Was hesitant to come here however it was really lovely. The food was stunning really hot and tasty. The veg could do with a little more cooking. They were a bit hard but they were still tasty. The waiters and waitresses were very lovely and helpful. Love the decor and the ambience. So overall a lovely evening with lovely friends highly recommended.

Amazing food. Lovely staff. I am gluten free and menu is really easy to pick GF choices without having to ask loads of questions. All clearly marked. Food was amazing and reasonable priced. Would defo visit again. Really lovely evening

When I last wrote about Simply Thai they were based in Widemarsh Street and my complaint was that the place was like a sauna. The food and service were however good. Be careful what you wish for! They have now moved to a barn of a place which was really cold and virtually empty (even on a Thursday evening). Service was less friendly and personal than our last visit but more importantly the food was not very good. Virtually raw veg, no Thai Holy basil and food lacked flavour and was simply chilli hot!

Situated on a side street close to the centre but away from the hustle and bustle. We called in the afternoon to book and were offered a table for 2 hours. It’s a small place that is family run. Superb food with very quick and efficient service. Very friendly staff. Every dish was fresh and full of flavour. Lots of vegetarian options too.

Excellent food and really friendly great service. Would definitely go again if we lived locally. If you like Thai food then this is a must.

I have travelled extensively and eaten at at Thai restaurants all over the uk as-well as Thailand , this food takes you back to sitting on the beach in Koh Samui, best Thai food I ever tasted.....,, Thankyou xx

Visited yesterday for the first time and had a great meal.The service was excellent, the young lady really helped to make it a great dining experience.I now know my first Thai word.Chang means elephant Chang beer is also really good, and served in a quite wonderful glass.The food was superb and the presentation excellent.We had a really enjoyable time and the food was very reasonably priced as well.Will certainly be returning to try more of their extensive Thai menu.

Best Thai food we've ever had. Satay chicken 10/10 Prawn tempura 10/10 Can't fault, reasonapy priced aswell. Nice atmosphere.

On a Tuesday night, there isn't too much choice in Hereford, and after visiting a big pub where the welcome was pretty shabby, we found this little Thai place and got the last table. We weren't disappointed. Food was good and the service was efficient. Recommend the red curry and the pad Thai was very acceptable too. Slightly quirky decor!

This simple, unassuming restaurant is well worth a visit We booked for Monday night when most of Hereford is closed and for most of the time had the place to ourselves. We were greeted by a very friendly girl who took our order. I was seriously impressed with the quality and freshness of the dishes.This place has had many excellent reviews and they are fully justified. Good food,pleasant service ,fair prices ;it deserves to succeed.

Over priced but ok. We visited on a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of free tables although booking was required. Food was ok, a little expensive and not great portion sizes. Wine also over priced. Service was friendly.

I had never eaten Thai food before so I thought I would try this lovely looking restaurant. I am so glad I did. Gorgeous food, lovely waitress/manager, lovely atmosphere.

In the city for the day, I made the short walk from the main shopping area over the A438 as I'd read good reviews of this small establishment. I do very much like Thai food, and was not disappointed with an excellent value fishcake starter with tasty chilli and peanut dipping sauce, and a lovely chicken massaman curry with sticky rice. Pleasant staff and an enjoyable lunchtime meal.

Very quiet on a wet Wednesday lunchtime, but very welcoming. An excellent set menu, with an interesting range of starters and many Thai classics to choose for mains. All fresh cooked and very tasty. Our first visit, but probably not our last.

If I lived in Hereford you would not be able to keep me away from here. Lovely flavours to the food , very reasonably priced and such friendly people. Simple in its decor and not many tables I suspect they do more in take away than sit in but either way the food merits it !!

Very pleasant surprise.Small,clean,friendly and simple.Food was authentic, fresh and tasty. Including a small tip we paid £35.00 for four dishes.For the money the dishes could afford to be a bit more generous in portion size but on the whole a very nice meal.Will call in again to try some different dishes.

We visited Hereford for the weekend and discovered Simply Thai. The people working there were so welcoming... and the food (Jungle Curry) was Simply Amazing

had several meals from here, with the Covid virus making only take away possible. the food is extremely tasty,good quantity ,and very friendly staff.

Another excellent meal here. We were meant to be going to the Sushi restaurant nearby, but they informed us that we will have to vacate our table in a little over an hour. luckily, SimplyThai provided a table for us, and we had a superb meal at our leisure over two and a bit hours.Superb dim sum followed by a spicy seafood curry with noodles and a lovely stick rice and sweet paste dessert for me. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals, all served beautifully by a friendly and efficient waitress.Highly recommended.

Given the dearth of good Chinese restaurants near Hereford we tried Simply Thai and were not disappointed. There are the popular Thai dishes on the menu and several Chinese for those that prefer to stick to their favourites (like one of our friends). Freshly cooked and delicately spiced, ample portions without being too big to finish. Prompt and friendly service, recommend booking as tables are limited. Looking forward to a return visit.

Haven’t eaten here for awhile since the new owners took over as the food wasn’t what it used to be but thought we’d give it a try again see if it had improved but it was awful.We had 3 dishes and all of them were not nice, bland in flavour with under cooked vegetables and only 2 pieces of tofu per dish. Even the rice was over cooked and stodgy.I can only assume all the positive reviews are from people who haven’t eaten much ‘proper’ Thai food which does seem difficult to come across in this country.Such a shame as the lady who owns it is lovely but they need a decent chef, the old chef was amazing.Unless you like bland ‘chinesey’ Thai food avoid this place

Had a beautiful meal at Simply Thai, fab flavours and service. Lovely lady who served us (and sang) highly recommend. Duck Pad Thai was amazing.

We enjoyed a tasty meal here, and service was both incredibly quick and exceptionally polite. The ambience is very relaxed - more like a cafe than a restaurant.

My family and I chose this beautiful Thai restaurant to collect a takeaway from for my birthday supper, due to having never been disappointed with the food or service in the past. Again when collecting, the staff were extremely gracious and polite. The food we ordered was superb. I will always return to this superb restaurant because it is just wonderful. They are always prompt with bringing it from the kitchen too. If they tell you forty minutes -that is when it is ready.

Having been here for an evening meal some time, decided to give it a go for lunch.They do a smaller special menu with just a few choices of starter and soup, but a good range of main courses which can be taken as pork or chicken, or beef or prawn at a slightly higher price, with duck also an option at an extra cost on some of the dishes.The fish cakes as a starter were OK, but not spectacular. The mains were glorious: possibly a little smaller than the evening dishes, but no bad thing for all that. The cups of tea were excellent - fresh loose leaf teas.Cost was excellent: two lots of two courses with a cup of tea each all for £24.

Fancying something hot and fresh, Simply Thai looked like a good option and proved to be an excellent choice particularly as one of my friends is Thai and wanted the genuine article. This small restaurant/café didn’t disappoint. We arrived close to their 3pm afternoon closing time but were able to enjoy starters and mains with authentic food and drink. There was some special consideration given to us due to the Thai member of our group but we felt every guest would be afforded kind attention and good service. The food was delicious and tasted fresh and nutritious with suitable spices and good flavours. Excellent value and a great alternative to more expensive Hereford cafes

Having read good reviews expectations were high.However all presented dishes were not only rather small but also of moderate quality.

AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, PERFECT! I cannot sum this place up in one word as its just stunning! We arrived in Hereford on Friday afternoon and thought we would pop in to eat her in the evening. Its only a small place and it was super busy (i now know why)! We are gutted. However we tried our luck on Saturday evening (as they don't take bookings on weekends) and they had a free table. They even thanked us for returning. The waitresses were polite, well mannered and friendly. Food was fresh and just perfection. I wish we didnt live so far away as there is no doubt we would be here at least once a month. Thank you

Whilst visiting Hereford recently, we decided to have a meal at Simply Thai Kitchen and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there is a delightful menu - so much to choose from! Along with a very reasonably priced drinks menu. We had a delicious meal!

When we are in a Hereford, we always pop in here for lunch. Service is very good. Food excellent and tasty. Reasonably priced.

Visiting Hereford for a few days and decided to book as we like Thai food. The service was excellent and the food was extremely tasty. Well worth a visit. Great atmosphere. Will definitely eat here again when I’m next in the area.

This restaurant never disappoints - the staff are lovely, very friendly and always have time to explain the dishes in detail. The food is superb, genuine Thai, nice and spicy with loads of flavour. Certainly one of the best places to eat in Hereford - a little gem!

We came on a Sunday evening and greeted by a very polite Thai lady. Service was fast considering that everything was cooked fresh when ordered. We had 3 starters, 3 mains, 2 sides, and 2 drinks and the bill was less than £50. House water was also served with lemon and ice which was a nice touch and had complimentary sweets too. Definitely worth a try when visiting Hereford

As a group of friends, we have eaten at the Simply Thai Kitchen at least six times over the last three years. When we discuss where to eat in Hereford, and there is plenty to choose from, we end up back at Simply Thai.

Thai is definitely my favourite genre of food and this little restaurant was ok, but did not blow me away. The tempura vegetables were disappointing, small portion and odd combinations, the mains were fine, but just that....fine. The service was good though, so would maybe give it another try.

I can only agree with a previous comment; this food is average at best. The mains, five of us shared four dishes, two stir fries,noodles, a curry plus vegetables and rice, were all pretty tasteless,and tasting very similar to each other. There was no discernible depth of flavour and certainly no Thai flavour to the food. This was very disappointing , and whilst service was welcoming and friendly the food left a lot to be desired.

I think the chef must have changed since the last reviews. We ordered three different mains, all were very similar and not Thai at all (e.g. the chicken stir fried with holy basil had no basil in it, and the jungle curry tasted like a spice mix - very hot but no flavour). The rice was nice (but microwaved) and the starters were pretty good. The Thai staff were lovely - I feel a bit sorry for them as whoever is cooking has no idea what Thai food is.

I have eaten at Simply Thai on many occasions and I can't fault it. I have tried so many meals off the menu and everyone of them has been lovely. The staff are really helpful in telling you about the dish you are interested in, how spicy or what would go best with it. The staff make you feel very welcome at all times. The prices are good and the place is always clean and tidy.

Met up with friends for a birthday celebration. The food was lovely and very tasty. The decor is nice and welcoming.

This is our second visit to this restaurant (we travel up from Abergavenny) and the food was again superb..... We had the duck to start then chicken penang (very spicy) and noodle soup for main. Could not fault a thing....

I love this little restaurant. Although it was a very busy lunch time with a large table of a dozen people our service was still quick and efficient by the lovely Monteiro who is so very gentle calm and always gives her oriental palm together bow. Although after an accident I had not been for some weeks she still remembered my regular choices. Great service and always fresh delicious food. Thank you.

I have ordered takeaway many times from this establishment and have been pleased with the food. However on this occasion we had a very bad experience...I asked for sweet and sour chicken and a green curry for collection. The green curry was the same as usual but unfortunately what came in place of the sweet and sour was a very spicy chilli dish. My mother in laws doesn’t eat spicy food so was unable to eat it..When I phoned the lady just to tell her of the mistake, it was too late in the end to go and collect another dish, but we didn’t have the meal we had paid for so felt we needed to flag it so to speak. I got a very aggressive response and was shouted at down the phone repeatedly, she said she gave a number to it, but I didn’t have any numbers in front of me and just asked for two well known dishes that were on the menu. The lady made no attempt to apologise, only blaming me for the mistake and also shouting down the phone in an aggressive manner that I could do without being 9 months pregnant! We will not eat there again as the customer service is shocking and there is no attempt to please the customer or make their experience a good one which is a shame!

Had lunch with my wife today, never been or even seen the restaurant before, very clean, nicely laid out, service excellent. The food was very very very nice, had good Thai and bad Thai meals before, this was GOOD, starters and main courses excellent, we will be back.

A small restaurant with only 9 tables. Attentive service and very friendly, the staff were excellent (5 star!). Had satay chicken to start which was lovely. Jungle curry with sticky rice for main. The curry was too hot for me (I’ve had it elsewhere and it had heat with taste), but I was warned, it was nice, bu5 would choose something different next time.

My friends and I have been to Simply Thai kitchen several times, the service is always helpful and pleasant, the food is excellent.

We visited early on a Sunday evening and the place was busy with 5 or 6 tables in, which I think was "out of the norm" as the staff were struggling to keep up.

We visited this bustling little Thai restaurant after reading positive reviews and were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was tasty and it was reasonably priced. If you're in the mood for Thai we would definitely recommend it.

What’s lovely little restaurant this is!

We love Thai food and have been to many Thai restaurants. This one is good but not outstanding. The golden parcels were better than some places, the cashew stir fry was excellent, but the green curry was mediocre. However, the service was friendly and good, the decor pleasant and the food arrived quickly.

Not our first visit. The quality of service could not be better. Em is so welcoming and makes the visit special. The quality of food is amazing. This is a must visit for anyone wanting delicious Thai food.

My partner and I visited on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant was full and the staff very busy but they were still exceptional and made us feel welcomed. We ordered the set meal and it was lovely; all dishes were delicious and very generous! The wine was also very nice and at a lower price than you would usually see in a restaurant!

My friend and I had lunch here before going to the cinema today. We had spring rolls for starters which were way overcooked. I had Thai green chicken curry which was a bright yellow watery concoction with anaemic chicken pieces which had absolutely no flavour other than a bitter aftertaste. My friend had a stir fry which she said was tasteless. Even my latte coffee was virtually cold and basically mostly froth. Disgusting meal, will never go there again ever.

I was very surprised to find how tasty, good quality and great atmosphere at incredibly good value. Will return again.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival, and then oresented with a very good menu covering a variety of dishes including an unusual soecials section. Food was all freshly prepared and presented very well. Service was friendly, unintrusive yet efficient and very friendly. The quality of the food and its authentisity was excellent.

Researched prior to a long weekend in Hereford, liked and booked as a Saturday night. Attracted by the small size and other reviews. Not disappointed. Came here for a pre-cinema dinner, located very conveniently opposite Garrick multi story and around the corner from the entertainment complex.

Have been coming here over the years and found the food consistently good, fresh and flavoursome. Service is always courteous and friendly. Great value for money!

It was a busy Saturday evening and we simply walked pas , looked at the menu and went in. By chance they had a table for two free - the rest the restaurant seemed pretty full. Service was excellent and the food was also superb.

I visited this small Thai restaurant with family on Saturday evening. We were quickly shown to our seats. Drinks choices were taken prior to ordering our food. There is a great choice of food to select from. Although I would like to mention service was quite disorganised! Meals coming out at separate intervals. This hasn’t put me off going again.

Visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration with my family and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of food and the attention of the staff. The restaurant is simple but the food was delicious. The tempura prawns are delicious as is the massaman curry. Very reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Will definitely visit again

A small, simple restaurant providing a limited menu of well cooked Thai meals. Very friendly, obliging staff who provide a very pleasing atmosphere and food advice for first time customers. Meals are well cooked and well presented. I suspect that this is a family operation providing a pleasing and pleasant evening.

We visited based on reviews and were not disappointed. We both love Thai food and this was right up there with the best we've had. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and we really appreciated being asked how spicy we'd like our salad and curries. My partner is blind, and he was particularly impressed with the way his needs were met, including being told without fuss where things were being put on the table. They were also really welcoming of his guide dog. All in all a fantastic place to eat, with delicious food and brilliant service. Highly recommended.

Says something when you enter and you don't even have to give your order as they know it off by heart. It's our weekly treat and we really look forward to it despite the 45 mile round trip. Thai is our favourite cuisine and we have eaten it everywhere, including all over Thailand. This place is by far the best. Their Thai fishcakes are the best ever, fantastically spiced always cooked to perfection. Their chilli sea bass is so tasty. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
