Lovely tea room and village shop situated in the fabulous village of Cawthorne. Staff are so friendly, food is great and they even sell plants

So reliable, fantastic every time.. It’s family run & it shows.

We popped in the first time to see if they had something I'd forgotten to pack for the festival. They didn't but the owner offered to buy it on her way home, which was incredibly kind of her. We returned the next day, picked up my purchase and stopped for a lovely cream tea (with coffee) in the gardens

Very nice little village shop that sells bread and pies and cakes and fruit and vegetables and as a very nice tea shop at the back. A nice little find just a short walk from cannon hall .

Lovely old fashioned touches! Connects you to the more peaceful pace of life that I enjoyed when I was younger. Friendly welcoming staff and excellent quality food. Been many times and quality always consistent.

Beautiful village shop. Lovely selection of local produce. The freshly baked croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice make for a perfect breakfast.

Great little tea room and village shop. If the weather is clement, I’d recommend sitting in the garden and listening to the birdsong.

Quaint little tearoom and village grocery. Nice coffee and cakes. Can take a while to get served. Seating inside and out. Tends to close early when it suits them.

Unfortunately we haven't visited for a while, just due to circumstances. The high standards have been maintained and a face lift has taken place in the interim period. Lovely bread, cakes etc, nd great friendly service. we are looking forward to a further visit when the weather improves so that we can eat and relax in the garden area.

What a great place, a friend recommended it and we weren't disappointed. It's a lovely little cafe with a fabulous garden area. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely, independent tea room and village store. I have walked past it before on my walk from Cannon Hall, had no idea the garden gies on forever. Friendly, helpful staff, great selection on the menu. Had a toasted fruit teacake and the cafetiere coffee was very tasty and had not had that brand before. Lovely garden area and view, very relaxing. Outside selection of outdoor/indoor plants for sale, a vine that loves it's home! At the bottom of the garden a selection of local and non local fruit & veg, the quality was 1st class and great to see where they come from. 1st class customer service, tea room, village store, garden, food and prices. Would highly recommend.

We have walked past the village store before, but had no idea there was a tea room and garden how lovely it is. The staff are friendly, helpful and the selection of food is great!. There is an area where fruit and veg are sold and the quality is 1st class. It's labelled where it originates from and lots if other Yorkshire produce us sold, even a little plants for sale area of indoor and outdoor. The service and food was really nice and coffee very tasty, would highly recommend. Support small, independent businesses. Thankyou

Lovely quaint local place for tea/coffee and cake. People are so friendly and welcome and the gardens have great views. They have a great selection of wines by the bottle, a fabulous Sangiovese and Voignier!

Lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in, there's also a gorgeous garden if you fancy your tea outside, Hilary and Andrew are such lovely, warm hosts and take time to make you feel like a valued customer. Beautifully served food...highly recommend!

The owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly, they only use the best ingredients for their food. It is of the highest quality. The owner is always looking at resourcing new types of food to increase the quality and variation of choice.

Always friendly. It's great to support small local businesses like this rather than lining the pockets of the faceless supermarket. Surprising how much this little store stocks and all clean, well kept & competitively priced. Home baked cakes ruin your diet but are oh so irresistible! Love it.

What a delightful find this cafe was, we were visiting Cannon Hall and walked out of the grounds and into Crawthorne village. We found the cafe and was delighted that it was open on a Sunday Beautiful garden with a selection of seating, but we chose to sit inside, as we had been out in the sun for a while. I loved the decor and furnishings inside. Polite, friendly attentive staff, a delicious selection of cakes on offer, also savoury items. Great coffee too. It was altogether a wonderful visit and would highly recommend.

Lovely setting and great service. Loved the plants for sale but the menu could have been bigger and it was a bit expensive but worth it.

Lovely spot with great views but sadly each time we have been, the service has been slow and always short staffed. They seem to struggle between serving in the shop and serving lunches out in the garden. We arrived at 1pm for lunch, and despite notifying them beforehand that we were bringing my Nan for her 93rd birthday, they had run out of nearly all breads, quiches, other savoury snacks, and when we asked for onion in our toasted sandwich we were told that it would take too long to cut the onion!! They seem to sell out of most things from customers coming into the shop but don't set enough aside for the lunches in the garden! The portions are tiny, my sandwich was a child's portion and the salad consisted of half a cherry tomato and a few strands of rocket leaves. The food definitely does not fill you but the prices are high. Sadly we will not be going back there again as there is a bigger selection elsewhere with larger portions and quicker service.

What a beautiful tea room - everyone was extremely friendly and the food was fantastic. The scones in particular were the stars of the show. The gardens outside are beautiful and we look forward to our next visit very soon

Over 3 years since we were last here. Glad it has survived the great covid crisis and it certainly deserves to have done so. I can't think of a single thing to criticise. Great service from very nice people delivering high quality produce including excellent coffee at very reasonable prices. Very relaxed ambience.

Lovely tea rooms, very tranquil setting and lovely food although salads are not very big, probably better to have a sandwich.

What a fantastic find. My son and I fancied a drive out and I looked up tea houses in Cawthorne. This little cafe came up and it was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had cheese and ham toasties which were delicate and tasty plus one of the flavoured pork pies and a side salad. Everything was delicious and so reasonably priced. Before we left we bought some of the delicious cakes and another pork pie to take home. We will definitely be back.

Lovely tea room and the seating outside is very pleasant with the sound of the water feature. Coffee is very nice and the home-made scones delicious. The staff are very friendly.

This store And tearooms are a little Gem. The staff are absolutely lovely. Sometimes you may need to wait but it is worth it, it is a very popular place in this lovely little village. The veg store at the bottom of the garden is an added bonus to the products in the shop. The cakes are so fab, one of these with a caffatier or a pot of tea is a place to rest And chat with friends.

Small and friendly. The sandwiches and teas/coffees and wonderful. Lovely seating area out at the back with views over the valley. Blankets provided if it's a bit nippy outside. Fresh fruit and veg available as well. Well worth a stop off on your walk in and around Cawthorne.

I love to have a walk around Cawthorne and call for an Americano and a snack. Lovely polite friendly staff, great service. . Freshly made sandwiches, nice bread. The garden out at the back is nice to sit in and have a light meal when the warmer weather comes.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly and brought everything to our table. Nice cuppa with plenty of hot water. We just had toast and a cake which were quality and tasty. Lovely garden with outside tables and chairs. Will certainly go back.

We had a lovely welcome here - and a great tea with a superb cake. It's now called the Cawthorne Village Store & Tea Room , I think. As well as great tea (we were there at teatime) it acts as a village shop and cafe. Warmly recommeneded.

Lovely owners and the Scones are to die for!!! (might be a sunday special) Tea, coffee and the cakes were all very lovely and the garden is beautiful view a great view overlooking a valley and hills.

Popped in for a bacon sandwich (done crispy) on brown breadcake was beautiful, plenty of bacon on. The staff are so nice and attentive.

I last reviewed this little gem of a place several years ago and if anything it's got better. Small but perfectly formed. Excellent service and good quality coffee and cakes. How wonderful it would be if every little village had one of these.
