Decent little chippy, food was good and hot, priced reasonably too.

Fabulous fish and chips to take out,served by two very efficient team working pleasent ladies

First time to Huby's Fish Bar and it wont be the last. We have just moved into the area and were not dissapointed. Great value for money, the fish was fresh and batter crispy and the chips very tasty. Even my fuss girls loved the fish and chips. Will defianlty be a regualr here - thanks so much ☺

Best fish n Chips in Thurnscoe by far, only downside is you have to wait for fish, as cook to order but totally understand why they do it.

No matter what I get from here its always amazing. Whether it's the large fish and chips, scampi or scallops, the quality is always worth the trip from grimethorpe. The curry sauce is unreal As well. Staff are friendly and prices are brilliant.

Disappointed...... Galleon was shut so popped here Chips , curry sauce, and a mini cod for £9 after taking daughter for a treat to Galleon which was shut the Mrs said try Hubys.. and I did, can't fault freshly dipped fish, but greasy poor chips and curry with sultanas and onion bits , which my daughter said " looks like poo" and sadly scraping the bits off, greasy chips and poor quality curry was binned as shocking after explaining this is what chippies do and always go to the one you should of gone to . Which is the Galleon. If it wasn't for a really good mini Cod my daughter would of eaten nothing for a £9 treat.

How have I missed this before. Called on speck on Saturday afternoon. Fish and Chips as they used to be. Great. Worth the trip from Hemsworth

I got the steak pie and cottage pie with mushy peas . All was excellent. Proper traditional value for money food. Very impressed. I will be trying fish and chips next. Oh and staff are really nice too 😊

Called today on speck and found it to be a good old fashioned Chippy! Staff are very pleasant and I had fish chips and peas. The fish must have been swimming this morning it was that fresh! It was delicious 😋. Great location on the main road into Thurnscoe with parking outside. Well worth it, and we'll definitely be going back now we've discovered it

so nice we always went to galleon but its gone down hill decided to go back to Huby and wow.... so good the peas are traditional and the corned beef pattie is fab! unfortunately they do the fruity curry sauce but apart from that we'll worth it.

Really friendly chippy, food was good but portion sizes were on the small side. Other than that really good

Traditional food served fresh and to order. Brilliant quality and excellent service. Best I've tasted as it takes me back to my childhood when fish and chips were so tasty, just like you produce. Will recommend to anyone who wants amazing food at great prices. You always pay that little bit more for quality and you won't be disappointed. Give them a try, you'll be back for more.

Very pleasant staff always good service. Fish is beautiful. They give you plenty of scraps if you ask. I visit thurnscoe alot and this is the only chippy I'll use now. Love the new shop layout it feels alot bigger and more welcoming please dont ever change the service you provide.always a smiling face when serving each customer

I was shocked when they tried charging us an extra £1.60 for chips to go with my chicken fillet burger, for the price of the burger, I expected my chips. Safe to say they waisted their food, and my time. Not impressed.

Great food, and prices. Clean environment. Love how they ask your orders as soon as you walk in and then cook them fresh. No one seems to mind the wait. Staff are all chatty and friendly.

So friendly you can have a chat with them like youve known them forever. And the fish bites and chips are yummy theyre not stingy with the portions either. I get 6 fish bites and 2 large chips and it feeds 3 adults and 2 kids. Brilliant!
