We were visiting Hebden Bridge and was looking for somewhere nice to have lunch. From the start Cafe On't Front stood out with its colourful front and delicious menu full of choice. The staff were very helpful and the food and drink arrived quickly. Everything was hot and tasty. we finished with a generous icecream cone as we left. We will certainly call again.

Had a great breakfast at this lovely cafe. Had a full English which came with both fried bread and toast. Bacon cooked to my liking and also a nice hot cappuccino. All the staff were friendly and made me feel at home being a solo diner. Great value and a gem in lovely Hebden Bridge. If you are after a hearty unpretentious breakfast or lunch would highly recommend.

Only been here a couple of times but, both times it was a lovely experience. This is a basic cafe not a bistro or anything like that. They serve good traditional English food that a sadly nobody else really offers in Hebden. If you are looking for a goats cheese panini they you are in the wrong place. (they do offer salad sandwiches though). If however you want a full english (meat or veggie) at a reasonable price then this is the place for you. The cafe is wheelchair user friendly though it is quite small. No toilet but, they have a key that lets you use the public toilets next door free of charge. Oh, and a big bonus for me is that they welcome dogs. Take away is an option. The staff that helped me were just on the right side of friendly and efficient. Not fussing around but, also not ignoring the customers either. A real gem for people wanting down to earth food and drinks.

We had visited an antiques place and they recommended this little cafe, so glad they did. Immediately the 2 girls that were working there greeted us very polite and friendly, big tick . We ordered double cheeseburger and spicy chicken burger, both were served with an extremely fresh well presented salad, chips and an absolutely delicious made on the premises coleslaw. the portion size of the meal was huge, well satisfied, so tasty too. Hubby needed the loo, none on premises but they offerred key for the disabled facility just next door, thanks. I needed water to take medication with my meal, brought it straight over no fuss, very grateful i was. when we visit hebden bridge again we will head straight for here as we felt really comfortable here and were served great food by great staff.

This cafe has a charming frontage and is on the road going through town... it attracted me because of the location and the building. However, you should note that the locals may not be captivated by that charm because for them it's the norm. We ate here because we needed to sit and talk ...not that much talking occurred after having a personal disagreement, but that's life. The cafe has a few tables inside and interesting paintings on the walls. They were polite, although not friendly towards me. That changed when they recognised someone or ... they were serving a male. I understand that it's nice to have eye candy, but consistency is the key to customer service. And it was clear that they were capable of being friendly and engaging. I had a potato with cheese and found it a bit blah. I expected more from the cafe and it was not delivered... maybe I got a bad day.

I'd been for fasting bloods at my GPs and walked into town perished in this awful bitter weather and had had no breakfast 🥣 So called in as it was the first place with hot food that I saw. WOW !!! Did they write the book about how to look after their customers in here ???Amazed, stunned & delighted to put it mildly. I'm veggie so asked for a non menu item which arrived with a steaming hot brew within about 7 minutes of me walking through the door but was it good or what ?? How anybody can make such a basic food item taste as good is beyond me but it was excellent and yes, I was tempted and added 2 pieces of parkin to the order which I shared with a friend later and that also was extremely tasty. Overall, reasonably priced, spotlessly clean, excellent customer service and yes I'll head there now any time I need a quick butty and know it'll be worth every penny. Thanks guys keep up the very good work 👷 ☆☆☆☆☆

What an absolute gem of a place. Ticks all the boxes...dog friendly, beautiful decor, welcoming and homely feel, amazing cake and friendly staff. The fact this place is open until 8pm is also great. So many other cafes were closed......thank goodness really as we wouldn't have found this gorgeous place otherwise. Coffee is gorgeous and the cakes were not only proper cakes but absolutely gorgeous. Fresh and delicious. The staff were super friendly and loved the fact we had our dogs. As someone with Autism the whole place just felt so lovely and I can't wait to return. We weren't overly hungry which was slightly annoying as the menu looked fab. I'm not vegan but the options sounded amazing and there was plenty of choice. Can't wait to return. Thank you!

This is a little gem of a cafe in the Piece Hall in Halifax. I came with a coach party from around the Blackpool area and we were dropped off at the Piece Hall first. It used to be a cloth merchants place many years ago and I worked just around the corner from here in an office in the 90’s and could not believe how much it had changed. It is full of little independent shops well worth venturing inside to look around. The stone work has been cleaned and the walkways/ floor redesigned. It’s beautiful now. A lot of money has been spent doing it up. They were just preparing to hold a Eurovision Song Contest party and I believe they held a Coronation party also for King Charles on May 6th. I ventured upstairs, there are lifts as well as stairs and came across G’s cakes. I love a nice latte and cake. Already members of my coach party were inside and I was served by a really lovely lady called Helen. She said she loved her job and you could tell. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a latte which was just perfect and a large slice of Victoria sponge. It was delicious. There were so many cakes to choose from. I was told they also had another outdoors eatery downstairs. It was so nice in G’s cakes, I went back before the coach headed onto Shibden Hall.
