We love to eat here on our York stays, there is a fantastic choice of food on the menu. Impeccable service of a very high standard. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff . Very reasonably priced delicious food of good portion sizes.

I don't usually post poor reviews for local places, and as far as atmosphere and service goes, Vocation is a good as it ever was. But I took some friends there recently and the food was really disappointing. We ordered both a burger and a pie. The burgers used to be fantastic but they seem to be a shadow of their former self. And the pies were mediocre at best. Such a disappointment. Come on Vocation, you can do better than this.

We stayed for my son and new daughter in law marriage. The venue was perfect the rooms were beautiful and the staff were excellent. I would highly recommend the venue in such a beautiful village setting

Lovely pub, very welcoming and accommodating. We had a range of dishes and portions size was generous But all the food was very good, 2 of us had Bakewell pudding - and was throughly enjoyed. Would definitely visit again.
