The T Pot Cafe in Barnsley

We went for Christmas Lunch today with friends. It was amazing the food was so delicious, we had a home made prawn cocktail to start which was so tasty then it was a choice of turkey or pork some of us had pork and our other friends had turkey both just melted in your mouth these were served with roast and mashed potatoes, roast parsnips pugs in blankets, stuffing ball, peas carrots, sprouts and the most amazing broccoli and cauliflower cheese and not forgetting the home made gravy. Bet had home made trifle and Geoff had christmas pudding and sauce plus mince pies but we were all too full. We have gone for a few years for our Christmas lunch because it is so lovely. Thanks to Janet and her team for a lovely time everyone is just so friendly. Anyone one who hadn't visited the tpot cafe you must it's wonderful tasty home cooked food. Diane Goodyear

I ordered a Ham salad for the other half, but we received a Ham salad sandwich on white bread which she can’t eat unfortunately. I didn’t have time to try and sort this as I am busy working so it was easier for her to just grab a snack instead. The quality of the food is amazing and we’ve never had an issue before, maybe you were just busy and made a mistake?

The food from here is absolutely amazing I would recommend this cafe to anyone the staff are also very polite and friendly. To everyone out there you need to eat here.

The delivery guy was taking my food to the house up the street, i especially wrote in the notes where to find the building which he obviously did not read, I text him telling him to look behind him ect but he just carried on going, by the time he gave me my food it was cold. Food was nice but all over and cold. I did also explain to the driver that I couldn’t just leave my place of work as I was the only one in there, as he did not seem happy that I didn’t walk up to him, not even an apology.

Didn’t put the toast in put orange juice in with the food so now it’s warm bacon doesn’t look cooked eggs aren’t even runny 0 out of 10 for me

Never had a problem with this place until today..rings up to tell them my order is wrong and all I got was bad attitude "what dya expect me to do about it I can't do owt" so I asked for another to be sent out she said "no a can't whatever bye" Wow.

Best breakfast we’ve had delivered. All cooked really well and came piping hot. Great packaging too. Just what I needed on a Saturday morning!

I am really sorry I didn’t reply to the delivery driver as I had my headphones on and was in a meeting! My partner told me the driver was really polite and I didn’t say anything! beautiful b.e.s.t sandwich but very messy n soggy I forgot to put in notes no egg but that's on me managed to get the whites off though so it's all good yummy sandwich just make sure you've got wet wipes or something to clean up will have to order a full English sometime I'm glad you use tin tomatoes and not fresh can't stand fresh tomatoes all in all yummy my husband had a ham sandwich which he enjoyed

Stopped off and had breakfast here. What a little gem this place is, breakfast was tasty and enjoyable, the girls were friendly and very attentive. Would definitely go back again.

First time here and won’t be the last. Fresh, tasty and value for money. Only thing was I asked for brown bread cake, but got white. A lovely ham salad sandwich that wasn’t all sloppy like a lot of places! The ham was nice and fresh and not the pre-packaged slimy type. Fantastic little place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely cafe very friendly reasonable prices

This cafe is a little gem! It’s very local and always friendly and welcoming. Best in the area. Today we had home cooked Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and it was just delicious. Janet and her staff are brilliant and are always on hand to check everything’s ok. Wish I could give them even more stars!

My egg and mushrooms was in bottom of white bag the brown box was open unreal

Great value for money and lovely homemade food. The delivery driver was unfortunately really rude, but I didn't reflect this in my scoring as I don't think the driver is connected to the cafe. The custard had also leaked out of the box, so it might be worth looking at putting this in a sealed container.

Food is always lovely good portions beautiful homemade chips

Really good food, just a shame they are inconsistent on what comes with each item. We ordered club sandwiches which shows on menu comes with coleslaw but often gets missed.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing! We love a great all day breakfast. Sadly, we were missing our cappuccino.

Absolutely lovely food, and the cake was to die for. Tried to Order again today but the delivery times kept changing so had to cancel, just some constructive criticism.. if you have a driver shortage and can’t keep up to orders then turn ordering off. There’s nothing worse than being on your dinner break ordering food and the restaurant not being honest about wait times.. I mean I’d definitely order again. The cake really is beautiful. Disappointing today though, xx

Food is absolutely fantastic. Very generous portion sizes, the breakfast roll I had today was the best. Think breakfast from here is going to be a regular thing in this office! Highly reccomend.

Just visited The T Pot Cafe for the first time. Opted for a large breakfast to take out. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicous! You can tell they really care as all of the food was quality not the rubbish you often get at small cafes. Will defo be visiting again!

This is by far the friendliest cafe we've been to over the last 12 months. Travelling all over the North of England we visit our fair share. Food was piping hot, only the best ingredients used and the two lovely girls who looked after us were kept entertained by our quips and attempts to speak with a local accent.... It's reet good, th'a knows.

Janet and her team are lovely, welcoming and friendly. Food is great quality and value and made fresh with love.

It's a local cafe serving the local community with eat in and take away. Had breakfast here with family. Food was exactly what you would expect from a local cafe for an English breakfast, bacon, sausage, egg etc. Not a huge seating area but sufficient for the small number of customers Bottom line: Good local cafe

T pot cafe is a small cafe set in a south Yorkshire town called dodworth it has the quirkiness of a tearoom Setting with lovely friendly staff I had all day large breakfast which was good quality plate clean of grease and oil very well presented this is definitely a hidden gem in yorkshire and I highly recommend the visit congratulations you scored a 5 star review 1 star for cleanliness 1 star for food quality 1 star for customer service 1 star for staff friendliness 1 star for presentation of food and premises

Great service and superb food as usual. Tried their 11 inch BBQ bacon pizza. Generous toppings and outstanding value at £6.50. Best coffee for miles around. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic home cooked food, clean shop friendly staff couldn’t ask for more. Even delivered or food to site nothing was to much trouble if we’re in this area again I’ll be ordering again without a doubt.

This little cafe hidden away in Gilroyd is outstanding. We are a bunch of foodies and I can’t fault the breakfast. Proper sausages and bacon, doorstep toast, the full works, absolutely delicious and great value.

Fantastic Mother's Day tea. Cakes were homemade and so light. Definitely value for money and worth the 30 mile round trip to pick them up . Keep up the good work Janet , we will be back

Would highly recommend this Cafe! The food is extremely delicious and you can tell the owner takes real pride in what she does. It has a vast selection of proper homemade food, and if you’re not too full from the generous portions they serve, they do a great assortment of dessert! All in all staff were fantastic, the food was outstanding, will be going back!

Hubby and I passing through between the Yorkshire Dales and London. Saw this place on Tripadviser. A bit out of the way, but just great. Our cook was so friendly and gave us a special treat of homemade scones to take with us. Hubbie had “large” breakfast and they weren’t kidding. I had Eggs Benedict (including a double yolk egg that the cook got a kick out of) that was very good as well. Thanks!!

Janet at the T Pot produced a fabulous afternoon tea style catering for guest at our wedding ceremony to enjoy. It all looked amazing and tased just as good. The vintage China supplied added a lovely fine detail and classy touch. Thank you!

This time it was Sunday lunch. It does not matter when you call, from a biscuit to a complete meal with all the trimmings, the welcome and service is always first class.

We were on our way to Wentworth Castle when we spotted a small sign for this place and decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed, We were greeted by the lovely Janet, seated and made to feel very welcome. Felt like a favourite Aunt was treating us to a home cooked breakfast. I had the large breakfast, lovely bright yellow, runny yokes, quality herby sausages, bacon, beans, toms, hash browns and toast-- very generous and TOP quality. My wife had the pancakes with fresh cream AND strawberries-- delicious. Tea and a LARGE latte went down well. All this for £12.60!! What a great place. We noticed the Xmas and Sunday lunches were equally good value, if they are as delicious as our brekkies you are in for a treat. Janet is very friendly and attentive. I think the Sunday lunch has 3 choices of starter, main and desert. From memory 2 courses around £8, all 3 about £11

Absolutely delicious vegetarian breakfast. Staff very friendly and polite. Clean café with nice fresh food. Only fault is they're not across the road from our house. :-) Fantastic breakfast, polite staff, clean surroundings and delicious freshly cooked food.

We were unfamiliar with the area, living in Sheffield but we popped in to see if they did a vegetarian breakfast. It is probably the best veggie breakfast I have had since moving back to Sheffield a year ago. Vegetarian sausages were amazing and breakfast did not taste greasy at all. Also a really good cuppa in a decent sized pot. Staff were very welcoming and asked further about our dietary requirements to make sure they weren't going to give us something we were intolerant to which gave us confidence. They are obviously very popular with repeat customers as they greeted many of the other customers by name. Think we will have to find an excuse to come back.

This is very local for us. Having overindulged the day before I was looking for a healthy low calorie meal and ordered the ham salad whilst Janet ordered scampi. Both were excellent and great value. Excellent service. The home baked ham was gorgeous.

Beautiful food very friendly people

My friend and I booked an afternoon tea on a 2 for 1 offer during September. The selection of sandwiches and cakes were nicely presented on fine china and the unlimited cafetiere of freshly ground coffee was lovely. We were made to feel welcome and the owner was friendly and offered more drinks on several occasions. The selection of cakes and trifle were homemade and delicious although we were unable to finish them all. The remaining cakes were packed up and brought home.
