This is a regular stop for our football supporters club when travelling in the North East of England. We are always made to feel extremely welcome by the staff and locals. Service is top notch and the food is first class.. The pork pies and dripping sarnies are a bit special. They organise a full events schedule to keep the pub lively and welcoming.. We always look forward to our visit when we are in the area,

We were part of a large group and had an excellent meal here. Service in the bar area was very good and staff very helpful and pleasant. The children and adults were all impressed with the food.

Mel and Lynn are great hosts and have time for everyone. They do great food and beers with special menus for events such as Valentine's day. They have a great variety of events throughout the month such as quizzes and the like. Most of all what they offer to the public draws in a good cross section of people. Well done the Prospect Tavern.
