The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

Never had fish and chips from this Chippy, but the reviews seemed good. Sorry to say I was very disappointed. We had two fish a large portion of chips with curry sauce. The fish and the batter was so dry at the edge that when I was eating it I thought I'd come across some bones, it wasn't it was fried out batter and fish that was so hard and kinda sharp it wasn't edible a lot if the chips were dried up and kinda leathery. I only ate 3 quarters only because it's a lot of money to waste, my friend left half his fish something he never does and hardly touched his chips. The curry sause was very watery and no curry taste. We normally use the Lanes fish at chip shop on the Circle, but as the reviews for this shop were so good we thought we would give it ago, never again. My fried bought this meal as its my Birthday, and won't tell me how much it cost, but even it is cheaper than the other Lanes not being able to eat it was a complete waste of money, and as pensioner it's money that could have been better spent.

Great cafe. First time i visited for a birthday treat. The food offering was great! Prepared fresh and the sausages are the best in beverley. Team friendly and looked after us well. Has a lovely peaceful atmosphere tucked away yet right in the heart of the town

Estábamos haciendo una bienvenida visita de regreso a este encantador restaurante. Personal amable y servicial, locales encantadores y comida absolutamente deliciosa. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente. El menú estaba bien pensado, muy bien cocinado y bien presentado. El restaurante había sacado todas las paradas para San Valentín con rosas, pétalos de rosas e incluso música apropiada! No es una queja, pero algo a tener en cuenta - reservamos media hora antes esta vez (7 pm) como la música comienza en el escenario (directamente debajo del comedor) en el bar de abajo a las 9 pm y el sonido se mezcla un poco con la música del restaurante - no es suficiente para estropear las cosas, pero nos invitaron a tener nuestro café servido en el bar del restaurante en el mismo nivel y no escuchó la música de abajo en absoluto 👍 Sin duda volveremos!

Excellent service and the meals are out of this world

First visit for a pop up Sunday lunch, the food was incredible! Im really quite a foodie so this doesn't come lightly. Best sunday lunch ive had in a very long time. Accommodated my dog even though the venue is very small! We wanted a after dinner tipple - whiskey or such. The person taking care of us suggested a cocktail menu in the future. I strongly advised against this as may draw in a different clientèle. Very homely, warm, and very family run vibes. LOVE.

My friends and I enjoyed a delicious meal on a Saturday lunchtime. We all ordered off the specials board and were not disappointed . I had Pesce Rosso which was beautifully presented and tasty whike both friends opted for spagetti alioli, it was delightful with a surprising chilli kick. A shared starter of tempura zucchini with a glass of Prosecco each, 3 mains off the specials board with a side salad and a bottle of wine came to around £32 per person. Great value for wonderful food. We will definitely be back.

Great pizza and really good service! I had an issue with my order and they were really good at sorting it. Will definitely go again!

Good service and variety of beers

Nice food, hot & freshly prepared. Two courses for £16. Lovely roast beef lunch & sticky toffee pudding. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff. All in all a great experience.

Great food and good location. Service it spot on and fast. Food is quite authentic compared to what I experienced in Vietnam but it is toned down significantly regarding spiciness (ask them to bring on the heat to make it real). It is more “sit down” food so don’t expect a takeaway meal. I have been there 5 times and so far not been disappointed.

Fantastic Chippy better than you get at the coast. Large Haddock. Chip. Peas. chip shop curry sauce, scraps, Tartare sauce salt vinegar. Stuffed 5 star

Enjoyed a fantastic solo meal this evening. Having eaten here before I knew that the quality was high and tonight proved me right. I had a starter, main, side dish and a naan bread. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the servers were exceptional. Highly recommended

Great food and generous portion sizes

Nice little , friendly place. Staff attentive. Food was good value and extremely tasty. We had an excellent evening for the money. We will be back.
