Very quiet. Card machine or of order. Not very accommodating with food choices. Food ok but not great.

Great place clean freindly staff good food

Went with family and had a lovely evening meal. The main pasta dish I had was very tasty, starter was great and we all enjoyed it.

Popped in for drinks after a dog walk. I paid, then thought it looked pricey, so I asked the barman how much he charged me for my pint of cider shandy . He said cider is £5.80 a pint, I replied but I've had half a pint topped up with cheap lemonade from the soft drinks dispenser, so how much is that ? £5.80 was the answer. How to lose 2 customers in 10 seconds !

Just been tonight and have to very poor,breaded mushrooms were actually battered tomato soup starter was watery and had some unidentified spice in it,was like a cheap packet cup a soup,the sirloin steak was thin,bland and I think not a sirloin,chips n onion rings were like they all been fried together,gor £20 I'd expect a decent steak,overall very poor and my daughter had specially chosed here as she lives local and has nevrr been,definitely over priced,staff however were lovely,can't blame them as they didn't cook the food

The perfect quiet place to meet my need for a (really good) mid-afternoon ribeye steak!

We were just visiting in the area and stopped for lunch. Amazing meat and potato pie!

Nice place, a little bit dark inside but very good service from the staff. I had a steak pie, which i felt lacked flavour and the meat was stuck to the pastry as well, due to lack of sauce inside the pie. The gravy that came with it was very tasty and i wished they had it inside the pie. I wasn't a fan of the chips but my girlfriend liked them. She also had the vegetarian skewer and she enjoyed that also.

The food here was 5 star and really reasonably priced with plenty of choice. What we had was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. There is a good sized car park if you are you going by car and easy to access location. It’s definitely worth giving here a try.

We were staying with friends in Dodworth in February and this was the pub we went to on our final night. I wish we had gone there every night! The menu,the staff, the food and the prices were all just great. Highly, highly recommended.

10 quid for small pop and a single archers and lemonade, thought I was in London. Lad on bar didn’t have a clue what prices were when I asked him, definitely drive straight past next time

Very friendly place worth a visit

Very good pub grub. Nice hand cut chips. 2nd visit and the fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, scampi and fajitas were all delicious and perfectly cooked. The only negative was that the plates aren't very hot unless you have a sizzler but would still rate it excellent. Good value too.. Convenient location for meeting up en route as close to M1.

We come here frequently as the service is unbeatable. Always incredibly friendly and polite. Food is wonderful and the chips are incredible Can't fault at all, this has become our regular spot

Two meals ordered. The burger arrived as mosh on the plate and down the side of the plate. It had to be eaten with a knife and fork. The chicken for the fajitas was covered in a hot spicy pepper which was burnt on. When asked what it was, I was advised it was fajita mix ! I left my meal. The meal was a waste of money.

Absolutely delicious food great value and friendly welcome. Woll definitely return here, and leave room for pudding! Portions are HUGE!

Popped in from the woohead pass for a bit of lunch.A sandwich is a work of art here! The welcome and the service here is exemplary, it simply could not be any better or more friendly. Clean and bright, excellent tasty food too.If I ever pass this way again I will certainly pop in for a full meal.

We had the chicken hanging kebab and one of the specials - the sesame chicken with coconut rice. The food was absolutely beautiful. The chicken kebab was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The coconut rice that came with the sesame chicken was so sweet and tasty. Lovely atmosphere, nice and quiet, just how we like it. Plenty of tables to sit at and lovely decor. The only negative was the amount of time we were waiting considering that there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant.

We were staying at Woodland View campsite across the road on a Sunday. Walked across to the pub to have a meal. Told at the bar meal orders finished at 7 o'clock, it was 2 mins past 7. We said ok we'll just have a drink so ordered a pint of lager for me and a pint of cider for my partner, cost was £9.80 for the drinks. We sat at a table to have our drinks and after we had been there about 10 mins the young man who served us the drinks came across to our table and told us the pub was closing in 10 mins. We asked why he didn't tell us this when we ordered the drinks as we wouldn't have bought them if he had. We finished our drinks and left not happy bunnies.

Drop in on my way home, even though I have passed this pub many times over the years I had never visited it. Well what a surprise, the food and service was great, we were lucky as we dropped in when it wasn't busy. Lots of choice on the menu and don't forget to look at the specials board. Will be visiting again soon.

Not great. Looks lovely from outside, and in a good position just set back off the main road, which is why we stopped. But. Couldn't take payment by card on the day I was there, and I could only find enough change for a coffee. Initially sat inside, but tables and chairs were sticky, so sat outside. Didn't stay long. Pity.

Awesome Sunday dinner. Very filling and tasty. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Will be back for another meal. Thank you.

Been here a few times now,staff are great, but the food this visit was overcooked, the hanging chicken kebab was very hard and chewy,and not to the quality as it was on other visits.

Went to a meal to catch up with family. A lot of choice for meals as well as real ales. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff and clean.

Visited for the first time and was let down by the quality of food, expensive for basic food that you could cook better at home. Most definitely wasn't home cooked food you can tell it was frozen and warmed up to serve. A salad with chunky thick wedges of white onions in a bowl of salad wish I would of taken a picture. Over £12 for a substandard food , left most of it. Childrens meal was frozen french fries with chicken nuggets, it made McDonald's look 5*. Wouldn't recommend or go back again. I eat all over with my job working away and this was the worst meal I've ever had. The manager could see we barely touched the food and never said anything, I didn't want to say anything at the time I just wanted to pay and get out. When we arrived we was informed the card machine wasn't working due to the connection. Surely it would have been courtesy to call an advise that we would have to bring cash, instead of driving 3 miles to a cash point machine. So many terrible reviews wish I would of looked before wasting £70 on terrible frozen food.. I'm absolutely disgusted that the pub can charge alot of money for frozen horrible food

Lovely pub, friendly staff always a nice welcome, lovely food and very reasonably priced.

Service is good, the beer is cold and takes Amex card. However the food is far from ok and is overpriced.

Took my Mum & Dad for a Birthday meal, the food, service and atmosphere were excellent, will return and definitely recommend

Some of the best homemade pub food you'll ever eat for very reasonable prices. Proper shortcrust pies packed with juicy steak, big perfectly cooked chunky chips, huge portions. Can't wait to come back!

Went here today with my hubby and 4 kids. Nice selection of gin 😁 and little beer garden. We had 4 kids meals (chicken nuggets, pizza and 2 lasagnes) which were all lovely and very generous portions! Hubby had a chicken burger and I had veg lasagne. Portions were generous and lovely - really nice. Really clean and tidy pub with a lovely waitress/bar maid. Thank you very much 😁

Great burgers, very tasty and quite obviously made from meat and not cardboard as Mac's seem to be.

Had a really nice hanging Cajun kebab from here today. Staff were all excellent also.

Now this is a pub we found by accident and pleased we did it is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it we have been a few times now and never had a bad meal, the food is always hot I especially love there chips one day I'll ask if I could have a chip butty don't know whether they do but I bet they would, there the kind of chips that used to be made in a proper chip pan beautiful dark brown, not anemic chips you get in most pubs, enough about chips, just like to say great food an choice compliments to all.

First time i've ever been in this place,,must say i'm immpressed. Lovely little pub with really helpfull and pleasant staff. The food was really good. Shall be going again at some point.

Another place that serves a meal in multiple separate pots. I don't want all the parts of my meal. I want it on a plate. Presented nicely.

Went on a quiet Tuesday lunch. Food was fresh and very tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Interior is well presented and very welcoming. Decore in places need a little tlc, such as hanging wallpaper. And the floor in the toilets were very slippy without signs. Overall though nice experice I would go back and would recommend giving them a shot if you haven't been in before.

We had lunch here today….the food was very tasty and the service perfect….very few people there, two left because the pub isn’t dog friendly ….we take our dog all over the country and very rarely is she refused entry…even NT cafes allow dogs these days…..they definitely make less mess and noise than children! Perhaps if the owners were to rethink their policy they may find more tables full, especially as the pub is in a walking area?

Friday night steak night.... Our first time. Excellent steaks... Ribeye and a sirloin plus a bottle of decent red included. We will be back 👍🏼

We have visited this pub / restaurant on three occasions and been more than happy on each occasion. We are new to the area and trying out various establishments and this one so far has been excellent. The menu is fairly standard pub food but reasonably priced and a good selection they also offer specials as well. Each time the meals have been lovely and decent size portions so good value and always tasty. Excellent range of drinks available the staff are very friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. Very clean as well. I would recommend a visit if you have not tried before. We will be returning in the future.

This place.. Omg what can I say. The food is beautiful. The chips are something else! 😋 The staff are polite and the service is excellent. We took some family last Saturday and they loved it. The pub has a lovely vibe to it. We've booked for the Christmas season but will be back before then!

Called in one Monday lunchtime, thought the portions were small for the price of the meals, everything came in separate receptacles, chips, peas gravy etc, why don't they just serve it on the plate, gammon very chewy ,but good chips though not many
