As always we were served delicious food - and superb cakes especially my fave bakewell with compote - piping hot strong coffee in a hot cup and wonderful service from all the staff Also I want to say a huge thank you to the first aiders who were with my friend and I within two minutes when she fainted in her seat today and the very kind gentleman who asked if we needed a doctor. Luckily she was ok within half an hour but the competency of the staff is so good. Thank you again.

After a tour at the Cannon Hall museum needed a coffee and snack when I came across this place next to the walled garden. It is an outside facility which not ideal on a wet day but fortunately there are shelters! Had warm vegan roll, ginger and pumpkin cake and coffee for just £8. I'm not a vegan and generally avoid vegan food but this was spicy and delicious. The ginger cake was yummy and good coffee too. Staff were friendly and the whole experience was a pleasure. Highly recommended, great for dog walkers.

We have just come for a teatime meal. I had the millionaires burger and my other half had a Dragon’s Kebab Box. Everything was cooked fresh. The portions are very very generous, and utterly amazing. We will be back for Fish & Chips, we have had Sunday Lunch and that is amazing too. Everything freshly made and home made. You must come and try their ever increasing menu. It’s a little gem that everyone must come and try. Once you have been you will keep coming. It is such a friendly place to be. James and Stephen are amazing and trying to keep our local pubs alive by offering a great variety of entertainment and now food. Keep doing what you are doing.

Today I had the worst sandwich. I need gluten free bread which was available. Often gluten free bread by its nature is made in small slices. That's OK I accept that. But Todays sandwich had virtually no filling. I had ordered mozzarella pesto and sundried tomato. It had enough tomato a mere hint of pesto and the mozzarella had said hello to the bread but had left just as quickly. At almost £13 it was very disappointing. I wanted to complain but didn't want a fuss so didn't.

Cosy cafe in picturesque surroundings. Busy. Cash preferred but payment card available. I had a piece of chocolate fudge cake. Very sweet and a coffee. Partner had a bacon and cheese sandwich of a large fluffy breadcake and tea. Tea not to his liking and cold despite hot water provided. Nonetheless a lovely little stop off.

Menu enticing - execution poor- Was looking forward to menu changes. Lamb sandwich was quite good. Pollo Salad suffered from very slimy unknown vegetables and very wet aspects that tasted like they’d been in the walk-in a day too long! Really not very appealing. When we asked the server what the vegetable was, she told us and mentioned that she had told the chef it was very not nice, they had said it was fine and she walked away It’s something that is so lacking in customer service sometimes- why would you antagonise a customer? Why not say these simple basics of acknowledgement, solution & appreciation “ I’m really sorry to hear it wasn’t to your liking”( acknowledge) I genuinely apologize that the dish wasn't to your liking. We would be happy to replace it with another option or make adjustments to better suit your taste. ( offer a solution) "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please allow us to make it right” ( gratitude) 9/10 the customer will appreciate the response and remember how you made them feel. It costs you nothing -
