All the staff are great and welcoming. Everything is cooked fresh when you get there so it's still nice and hot when you get home. Batter is nice and crispy and dripping with fat. Fish, chips and battered sausage, are always cooked to perfection and great portion size.

First time trying this place. Loved it, freshly done fish and best chips I've had in ages from a fish shop. Friendly staff. Will be going back again.

Great prices and food. Young lass serving was a bit rude when questioning the price but other than that the Food is gorgeous.. one of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time, Not going to let bad service this once spoil the superior quality No greasy at all.. 5* All Day Chips have plenty of potato and it's Haddock fish, they have great lunch specials which I usually get which are fairly priced

Been using this 3 years and not once had a bad experience, the food has always been 5/5, there's a chippy nearby that gets praise but it's not as nice as here! Trust me

First time here. Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. Fish was tasty and chips well cooked. Gravy was one of the best and enjoyed the Chinese curry sauce. We will be 100% back again! Recommended.

How all fish and chips should taste

Way too heavy and greasy. Can usually eat fish and chips easily and want more. From here struggle to finish them and feel a bit queasy. Not sure if they don’t drain them properly???

Visited many times Superior Quality not to be missed ,really nice staff.

Foods amazing! It's all cooked fresh with minimal wait time. The price is reasonable too. Staff are polite and happy to help. This is now my regular chippy. Oh and the curry is the normal one.

Absolutely gorgeous! There's only 2 others in Leeds that have come close/on par to these. Beautiful light crispy batter that's actually tasty and lovely chips too. Wish I could eat them all the time. Cooked fresh to order too. Always very friendly staff.

It’s freshly made, they will fry the fish as soon as you place the order. Nice batter but could have been crispier to my liking, if you like salt and vinegar please ask for more as the default is not too salty and vinegary. Good price, good size of fish and excellent amount of chips!

We stopped here on the way home to Cheshire from our daughter’s in Ripon. We used to go to the Mermaid but since they’ve gone downhill we wanted to try somewhere different. These were delicious. Freshly cooked to order. Very fresh haddock with a lovely light, crispy batter and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely go again

Got to say a big thank you for the best fish & Chips in morley, drove up from Somerset on Saturday teatime went to Greigs for a sausage roll, two lovely lads working in there were very helpful, I asked if Hilly Croft was open and one of the lads said about Nelson been better, big thank you lads I went and the fish and chips were gorgeous.

Our favourite chippy thats local to home although there's several closer and Graveleys on our doorstep. Nelson every time but not perfection that's in Whitby.

In the age of deliveroo and chips shops that sell pizzas. Nelson's is the real deal. A good old fashioned chippy doing good old fashioned fish and chips. Very tasty, always fresh and the staff are absolute legends! It's a pleasure to give them my business.

Best chippy in Morley! Great food, great portion sizes to please everyone. My only thing and I say this about most chippies I've been to up north as I'm from South London, whats missing up here is a big lack of choice on menus. There are chippies that do have bigger menus but they really shouldn't bother as they don't do it well. But despite the basic menu, what they do produce is some of the tastiest best quality fish and chips I've had up here! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed 👍

Food was average for a fish shop, was quite expensive, fish was small and chip portions were small too, disappointed as ive heard nothing but good reviews about this place

Very nice place, but the normal sized portion of chips can be a bit much so you might want to go for a small chips but you don't have to.

Have used nelson fish and chip shop for quite a while .always a good portion and the hadock is the best around .

My first visit in over a decade ( I moved areas) and after been recommended by friends I thought I'd give it a go, bought special and chips to share with teenage daughter and it out faced us, generous portions lovely fish, freshly cooked.

Great fish and chips fried in the old traditional way in dripping . Which gives them that unique taste of bi -gone years. When my family visit from Cornwall the first meal they want iis fish and chips from Newson fisheries.

Best in Morley without a shadow of a doubt. Best in England to be honest. Went to magpie at Whitby in the summer and wasn’t a patch on Nelson. Nelson cook fresh straight infront of you every time. Absolutely excellent

Everything cooked to order, hence delays could do with more fish pre cooked at peak times would cut down on waiting quicker turn over perhaps?
