We celebrated our Engagement here with 50 of our family and friends! Jane was so accommodating from the moment of enquiry and ensured the evening ran smoothly. The food was amazing, Jane and her team worked so hard to serve all 50 of us at the same time. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We had the perfect evening 🥰

The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Alan (the owner) is great. The food is really nice. Would suggest eating in as the food is best served fresh. However, sometimes portions can be a bit small. Nonetheless, highly recommended.

Staff are confrontational when they mess up the order. On the mixed doner there is hardly any meat. 'Waves' is better, more value for your money.

We are longstanding customers of Bharat and The Lion before it and visited recently with friends, it was the first time since Raj left. Unfortunately the food was disappointing and so was the service. Gone are the friendly staff; one of the waiters didn’t even understand us let alone chat to us. Barat was always a treat because it was a bit on the pricey side but it was always very good. We probably won’t go back now after 25+ years.

Great little family-run restaurant. Tasty food at a decent price. I’ve been there three times now and it hasn’t let me down yet.

Visited for lunch a number of times and every time the food and the experience has been excellent. Favourite dishes are fish and chips and the chicken and bacon salad, you can’t beat them for taste and value. Will always go here when in Oswestry, great place.

Friendly welcoming pub good staff

The food was excellent and the restaurant was nice and warm when we walked in, it was quite a cool evening so this was appreciated. Thoroughly enjoy our evening and would highly recommend.

What a brilliant set-up! Friendly staff, chefs working calmly in full view and epic food! We can’t recall a better breakfast.
