Dodworth Deli & Cafe in Barnsley

Passed 15 mins ago & needed breakfast.. the BEST sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! Shame we’re no longer local but my family are so I’ll be sending them! ☺️

Called in after some good recommendation, and wasn't disappointed. Lovely clean modern interior, very polite lady who was rushed off her feet but very welcoming and friendly. The food was very nice, cooked perfectly and well packaged in a heat bag. A good range of food on the menu too. Highly recommended 👌

What a great business! I wanted to find a special treat for my Mum & Dad’s Anniversary. I contacted Dodworth Deli & Cafe to see if there was anything they could do to help. Living abroad it’s not easy to organise these things, but this business were absolutely the best. Within 2 hours of receiving the request my parents who are in their eighties were both enjoying this lovely spread. They were delighted with their gift and I was so pleased with the service I’m thinking asking for their help with deliveries in the future. WELL DONE DODWORTH DELI & CAFE! You are a rare gem 💎 10/10 for food, 10/10 customer service much better organised than some of the much larger business’s out there. A genuine heartfelt THANK YOU from us all! 💐

Wonderful little deli with plenty of on street parking outside. Varied menu with daily specials. Food top notch and well priced. Coffee very good. Friendly staff delivering excellent service and with a smile. Eat in or take-away. Will definitely return. Thank you ladies🙏🏽🙌👌😘

Wow, the best breakfast I have had for ages!! Such a lovely little cafe, great food and great service. Our food came super quick and it was amazingly priced, we had 2 large breakfasts and a pot of tea to share which we got 3 cups each out of and it came to £10 each. Really impressed we will definitely be back!! Thank you Lisa and Ruth!!❤️

Wanted to stop on our way up north but didn’t want a services. Found this fantastic little place only 5 mins off the motorway. Very friendly and fab food. Definitely worth the stop!

Fantastic little cafe. Great selection of tray bakes. Will take phone orders ahead of time so worth noting if large groups plan on arriving e.g. bike clubs.

Ran out of time to feed the kids today so decided to call off and grab me and the kids some dinner and I am so glad I did, staff are friendly and welcoming. Food definitely good for the value we all had a chicken,bacon and brie panini with a very fresh salad and coleslaw each, all meals in hard takeaway box's so easy to transport home. 5* from me will definitely be using again.

Gosh called for a quick sandwich and I was so so shocked to be charged £8.40 for a Tuna and Cheese Pannie and a small blackwell tart to take out !! I have a photo and if I could upload it I think you wld all agree no one (except for silly me) would pay for what I received ! I didn't eat the tart as it was dry ..... Photo now uploaded .. sorry but I cannot afford these prices.

Visited with a friend for lunch after a three year gap. The food was just as good and we both enjoyed it however we were sat right next to the counter and my eyes were constantly running. We eventually realised that staff were chopping onions!

Went today for the afternoon tea. All I can say is it was absolutely amazing. Fresh produce and all homemade. Definitely worth every penny. We came home with everything we couldn’t eat…..just perfect

Today, my wife and I had lunch at this great little cafe. The food was gorgeous. I had the Vegetable Quiche and my wife had the Prawn Sandwich. Both came with a lovely salad and home made Coleslaw. The coffee was excellent and the service from the lovely, friendly Staff was first class. The prices are right too. We will definitely be back.

We come here 2/3 times a week without fail, for lunch. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely (and extremely generous portions!) The best in all of Barnsley and possibly the world If we could give it 6 stars, we would Highly recommend

This place is under new management so thought we'd give it a try. Friendly and polite staff, clean and tidy. Not a massive place but they do takeaway. They have a good selection of stuff like jackets and quiche. The sweet stuff looked AMAZING. The sandwiches were delicious and they offer specials which all looked very tempting. There was so much I would have liked to have tried so will definitely be back for a visit.

We went back today after about 18 months because of lockdown restrictions as we were working locally. Pleasure to be back. The place is under new ownership but is Just as good as ever. I had a piece of bacon and tomatoe quiche and a slice of bakewell tart - both homemade, both very tasty. Service as always was lovely. We'll be going back.

Popped in for a sausage sandwich to takeaway. Place was really clean, lady behind the counter was really friendly. Sausage sarnie was fab, good quality sausages and very reasonably priced. Will be going back and would definitely recommend.

This morning, my wife and I called here for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee and it was nothing less than perfect. I had a Sausage & Egg and my wife had a Bacon & Egg. The sandwiches were gorgeous and the coffee was lovely. The star of the show was the lady who served us. She provided us with a superb breakfast and everything was done with a smile and a friendly chat, what a refreshing change these days? Love this place and can't wait to go back.

Lovely food as always brilliant staff

We never get tired of the great coffee at this wonderful little gem of a cafe. The food is excellent and the staff are brilliant. Just one piece of constructive criticism, please lose the radio, its intrusive and spoils the atmosphere, the music tends to be the same as in a late night taxi. Other than that, the cafe is faultless.

The hot chocolate was 10/10 Honestly contemplating getting the train back just for their hot chocolate

After shopping in town today and reading excellent reviews we went out of our way to try healthy food. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and greeted with a smile. The coffee was piping hot which is a bit of a novelty these days. I had a prawn salad and my partner had a chicken and ham salad bowl which was really cheap at £5.20. The food was crisp and fresh and thoroughly enjoyable. They also had homemade cakes, free WiFi and today's newspapers what a lovely place we will be visiting again the next time we visit Barnsley. Coleslaw in a cup to die for!

We popped in for lunch after a walk one Saturday & were greeted with a lovely friendly welcome. We ordered coffee while we checked out the menu which had a great choice, I opted for a toastie with brie/ham/chutney on brown while hubby had his old favourite ham & cheese sandwich on white a classic (apparently you cant go wrong!) They both came with salad, crisps & homemade coleslaw ... Mmmm delicious. Portions are generous so we had to buy cake to take home. All food is fresh & homemade & served with a smile. They do lots of different dishes from breakfasts to sandwiches/toasties to hot food like lasagne & obviously cake ... all Yum! It's a lovely little gem & we highly reccomend it to all! If you have no time to sit & enjoy your food they have a fab deli perfect for those on the go! Enjoy ... we give it 5*!

Been to the Dodworth Deli and Cafe on a weekly basis. Admittedly usually for breakfast but almost inevitably buy things to take home for family.Today I took home some quiche which was delicious. (Yes I succumbed to temptation) I also bought two cream buns for visitors which were also devoured with relish.You cannot fail to find something to suit your taste or mood.That is only the food the staff are totally charming and helpful to all who visit.A huge thank you

Me and a pal walk on a Wednesday morning and follow the walk with lunch somewhere near. We walked around Silkstone and Silkstone Common and saw Cafe Cocoa reviewed on Trip Advisor, so we gave it a try.I had my usual BEST and my pal had a bacon and egg sandwich. The cafe has a large menu with lots of variety of food. Everything was top class-the food, the surroundings and particularly the staff.We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Great little place to eat. Food always lovely and staff always friendly and welcoming. Great cooked breakfast plus also a deli counter with local products.

My wife and I had a breakfast sandwich before our usual long journey home, I had a sausage sandwich and my wife a bacon one, both were hot and tasty and very nicely served.

My collegues and I generally order from the Deli cafe 2 on a regular basis for lunch it is always well presented and cooked well the salad is very fresh. Very good

Went in for the first time for breakfast with my boyfriend and it was absolutely amazing! Great value for money and variety of choices. Absolutely delicious!

My wife and I had a lovely bacon muffin each on the morning we travelled home to Scotland and they were both extremely hot and tasty. The muffin itself was really nice, with butter, which my wife does like!

I was next door at the salon having my hair done and my aunt ordered me a sausage muffin as I hadn’t had any breakfast! It was delicious, plentiful and piping hot ! Will definitely return 😁

If you want a comfy, warm,clean ,freindly place to have a cuppa or a snack ,this is it. The staff are lovely smiling ladies,and the food is hot or cold delicious and not overpriced,come and see you will not be disappointed,

We have been visting this little place for the past couple of months and to say the food is outstanding is an understatement. The prawn and salmon salad id absolutely fantastic served with a home made dil sauce. Get there early to get a seat.

Visited Saturday lunch time at 13.20 and it was full. Fortunately someone was just leaving so we were able to get a table.

We booked a party of ten for a Friday night. We were given lots of options, Dawn catered for all dietary requirements. The 'token' vegetarian really appreciated the range of choices that she was offered. Dawn transformed the deli into an intimate venue, complete with complementary bubbly and candlelight. 6 super courses, with portions so large that we couldn't do justice to the last two. Staff were friendly and professional, can't recommend this place enough.
