. It’s cash only. Apparently the card machine is ‘broken’ ( they rang us the day before to tell us). The drinks were a little expensive (e.g. a coke is £3.50 and they literally hand you a can of coke! They automatically add on a 10% service charge to the bill. It was busy when we were there on a Saturday evening, with dine in and takeaway, and as it’s a small kitchen everything quite took a while. But overall it was a great evening, with nice food and friendly staff and we would visit again.

Went here as a couple. Food is good, but prices shown on menu EXCLUDE VAT. Now I’m sure it will say this in small print somewhere, but 2 main courses (no pittas) and 2 drinks was £51 !! Absolute rip off

Lovely food and attentive staff

I ordered a steak with chips to eat in, on arrival my food was packed in a take out box which I wasn’t happy with. I said I informed them I was eating in and with poor attitude my food was thrown onto a plate and then was told after eating I will not be allowed back at the premises for no reason. I didn’t finish my tough overcooked ‘medium’ steak with my cold fries due to the disrespect and was asked to leave by irate staff. Would NOT recommend this place…AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO MANNERS

I was blown away by this place. From the outside it looks like a small cafe, but it's like the tardis and is deceptively large, and also busy inside. So nice to see a restaurant that's busy, and it is easy to see why. The menu has so many options, and they somehow feel healthy. Massive portions, and so so tasty. Had a beautiful Turkish coffee, halloumi kebab, and hummus, and every bite was just perfect. Staff were very attentive, and prices are more than reasonable.

Just been for lunch as a group of 10 on our lunch hour. We pre-ordered by phone which made the process quicker, we were in and out within an hour. Lovely food as always and plenty of it. I would recommend the halloumi grilled sandwich.

I'm not in the habit of leaving 1* reviews but after being (I believe accidentally) overcharged on my credit card vs what was on the bill, and Cafe Passion not replying to any of my 3 webform requests for them to reimburse, I have no other avenue to take my complaint. Sorry folks. (If you read this Cafe Passion, please respond to my webforms over the past 2 weeks). To all diners - CHECK THE AMOUNT TYPED INTO THE CARD MACHINE MATCHES YOUR BILL

Sister in law tooks us for lunch after telling us how great it was. Food was fantastic especially the mixed cold mezze we shared. We each had different kebabs which came with a lovely bulgar wheat salad. Fresh bread and lovely sauces. The guy serving was great and the experience will definitely be one to repeat.

Small restaurant, with great food. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday evening, considering we hadn't booked. Looked tiny on arrival. However, there is an upstairs. Decor is basic, and it felt more like a popular takeaway had decided to create some seating. However, the service was friendly. Alcohol was available, and it appeared to be a popular spot. The food was the best part of the experience. We both had chicken Shish. The chicken had great flavour and was perfectly cooked. All the side salad was nice and fresh. The mushroom starter was nicely flavoured. No wonder it's highly rated. It gets the food right.

Despite being advised, our initial choices were unavailable; we went with the waiter's alternative recommendations. We weren't disappointed. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you so much We will will definitely be back

My 1st visit here and it was really good. Went with relatives who had been before so they new it was good. Food was delicious and well priced. We will go again. The liver starter I had was very good 👍

We both felt the food was excellent along with the service. Would definitely come back for more! It is deceptively larger than it looks from downstairs as there are more tables upstairs making it larger than just a 'Cafe'.

Basically a takeaway with seating beyond the grill/kitchen area and seating upstairs. The food was fairly decent but nothing to write home about and the prices were about average. However, we were charged £3.50 for a small cans of coke! The guy that served us also suggested we pay a service charge which I declined mainly due to the extortionate price of the drinks. Can't say I'd be visiting again anytime soon.

Had a lovely meal here this week. A gorgeous chicken salad. I loved the salad dressings which elevated the dish. Then shared a strawberry cheesecake with my friend (what a mistake - it was so light and fluffy we could have eaten one each!!). Will be back!!!

Delicious grills comes with bulgur rice/chips and salad. Very clean and fresh, cooked to order only so expect waiting times. Gets very busy at times due to limited capacity, and take away orders maybe delayed to prioritise dining in customers. Would recommend and visit again.

Such a hidden gem! Literally didn't expect the food to be so top tier. I went there with my whole family and the setup upstairs was great for us. The toilet location isn't the best however as people do have to come upstairs to use it as its close by the table. Despite that downfall the food more than made up for it and the service was great also. Throughly enjoyed it, I will be going there again 👍🏽

Food was decent. Halloumi kebab was a bit tinpot, some of the meat dishes were well reviewed by other members of the group. However, £6.50 for a bottle of beer is unacceptable, would not visit again.

Food was lovely . We were a large group that had booked and they couldn't manage to bring out the food at the same time , which was a little disappointing. Only 1 man serving in the restaurant of 2 floors .

Had a really great meal here before a show at the Victoria theatre. Beautiful freshly prepared salad, I had the sea bass which was perfectly cooked. Service excellent. Worth knowing is cash only, but we were advised of this when we booked. Would certainly recommend and plan to visit again.

Just had a group lunch and it was utterly dreadful. Half the food was cold, two peoples orders didn't come until everyone else had finished and drinks we ordered never turned up. Then the incredibly rude waiter had the nerve to put a service charge on the bill. I will never set foot in this place again.

Rang at 6pm and they said they were opening delivery at 7-7:30. I asked if this was for definite as we’d order elsewhere and was assured yes. We waited and eventually rang back at 7:30 to check, they’d decided not to bother. The person who answered was rude and unhelpful, no apology. Last time we went we were overcharged for two meals so won’t use again and check your bills.

27.50 for a hot meze starter for 2... overpriced for what it was! Main meal: the meat was average at best! After reading reviews we were looking forward to our meal but we were left disappointed. Expensive for what it was, bread and salad largely.

Food was beautiful! Really reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. Staff were friendly, polite and friendly. This is a must try place! You won't be disappointed they were six of us who had different dishes and every member of our party really enjoyed thier chosen dishes.

Sadly, although lovely food, my dish was a mix of two (probably due to one man doing everything except the cooking). Ordered the salmon and prawn tagliatelle with a dill sauce. Was asked if penne pasta would be OK if no tagliatelle available. I agreed, assuming I'd still get the dill sauce ...unfortunately was told "chef must have got confused" when I queried the penne pasta in a creamy tomato sauce (the vege option). Still got the lovely salmon and prawns but also alot of mushrooms ....I have an intolerance to mushrooms and would be ill. Thank goodness I noticed. Although I declined a fresh plate (would have made us late for Theatre) there was no adjustment to bill, no offer of extra drink in compensation, in fact we realised afterwards we'd been overcharged by almost £4. Too late to go back, on our way to the Theatre. Be warned!!!!

Bit pricey but good food if you like that style. Usually get a plate with a few different bits to it. Seems like the only real change to a fish is the meat everything else is the same. Salad, dips, couscous. Tasty though.

We went here for a meal before going to Victoria Theatre. We have been before years ago. It was lovely. We were looked after, we booked a table down stairs as mobility issues. To say small space downstairs didn't feel cramped. The seats were comfy to sit on. The food was lovely, decent portions. Intact to many chips for both of us. First time having Turkish beer and was lovely. Bit surprised cash only and luckily I had enough to pay the bill.

Been few times now and the food so good & fresh and lovely service. Will return again soon.

Called here for pre theatre dinner, the food was delicious and well presented also very good value. Service was a little slow but very professional.
