Visited the cafe , Very good coffee, lovely and strong. Enjoyed our food too, tea cakes and a bacon sandwich, all very nice. The lady in charge was very friendly. A good experience will return. Plenty of antiques to look at spread over many rooms, good to gave a good look around..

We go to the pear tree pantry three times per week. Walk out surviving mini schnauzer and always stop half way for a bite to eat and a cuppa. The food is excellent and a nice place. The flower shop is excellent too. Great place highly recommended.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and have always had impeccable service and exceptional food in a beautiful setting. It was always a special treat for us and highly regarded by friends and family. I am aware of the recent change of ownership. Things have certainly changed here and not for the better. No table cloths, paper napkins, slate mats, mediocre to poor service, orders taken on iPad. Food was ok but not what it once was. Lots of chips in buckets. I won’t go into the minutia of the meal but overall disappointed. Very sad.

Nice little pub/restaurant, been done out lovely. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome. Would have gave it 5 stars but unfortunately was very disappointed that they didn't have steak on 'steak night' Everytime we have visited for food there has been an issue with limited stock. Would still recommend and we will visit again at some point.

I was staying local at the Wortley Cottage Guest House a few miles away, and the owners Tony and Sue, mentioned how good the Travellers Inn was and they were not wrong. I called on the speck and I was lucky to get a table, as loads were reserved and I can see why. They have a good selection of cast beers (a shame I was driving and couldn't have a pint). The menu is good, with the typical pub food, but also plenty of different food as well. I just went for a small gammon, as I heard that the portions were large, and I am glad I did. The gammon was a good large piece of steak and not the circular stuff that some pubs dish out. The chips were hand cut, proper chips not the frozen one, that everyone sells. The staff were helpful and plesent. Would I return and recommend. Definetly. If you like my honest review, please follow me as I review on a regular basis.

As always we were served delicious food - and superb cakes especially my fave bakewell with compote - piping hot strong coffee in a hot cup and wonderful service from all the staff Also I want to say a huge thank you to the first aiders who were with my friend and I within two minutes when she fainted in her seat today and the very kind gentleman who asked if we needed a doctor. Luckily she was ok within half an hour but the competency of the staff is so good. Thank you again.

We visited on a lovely sunny morning before the temperature rose too high. After a walk from Cawthorne my dog and I needed some refreshments before walking back. I ordered a teacake, latte, cold drink & 2 sausage & black pud for my dog. The lady behind the counter was very cheerful, friendly and welcoming. We sat outside, which had parasols up, to protect against the sun. (There is seating inside as well if preferred) The cushioned bench seats were also a welcome addition and gave the whole place an added comforting touch. The food came fast and was really good. My dog loved her sausages and black pud and I've promised she can go back for more another time. The price was really good for the quality, previously we have used other cafes on site but I think we may stay to The Pavilion now as its much better value for money and the staff are lovely. The toilet facilities are also great if you're an individual flying solo with a dog, I was able to take her in with me (I wouldn't have left her outside) and make sure she was safe, something you can't do at all premises that offer toilet facilities. It makes a different when you're on your own. We definitely will be coming back again, very peaceful and great food!

After a tour at the Cannon Hall museum needed a coffee and snack when I came across this place next to the walled garden. It is an outside facility which not ideal on a wet day but fortunately there are shelters! Had warm vegan roll, ginger and pumpkin cake and coffee for just £8. I'm not a vegan and generally avoid vegan food but this was spicy and delicious. The ginger cake was yummy and good coffee too. Staff were friendly and the whole experience was a pleasure. Highly recommended, great for dog walkers.

Stopped for a quick snack, lovely place, clean and very friendly. Had a lovely well filled sausage and egg breadcake, with a cup of tea, can sit in or out. Unfortunately its take way only at the moment but either way highly recommended
