Cosy cafe in picturesque surroundings. Busy. Cash preferred but payment card available. I had a piece of chocolate fudge cake. Very sweet and a coffee. Partner had a bacon and cheese sandwich of a large fluffy breadcake and tea. Tea not to his liking and cold despite hot water provided. Nonetheless a lovely little stop off.

What a terrific little place. We ordered lunch and the food was freshly cooked from scratch and so tasty. Traditional brunch or a delicious quality burger with vegan and chicken options. The coffee us great and the service is not rushed and simply a warm Yorkshire welcome. We'll done we will be back!

We were staying locally for a week and used the Countess on four occasions. We tried other places locally but kept returning here. The staff were extremely helpful and the service was first rate. The choice of food was impressive and the value for money would be difficult to beat. Some of the more “up market” venues we tried would do well to come here and learn a few lessons. We hope to return.

Thankyou so much to the staff today, especially "Pamelar" I went in today with my mum who has dementia, and our friend. I'm sorry we couldn't remember the young man's name who was also there, he was great as well. Pam treated my mum with patience and kindness, and we had a good giggle. The coffee's were lovely and mum really enjoyed the scone. We will be back and try a spot of lunch soon.

A very enjoyable visit today. The cafe is small but warm and welcoming. Good service, reasonably priced with a wide selection on the menu. The chip butties are amazing!! Dogs are welcome and there is plenty of seating on the terrace outside when the sun is shining. We will definitely return!

We called into the tea rooms this afternoon for a bite to eat and a drink! I was immediately impressed with how lovely and polite the young man was who greeted us as we walked in. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. We didn’t wait long to be served. The lady who also took our payment was also really lovely and friendly and asked if we liked our food. She seemed genuinely interested that we were happy with both the food and service. The young man also asked us once we were eating if we were ok with everything. The staff could not have been more obliging and friendly! We’ll definitely call in again and I’ve recommended the cafe to my sister who loves locally! We were given a loyalty card for our drinks and for when we next visit!

I fell upon this little piece of heaven today and I only had a Pot of Tea and Cake but OMG, the Orange Cafe is amazing and the tea was just as it should be in Yorkshire, "Full of Flavour and plenty of it" and all I can say is the staff are lovely and this quaint little tea shop is a great place to stop off at if you are in the area. Please don't take all the orange cake as I will be back for more...... 👀

After a walk around Wortley Hall gardens we went for drinks but were instantly tempted by the food on offer. I had cappuccino and red velvet cake which was a generous slice, very moist (clearly freshly baked) and so tasty. My husband had a cooked breakfast which was huge and very good quality. He shared it with our daughter and they both had hot chocolates with bunny shaped marshmallows too, which went down a treat! Family friendly, clean and welcoming. Would return.

Eggs benedict served with very thin slices of tasteless sandwich ham and non runny eggs. Very disappointing. A shame because the cafe is in an ideal position for walks around the area. The coffee is expensive (£3.60 for a large Americano). The outdoor seating area is pleasant.

Arrived at breakfast time to an empty café indoors (they didn't even look like they were using the interior seating) and the outdoor seating area more empty than full. Had to wait to enter the store as they had customer limits still in place. When we went in to ask for an outside table I was asked rather abruptly 'have you booked'. After checking an iPad we were told we could sit at a particular number table. No tables are numbered, so I clarified by pointing. Sat down to then have to wait 10 minutes for order to be taken. After being bothered by greenfly and not happy with our experience to that point, we opted just to order a hot drink rather than what we'd initially intended. We were presented with 2 very small drinks that were luke warm at best. We left our money (£3.10 per drink) and after a rather awkward 30 minutes of what felt like wasted time there, we left. When we'd arrived into the courtyard outside the shop and café we heard some cyclists comment that 'it's because we're not local', so assumed they'd not had the best experience in the shop. I found that amusing until my later experience left me feeling the service was lacking. The outdoor seating area is next to an exceptionally busy through road and the on Street parking very limited, not like one previous review would have you think. I drive by this place daily and have wanted to try it for a long time, but now I know and my curiosity has been satisfied and I won't visit again.

Called in whilst passing as saw signs for coffee and tea cakes - tables outside to socially distance and 3 tables inside. Track and traced. Hot coffee and tasty tea cakes with plenty of butter. Tables and chairs sanitised after use which was nice to see. Friendly team. Hand sanitiser available. Cute place with parking nearby. Would call in again if passing. Keep up the good work and good luck with the business in these difficult times as we felt safe.
