The best restaurants in West Midlands

Exceptional friendly service and very attentive and accommodating. We were told that any of the meals could be adapted to suit our requirements if needed, and there is an extensive choice on the menu. The quality of the dishes that we had was exceptional and tasty. However, the only disappointing thing was when the food was delivered to the table, it was only luke warm that was both the starters and the main courses. If they food had been warmer, it would definitely have been a much nicer meal.

I was there for a wake. No diary free options marked. Had cold chips with cold chicken nuggets. My folks ate stale sandwiches. The little t lights under the food trays were dead. Almost empty ketchup and mayo bottles. It felt like they'd catered an event in the morning and just left the stuff out. Staff were nice and the place is looked after. I don't golf but the course looked lovely. Just figured if you're getting something catered there prepare to be disappointed.

An excellent pub/bar, situated at the junction of Sandon Road and Peel Terrace, in Stafford's prestigious North End quarter. To be highly recommended by me. Used to be called THE COTTAGE BY THE BROOK -- when The Lord Mayor's Pageant gold coach stopped off there during its pageant itinerary for some choice libations at the bar for all the well-dressed dignitaries.

Food was missing chicken wings. And other food was freezing cold.

Excellent food! The chicken is delicious. The oversized mozzarella stick is amazing! Definitely for sharing! Tasty cocktails and the chicken strips were perfect. If you’re in town - check them out! Also - if you’re a Godzilla fan there’s a cool Godzilla toy on the wall (that I want!)

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Friendly team, works well around any dietary requirements, and the food is cooked to perfection! Wanted to visit for years and was well worth the wait!

We went to The Fieldhouse for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint.. the food was delicious and the service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The portion sizes were impressive, and we were given two huge plates (to share between four of us) of extra potatoes and vegetables on the side to help ourselves to as well. Overall it was an amazing meal and we will definitely be back again 😍

Meal for six ordered for delivery to our canal mooring at the Bird in hand. We are not from these parts but we all thought the food was some of the best we have had, we all enjoyed a very mixed selection with plenty of sauce and big chunks of meat. Recommended 👍

Seven of us (and a whippet) had an excellent lunch today in the bar area. We had a selection of dishes between us - I had the faggots which were lovely. Great sweets enjoyed by four of us. The owner and staff were very welcoming and delivered first class friendly service. Thoroughly recommend.
