Lovely place, the food was so good, nice presentatión and outstanding service, the waiter very friendly and professional
Would absolutely recommend it.
Disabled access is through the restaurant next door which is not ideal. The venue wasn't wheelchair friendly despite having portable ramps. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

This pub serves good honest homemade pies, the beer is excellent and there is a huge choice, something for everyone. The views are lovely. I would recommend this pub.
Tripadvisor brought us here and I am delighted to report that TA was right this is a great place to eat in Northallerton, so good we visited twice during a one week holiday in the area. We tried a variety of small plate dishes during our visits and all agreed they were exceptional and flavoursome although on one occasion we did try a couple of desserts which were surprisingly underwhelming but this did not detract from the exceptional food, drinks and service we had already experienced.

We stopped here with our two young kids (1.5 years and 3 years) and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They brought out a plate of fruit and veg fingers food for my youngest which was so kind. The food was delicious - I had haddock chowder and my partner had rack of lamb special. The decor was quirky and tasteful, and there was local produce on sale like chutney, jams, honey, brownies, blueberry tarts. Would definitely come again, thank you!

Just moved into the area and had to join the queue 😀 Affordable and delicious fish and chips with curry sauce. I’m excited for my chippy thursday from now on ☺️ PS don’t increase the price too soon yet ❤️

We came for a lunch date & it was absolute perfection. Food was delicious, each dish was full of flavour. Lovely getting to sit near the kitchen to see the chefs in action. Staff were super friendly. Would defo reccomend if you’re in Leeds!
We started visiting Groovy Moo around 6 or 7 years ago and would call in for an ice cream literally every week and sometimes two or three times during the summer. They prided themselves on their huge "Yorkshire portions". The quality of the ice cream is second to none and we love it. However just after Covid they increased their prices, understandably, but also reduced the portion sizes significantly from 5 flavours to 3 with a large tub. They tried to say you get the same portion however this is nonsense as we have photos to show how they used to be, We didn't go for quite some time but recently started visiting again. Yesterday we called in and I asked for my usual large tub and the young girl serving gave me around a half to two thirds of the week before. I questioned this, giving the opportunity to top it up but she didn't. There needs to be more continuity of portion sizes. I just left feeling annoyed and the £5:50 paid was definitely not worth it. I think it will be a long time before we go in again. I love ice cream and the long drive for us would be rewarded with a good value ice cream portion, sadly this is no longer the case!
Visiting from Norfolk headed out for brunch having searched what's nearby and decided on this due to reviews and amazing looking eggs. The eggs Benedict looked great so ordered OG Benny eggs with bacon and a pot of Yorkshire fog tea. The food was amazing but the tea was out of this world and very hot which in sub zero snowy Barnsley was very welcome. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. I will recommend and come back for more thank you.
Dog friendly too always a bonus
