Fish & Chips are excellent. The Pizza is amazing .. Highly recommend a visit. Shop very clean & the staff very friendly I wouldn't go anywhere else

Don't go for already cooked fish, and don't ask for lots of salt n vinegar, they ended up totally over salting the fish so much it was in edible. Cheesey chips ok, but some chips were hard on the middle i.e. undercooked. This place is a kebab shop (as they have a few variations) not a quality chippy in my opinion

Food was cold and delivered over an hour after ordering. Chips were hard and not cooked right, and no sauces were delivered although we ordered them. Food very greasy. Disappointed

I’ve enjoyed food in the past here but after someone recommended I come here more we tried it twice and it was very poor on both occasions. The first time I had a kebab and felt quite sick for a while, greasy and not freshly made. I don’t understand the hype here, prefer Fish Plus at Bilton.

Ordered a kebab and chips Friday night. Chips were warm and kebab was really tough. Woke up Saturday morning at 3am with food poisoning. Will not be eating there again

The best chipshop in Rugby, without question. I travel 5miles to the other side of town to go here, with plenty of others on my doorstep. Fish with no batter, fried on request, always perfect, chips always well cooked with plenty of colour, friendly polite team too 🤌👌 Some of the biggest kebabs you'll ever see too 😲🤤😃

Been going here for a few years, always been good quality - unfortunately, today chips were dry & felt they had been sat around all day. Fish wasn’t as good as normal, disappointing- won’t be going back.

Shocking ordered at 7.30 to which they did not delivered. Delivered the wrong food then closed. This not first time this happened if you offer a service deliver it. Leaving 4 of us without food. I will be taking this up with managers directly.

The food is excellent, good value and is always tasty, my only complaint is: there have been multiple times when I arrived later at night, about half an hour before their stated closing time to find it had closed for the night a long time before.

From Spain not used to having fish n chips so a treat. So much choice in there and different size portions. Staff were very friendly and obviously love their job. Second time iv been in now whilst in Rugby.

Just bought a large fish & chips. Normally go in later in the day & the food is generally very good. Clearly went in too early as the chips are a reheat from the last service. Not good and I’m too angry to travel the 2.5 miles to complain. Won’t use them again.

Slow service and food not very good, had 3 pizzas costing £36 was left waiting as not ready when I arrived and then people who ordered pizza after me got there’s first. When I questioned this nobody could reason why. Would not recommend the place as overpriced and tasteless food

First time trying a pizza from Waves! Best pizza in Rugby and half the price of anywhere else. Will be back.

My partner has just picked up our chippy tea, unfortunately the mini fish and chips were really greasey and chips undercooked, I couldnt eat the fish as the batter was mushey and unappealing. The battered sausage and fish cake were great.

Usually pretty good, but had undercooked chips on a Tuesday night. Overcooked dry fish with dark batter. Also forgot the tartare sauce. Had chips missing on another order and told to come and collect or ask for some fre another time, not really the point when you are asking for delivery.

Very quick delivery and decent prices, but poor quality food. Everything was greasy (burger, kebab, chips, chicken bites), and a bit flavourless.. Unfortunately, I do not recommend.

Fish and chips are great, big helpings, fresh and very tasty. But on a Friday evening you will spend a ling time waiting in a queue..

Wow disgusted dry rotten and bitty potatoes..would nt recommend unless you want a dodgy stomache,fishy smells on sausagues and kebab meat nt been cooked thouroughly,that breeds ecoli...its lamb and needs to be cooked in full.....

The best food around the area when it comes to fish and chips. A little disappointed that they now seem to prioritise Uber orders and telephone orders over people stood in the queue in the shop…..had to leave and go to the one in Bilton as was fed up of the wait…..Sad times…

Food is always cooked fresh. Generous on portions ie, a mini fish and chips is like a normal size. All foods there taste great. Best chippy and good value for money. Good customer service. Thank you.

Foods is ok to be honest, the only down side is I have visited a few times and 50% of the time there are things missing. When you complain they either don’t understand you or just say we will give it next time which doesn’t help when A you’ve already paid and B your sat at home with half of your food. It’s like roulette whether you will get what you ordered or not 😂

Sadly it's no longer as nice as it used to be. My husband and I we were ill twice after ordering our food from Waves.

We usually love waves but tonight the fish and chips were so greasy that the paper was soaked through and there was a pool of oil in the blue bag. I was missing 3 curry sauces which were supposed to be with the meals and one of the chicken pieces had blood in it. Not impressed!

What can I say was a loyal customer ordered food to be delivered very poor attitude when contacted on phone was told to contact just eat not bothered out pocket avoid refuse to resolve this

Cod today was perfection, best bit of fish we've eaten for a long while. Cooked fresh and definitely worth the wait. Manager and staff extremely polite like they wanted our trade. We'll be back for sure

Really great fish and chips! Very generous portions. The fish was wonderfully fresh, which is rare these days. The chips are proper hand cut chips, from proper potatoes (not the frozen types). Friendly service too! We will definitely come back. I was going to take some photos but it all got polished off before I could say “let me take some photos”!

Waves has been my usual go to for gluten free fish and chips due to having Coeliac Disease. I've never become ill from having the fish and chips, until yesterday. I spend 3 hours throwing up my purchased fish and chips along with the 30 mins of waiting for my order. I feel so unwell today that I can't do my daily tasks and activities. I've had to rope in childcare to help recover! I appreciate it was a Friday and it was very busy but there's no excuses for avoiding care when preparing food for an intolerance or an allergy. Unfortunately this is a bitter sweet review as I won't be coming back and purchasing again as I cannot afford to have this happen again! I would like answers to what happened. Are you using contaminated oil cooking gluten free items when your overly busy? Did you forget it was gluten free? Was the wrong item packed? You need to take extra care with any allergies and intolerance in this day and age as people live to avoid these for reasons because they get very unwell or the fact it can kill them! To any allergy suffer or if your intolerant please bare this review in mind when ordering!

Excellent quality food and typically great service. They are usually pretty busy but given the quality of the food and personable staff you don’t mind the wait. :)

Friends came over last night for "Fish and Fizz", and one of the girls offered to grab some food on the way over...this is not our usual chippy so I wasn't sure what it would be like... Well it was delicious! The chips were like no other I've tasted, very pale in colour with a delicious but light taste! We had a calamari between us which were massive and surprisingly tasty and non chewy Fish was very yummy too The veggies had fake fish with halloumi which was also nice Huge portions! Will definitely go again...I was so excited I didn't get any photos so will order again to rectify my reviewing error very soon :-)

Best chip shop in town. Super friendly staff that always seem to remember you, even when busy. Not tried the whole menu, but can vouch for the amazing fresh wood oven baked pizzas and fish and chips cooked to order.
