The Cuttle Inn in Stratford-on-Avon

We visit this pub regularly for food definitely our favourite. The burgers are 'really delicious and at 2 for 1 brilliant value. But our favourite meal is the outstanding Sunday roast. There are a selection of 3 meats,'you can have 1 or all 3. All the meat is cooked to perfection and comes served with a delicious selection of veg including cauliflower cheese,perfect yorkshires, roasties, stuffing and pigs in blankets. The meals are always hot and delicious.and very generous portions. Sometimes there is a wait for food but good things are definitely worth waiting for. Phil and his team are so attentive and friendly and provide great service. Can't wait for our next visit.

Great location by the canal and a lovely oitdoor seating area. Service was great and the food was banging, best burger ive had in a long time!! Cant recomend enough!!

Fantastic food. All fresh produce. A bit of a wait for food by expected as we were a big table. Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. 3 babies with us but no one minded the noise. Will def be back

Most people have a favourite burger from somewhere, mine was in Sydney but the Cuttle has nipped it. Just awesome and friendly staff as always. Great all round menu.. highly recommend!

THE BEST BURGER IN THE WORLD!! Do it. You won’t regret it. The staff are wonderful as well and it’s in the most beautiful location by the canal. Shout out to lovely Austin, who is a star.

Amazing food, setting and staff. Steak was beautiful and cooked to perfection. Our son wanted something off the menu, cheese on toast and they accommodated with no problem, and tasted great. Thank you

Really tasty freshly cooked meal here with friends on a winter Saturday night. I was surprised it wasn’t busier. We had a variety of food including burger and pies followed by brownie, cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. All really tasty and a good price. We will definitely return next time we are passing on a boat

Visited the Cuttle on Pie night & we were not disappointed. Really generous portions, pie was delicious and service excellent. Would highly recommend :)

We booked at table for 7pm arrived on time. We ordered starters and a main course and drinks. After 40 minutes wait. Still no food. When I spoke to the lady behind the bar, the only comment was they had a large table of people so running slow. At this point I paid for the drinks and we left. I was very disappointed, on previous occasions while cruising through Long Ichington we eaten at the Two Boats and had excellent meals. We decided to try the Cuttle inn as it is opposite. Next time we go to the Two Boats

Nice pub, with nice food and drink and good service along with attentive staff. Added bonus that the night we was at the venue was the same as a member of the band east 17. All added to the occasion - look forward to a return visit.

Last evening went to pub for curry night . The staff & service was amazing being as pub was full for meals. The curry deal was great value & tasted great. Highly recommended won’t be long before we go back for a meal.

Our son and his partner visited yesterday and were so impressed that they told us we had to give the Cuttle Inn a try as well. They had the fish and chips and the cuttle burger and thought they were excellent value for money. We came straight from the Dentist’s!!! Both of us ordered fish and chips. The plate was hot,the fish beautifully white, the beer batter perfect and the chips plentiful. We were served by Austin and Liv, both of whom were really attentive and welcoming. Talking to some of the locals,they mentioned that the Inn has a 2 for 1 burger meal on Tuesdays and Thursday is a Curry night. They added that the beer is the best in the Village!!! We look forward to returning very soon.

Had a lovely canalside Sunday lunch here yesterday. Great location, staff were super friendly and efficient…really good roast dinners and great value for money. We were in the main garden area overlooking the canal as we had dog with us, and as there aren’t that many tables out there, it was great for her too!

Fabulous Sunday lunch out in Long Itchington. Roast beef with all the trimmings was excellent quality and very good value for money!

We have been to the cuttle number of times for food. We went Sunday 28th 2023 I asked bar staff for food menu went to set down at table to choose food for both of us and order drinks at the bar & the bar person said have you booked I said No why he asked the owner and the owner was so RUDE NO BOOKING ONLY. I asked why did you give us menus then bar staff didn't know what they were doing never mind the rude owner will not be going there again and will be telling family and friends now not to use the cuttle pub anymore very BAD SERVICE AND RUDE. So went to The two Boats Pub opposite was very friendly and welcoming food was much better and service was great

This was our first pitstop having boarded our canal boat from Kate Boats in Stockton. We stopped and moored up on the canal in front of this pub and had reasonable selection of burgers (special meal of the day) and good beers. We did get some odd looks from the locals as we were all in Pirate costumes. I guess they don't see many swashbucklers so far from the high seas. Food and beers were ok and we had a good time with a bit of man overboard training for our young cabin boy. Overall a good experience and a great canalside setting with good mooring space.

We were a party of 7 for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and the service was fine. The one surprise was the 18% service charge added to the bill. This wasn't mentioned when we booked or on the menu.

After barging down the canal we came across 2 pubs, we stopped at one and they had stopped serving, totally disappointed - we crossed the bridge to find a very warm welcome from the barmaid Lucy, she managed to rustle us up some amazing food. It was so good we returned for Sunday Lunch, again served by the amazing Lucy. This pub needs to give Lucy a pay rise, polite and a real asset to the pub. Thanks Lucy!

Visited this pub for lunch this easter Sunday as my partners mother and family live in and around Banbury.

As a fish lover I’m always keen to discover how well any food place can cook cod and chips. At the Cuttle great friendly service from everyone. Excellent fish cooked perfectly. Tartar sauce seemed home made and was great. Fair pricing. Will return.

we went to the cuttle inn for the first time on sunday 24th fed 2019 and the staff were so friendly from the minute we stepped through the door and we had sunday dinner which was absolutely beautiful , then coffee , we will definatly be going again thank you very much xx

My partner and I had a fantastic steak meal with onion rings and peppercorn sauce with Chilli Beef noodles for starters. The steak was cooked to perfection!. The Chilli Beef noodles was heavenly!. The food was delicious!!!. I have heart failure and can’t have added salt in my diet. The Cuttle chef catered to my dietary needs. The service is great at this pub and has a great friendly atmosphere. I love this pub so much that i’ve eaten here three times in a month!. I am planning to work my way through the menu. I would highly recommend having a meal here! You will not be disappointed!!

Good old fashioned pub. Ordered pan fried duck, absolutely delicious my partner had fish and chips, huge fish perfectly cooked. Quite envious. Definitely go again.

I visited with a group of friends and family on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago and had a delicious Sunday Roast.

Had food a few times at the Cuttle now and every time It seems the same, fairly simple ingredients done brilliantly. With my sandwich today the chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, exactly the right amount of lime mayonnaise was applied, with the right amount of chips and a well-dressed salad. Down to earth food perfectly executed, exactly what you want for a pub. Add this to the relaxed informal atmosphere created by the bar staff makes the Cuttle an ideal visit for those who want quality without pretentiousness

Lovely meal,very friendly staff, great food for two adults and 3 and half year old and toddler at 18 months, all food freshly made, simple and good quality

My husband loves a pie and has sampled loads over the years, so when he says that the Cuttle Inn pie is one of the best he does know what he is saying. He was a very contented man today after devouring his individual generously filled steak and mushroom pie made with a light shortcrust. I joined him with the same meal today, having seen for myself how good they are in the past, and can also give a big thumbs up. The pub has a lovely setting on the banks of the canal, opposite the Two Boats inn, and we were surprised that we happened to be the only customers this lunch time when the food is so good.

Came here for drinks on a sunny day, sat outside overlooking canal and was lovely. Staff were super helpful and offered tray for drinks. The inside of the pub looked lovely with a mix of high back leather chairs and if here longer would have come back again and possibly ate. Would recommend and would return.

My daughter's birthday and we decided to eat at this establishment as it has a large garden and we had a dog with us. Plenty of outdoor seating, well spaced out. Borders onto the canal so plenty to look at too.

Decided to stop for lunch and found we could moor against the pub garden. A good variety of choices available. The steak was excellent. Although moored in the garden, our food was delivered to us. A great spot for lunch, although a second boat tried to moor and ended up grounded and at a strange angle - note this is NOT the fault of the Cuttle Inn!

With the recent hot weather, we've been eating lunch in pub gardens every week. I have to say that The Cuttle beats them all hands down. Good food, great value, good service. I am amazed they're not packed out! I can recommend the bacon panini with chips and the lasagne. Both appeared at first to be modestly sized but in fact they were just right, I couldn't have eaten another mouthful. Delicious and very reasonable price.

Only had sandwiches, but both were lovely! We ordered beef and horseradish, and Cajun chicken . Both were very tasty and lots of filling! Sunday roasts which went out looked delicious too! Definitely will return with the family

Good pub food but definitely not fine dining. The duck noodle salad had just too much hoisin sauce which made it very salty. The fish and ham dishes were absolutely fine. Great location on the canal and the bar staff happy to deliver our meals and drinks right down to the waters edge. It's clearly a popular venue - a plea to smokers please put your butts in the ashtrays the grass was littered with them - not a pleasing sight! Currently building an accommodation block for hs2 workers so not as tranquil as expected.

I called in to this establishment yesterday Saturday for a quick bite to eat en route from Banbury to Loughborough and chose the Chicken Pie which had to be home made .

Have visited this place for many years but sadly today was such a disappointment will not be returning.... ordered 2 sausage bagettes.... sorry no bagettes...ok I will have bread then.... sorry only enough sausages for one sandwich...ok then I will have one cheese sandwich instead... waited 40 minutes for sandwiches (after having to ask what the delay was!) .... Parked out canal boat at the bottom of the garden and wandered in for dinner, a very welcoming pub with a Gin menu. We all had the cod and chips and they were excellent. Another table had huge onion rings and we wished we had ordered as a side. The men enjoyed Interesting display of motor racing photos and memorabilia. Would recommend

Visited this little place today for first time after visiting a friend on his boat, the pub is situated on the canalside and has well kept garden space alongside.

I had a superb steak and ale pie here a couple of weeks ago. Enormous portion, reasonable price. Well placed for canal boats.

Came here for a mid-week meal with friends. I didn't have particularly high expectations, however I left very pleased with the meal I'd eaten.
