The best restaurants in West Midlands

I’m shocked at all the good reviews because my experience with his place is honestly really disappointing. Burritos are my favourite takeaway and after el Mexicana (which I thought was really average) closed I was so excited to hear a new burrito place was coming to town - and I was even more excited given their fantastic reviews. But I’ve had their burritos 4 times now (each time convincing myself to give them another chance) and each time food was simply super bland and really poor quality. Chicken tasted old and dry, the wrap wasn’t nice and soft as it should be (again felt as if the packaging was left open for a couple days and the wraps had gone dry), and the filling was just painfully tasteless. Customer service wasn’t great either. Definitely won’t be going there again which is a shame!

Lovely food but wrap up its so cold in there. It looses a star for coldness, someone warned me before i went so i did have warm clothes on thankfully

If you want a lovely home cooked Sunday lunch then this is the place to go. Great prawn cocktail and beautiful roast beef with great variety of veg. Real friendly service and a cracking pint . Book your table now.

Have been regular visitor to venue and have always enjoyed the experience New owner but I must say that the quality of bacon and especially the sausages are not of best quality Having said that it is a nice experience staff great coffee excellent Just hope they get better bacon and sausage Will visit again very soon

Decent food but if you live in a block of flats then avoid at all costs. Driver was arrogant, refused to come upstairs. Overall I'd recommend Aladins up the road 😀

Can't believe we waited almost 30 minutes and although the food was OK the portions were small. Not worth the wait

Arranged to meet a friend here as wanted to help local cafe. Nice to see it full but was full of cyclists who seemed to take over and dominate the cafe. We sat in the conservatory which was lovely until the cyclists kept coming in and out of the door selfishly leaving it open. Food was good, bacon and avocado on toast, eggs benedict plus 2 hot drinks. This came to £25, bit steep for breakfast, don't think I will use again.

Fantastic place to go for breakfast/lunch, food is great and they are super dog friendly, we have one reactive dog and another dog who loves everyone and everything and we always feel welcome and have great experience here. Will definitely keep going, have visited a few times and will continue to do so.

We have wanted to try this pub as we pass it often and it looks welcoming from the outside. Finally popped in yesterday for a drink and a quick snack. Never again! Bar staff were friendly but we couldn't cope with the clientele swearing. Not just 1 but several who were obviously regulars . It was so uncomfortable we took our drinks outside and left soon after.

Is this the right amount of chicken in the chicken and rice box?that cost me £7

Was turned away from another cafe at 11:10 saying they shut at 12 o'clock so takeout only. Shame for them, just told about Suzi Q's, wow. Eyes bigger than my stomach thought I would have normal breakfast, big mistake, had to leave some on my plate but what a find, best breakfast had in years, lovely food and cooked perfect, my new cafe from now on. 5 stars.

Very good food and service together with friendly staff

Cannot recommend this charming pub / restaurant highly enough. I had the best Stilton and brocolli soup I've ever had and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The owners were incredibly kind and helped me out when I got stranded in a flood.

We visit this pub regularly for food definitely our favourite. The burgers are 'really delicious and at 2 for 1 brilliant value. But our favourite meal is the outstanding Sunday roast. There are a selection of 3 meats,'you can have 1 or all 3. All the meat is cooked to perfection and comes served with a delicious selection of veg including cauliflower cheese,perfect yorkshires, roasties, stuffing and pigs in blankets. The meals are always hot and delicious.and very generous portions. Sometimes there is a wait for food but good things are definitely worth waiting for. Phil and his team are so attentive and friendly and provide great service. Can't wait for our next visit.
