Homeboy Pizza Co. in Leeds

With all the great reviews i'd hoped for better - maybe today is just a bit of an off day. Flavours were good, but pizza was beyond soggy and was falling apart as you picked it up. Had to roll each slice up just to avoid disintegration. Website wouldn't allow large as an option so we went with two 12". Can confirm they were 12" pizzas but i'll stick with Pizza Freak next time. Better structure, price per slicr and served in half the time.

Went to place collection, took ages to be acknowledged and served. Whilst waiting, the staff were being rude and obtuse to delivery drivers that were waiting to pick food up. Other customers in the shop waiting also appeared frustrated at service and staffs poor attitudes. I ended up walking out and not ordering.

First time trying after countless recommendations and I can see why it is rated so highly. Both pizzas were unreal. The base was thin and crispy, yet didn't go soggy despite the toppings and time to be delivered. Absolutely will be re ordering, the hype is very much deserved !!! Highly recommend new school marg.

Have visited this place twice now, food is amazing. Pizzas are tasty and freshly cooked, wings are also delicious. Customer service is great, even got a free pizza when we were there as they had cooked too many. Will be back again soon

Really excellent. My local pizzaria, I've been going since they opened in 2024 and it's fast becoming a Leeds institution. Great thin crust on the regular menu, but it's worth pre ordering a deep dish Detroit style as well for something thick. Friendly, devoted owner, good vibes from all the staff. Regular collabs with other great Leeds up and comers. A gem.

Absolutely love these pizzas, thoughtful veggie options and there vodka sauce is unreal. Get one of their deep dish Detroit style pizzas if you can!

Best pizza in Leeds. Become quite the regular and haven’t had a bad one. Every friend that comes to my house demands we eat here too. Staff are always lovely, welcoming and super helpful too.

Love Homeboy Pizza Leeds! Have been ordering their tasty takeaway pizzas ever since Harry was a small start up doing local pop-up events a few years ago. And now they’re my go to pizza, with their fully fledged takeaway shop. The sourdough bases, whether traditional New York or Detroit, are always amazing - never soggy or burnt, and the menu and collaborations offer a great variety of different toppings or even new non-pizza options. Look forward to their bright future as a business in Leeds, and many more delicious pizzas :)

Unbelievable pizza, I showed up after work after seeing all the buzz online but turns out I was an hour early, fortunately the owner was in getting set up and offered to make what turned out to be the greatest pizza I’ve ever had. Amazing pizza and even better staff. Thank you for feeding a daft lad after work

This is the best pizza in Leeds! We have had a few now, right from their pop up days, each one is delicious and never hit and miss. What is more special is the owner, I was pregnant last year and was craving their Detroit pizza which was no longer on the menu, I messaged them asking if it would ever be back as I was “needing” it, and to my delight he offered to make me one especially, and it was even a Friday, so a busy evening for them, which he didn’t need to do, I was thrilled, and I enjoyed every mouthful!

Any time we crave pizza, we always get it from Homeboy. They did a pop up at my previous workplace and I was immediately in love, when they opened a shop 5 mins away from me I was SO happy!!! My fav is the new school marg, but the pepperoni is unreal too. If you’re a pepperoni connoisseur, you know that some pepperoni meat is so dead, but this one is proper ! The service from everyone is great!!! And I love that you don’t feel like absolutely 💩 after eating it because it’s fresh. Side note: not one oil stain under the pizza when we have had it! Everything is 1000/10 (I just wish the sauce pots were bigger)

We’ve wanted to try this place for such a long time but don’t live close by. Had a late appointment at the LGI so decided to head here. Completely lived up to expectations, we absolutely loved the pizzas and fries. We also visited Homeboy at Tileyard in Wakefield last month and again, they didn’t disappoint. Just a shame we don’t live closer!

Neapolitan, Detroit and now New York style. Homeboy have got it sussed.

The pizza here is ridiculously good, I’ve ordered differently every time - my favourite so far is The Remy - The best tomato sauce on a pizza I’ve ever had. They use top quality ingredients which taste delicious and the base is so good you don’t leave the crusts. These guys know what they’re doing. Really friendly staff and if you order online with a booking slot it’s super easy to takeaway.

Honestly the best pizza spot in Leeds. Maybe the UK. We have been customers since they had a residency at Rolands. The Detroit style Scottie Pipperoni is so the best thing on the menu, nothing compares. The New York pizzas are also on another level. It’s so nice to have something unique in the local area. We had one slight hiccup where the pizza was 15 mins delayed but they sorted us out with a couple of free beers. I hope Homeboy pizza continues to smash it. They deserve everything they have achieved. I can confirm they are definitely not overhyped.

I couldn’t recommend more! This pizza is amazing! The thin pizza is exactly what I want when I order a pizza. The menu is diverse and encourages you to try new interesting combos or, if you want, you can have more traditional toppings. The staff is friendly and will make you feel at home in their shop. It’s also situated in a cute small shop with a homely feel!

WARNING: if you only like standard takeaway pizzas that are soggy with an inch of cheese, this isn’t for you. If you like lots of flavour, a thin firm crust with lots of texture that won’t collapse in your hand, and proper ingredients, you’ll love these pizzas. For good measure the chips are somehow way better quality than other takeaways too. Class!

It's a beautiful passion project to make absolutely banging super thin, super crispy pizzas. The effort to make a proper custom menu shines through, and the toppings range from absolutely perfected classics to wild and wonderful homages to childhood memories! This place has solidified itself as a top Leeds pizza joint, well worth a trip, you won't be disappointed 👌🏻

By far the best pizza in Leeds! The dough and toppings are super fresh and high quality, everything just tasted amazing- better than a dine in restaurant by a long shot. The flavours they offer make it even better and the guys were great at accommodating a vegetarian request! Amazing. If you're expecting Dominos, don't bother. This is proper pizza. We collected and ate in store, staff are really friendly. Ingredients are top quality. Base was super thin and the crust was excellent.

If you like “good pizza” this is the spot to go to. I’d you’re looking for the highest number of calories per square (round) inch, go to Dominos.

Been eating these pizzas since lockdown, best in Leeds

We got 3 pizzas delivered to us and thought it was excellent! I had the pepperoni was generously topped and had a great flavour. There had been a bit of a wait due to Deliveroo but they were kind enough to send us a garlic bread to make up for it, which was also delicious. Would definitely order again and go in person to experience them fresh out of the oven.

Homeboy Pizza is one of my favourite pizza places in Leeds. The pizzas are well baked, and have interesting flavours. It's also cool to see them collaborating with other local businesses to create new flavour combinations. If this isn't your thing, grab a Goodfellas from the freezer, crack open a can of Carling and stick on some Coldplay.

Harry and the squad make unreal pizza, me and a friend went and had 2, 2 dips and a beer. Class from start to finish and not expensive either

The best pizza I’ve had in Leeds. The dough was amazing and the toppings and dips were fresh. The music and decor inside perfectly matched the amazing pizza. The service was amazing even in the busy hours and got great recommendations from staff member Marcel. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore different types of pizzas and the classics!

Traveled 20 mins because I’d seen the rate my takeaway episode. The pizza I got looked nothing like Danny’s. Firstly if you’re Hungry, order two. The pizza’s are medium sized. Mine had virtually no cheese on it and it was about 1.5mm thick, if that and overdone. Hyped up to the moon this place. Sadly, it’s not a patch on Rudy’s. Won’t be retuning.

My lowest ever score ! Travelled 25 mins on a recommendation and frankly it’s not good ! Staffto busy chatting (student types) I’d have sacked them and the pizza to overly fussy not nice pepperoni burnt and garlic bread barely cooked … never again

Took over from my fav in the area, Harpo's. Adventurous flavours -- which is a plus and minus. I've had hits and misses with their flavour experimentation. Generally overall still good, although you may get unlucky with an overcooked crust (Harpo's had the same issue)

Clean shop, friendly staff & fresh ingredients. Could do with some of the classic pizzas. On the menu, every pizza seems a bit of a hipster pizza. The pizzas are only lightly topped, maybe to be more authentic Italian?

Ordered a pizza and say and waited for over 40 minutes and kept getting told it was coming soon whilst uber eats and deliveroo drivers were consistently given their orders. Got to the point we have to ask for a refund and leave as her nearly an hour. Other people were asking for a refund infront of us.

We have had 2 pizzas we got in person that were OK... I stress OK because they are a bit different in toppings and kinda the only option later on the way home. So we decided to try to get takeaway BUT when we ordered online our order was incorrect and cold and the pizza wasn't cut through. I don't know if it's the cool thing to not cut pizza now but it's annoying especially when it's cold, crispy and inedible. We risked it and ordered chicken wings... They were cold, missing half and really bad. We won't be going again.

Some of the best pizza I ever had. Really crispy. We tried the Paul Phoenix, it had a nice zing to it. We also tried the Pepperoni Jabroni, it tasted beatiful. The jalapenos really brought and the flavours of the pizza, adding a nice zest. Good sized pizza too.

I miss Harpo's :( what happened to my favourite pizza place, homeboy is nothing in comparison. The staff were unfriendly, expensive and the pizza lacked flavour. You can keep trying though.

Homeboy pizza co- I really loved the pizza Scottie pipperoni also I have found two unique toppings sesame seeds and poppy seeds if I'm not wrong. Those two ingredients added more crunch to the pizza. Pizza was so juicy and creamy TBH I could have given 5 star rating but the pizza was burnt on the bottom and I could taste the burnt flavour, I recommend them to have a look on the pizza on regular intervals to check if it is burnt.

Been 2x nice and pizza is absolutely gorgeous, love the choice of unusual toppings. We look forward to making our way through the menu!

Sadly a little disappointed. The flavours were pretty good but the pizza base was very tough and very chewy and there was minimal tomato sauce on the pepperoni one ( felt a little more like a cheese flat bread). The actual place is lovely and the staff were really pleasant! A good price point for pizza, however didn’t feel very authentic 🙁 perhaps it was an off day as the other reviews are amazing !

As far as I'm concerned, Homeboy Pizza has claimed my top spot for the best pizza in the city. It was Rudy's for some time but their pizzas became a bit too hit or miss during their peak times. Homeboy pizzas, on the other hand, are consistently good. The toppings are unique and the whole old school rap scene they have going on is very nostalgic to a pasty white man that grew up listening to East and West coast gangster rap.

Was told would be a 30 minute wait on arrival, but the guys never stopped grafting from me getting there. Which tells me the only reason I’m waiting is because they’re popular, and the only reason they’re popular is cause it’s awesome pizza. Had a Paul Phoenix pizza on a Friday night whilst the Mrs had gone away for the weekend. Liked it so much I went back Saturday. Haha. If you aren’t willing to wait for great food get yourself a kebab. This place is banging.

Not great sadly. The bases were over-done and the toppings were all very similar.

May or may not have come three times in one week - also wish the Mozarella dippers came in a box of at least 20 cause I could eat them for breakfast, lunch & dinner 🥵🍕
