Delicious food, great value. Get take away if you can't get a table!

This is, sadly, a very mixed review. The food, when it eventually arrived, was really good, but we did take exception to being subjected to staff training. The 1st 25 minutes of our stay saw us waiting for the waiter to bring menus, then waiting for order to be taken, then finishing our glass of wine before the food order taken. 15 minutes after that, the waiter came back to say he had LOST our order and could he take it again. He was really very sweet but he needed some help and supervision. Experienced staff eventually arrived and we finally got our starter after being in the place for about 45 minutes. Another long wait for the main course. We were offered a free drink because of our wait and did have profuse apologies from the owner/chef. As I said, the food was really good, they just need to not inflict training or long take-away queues on people who are paying more to eat in. Don't go on Friday night and understand that "medium" chili means really, immediate hiccups, hot!

We had a lovely evening, and particularly recommend the pad thai! My partner is coeliac and they had plenty of gluten free options which was great to find.

The BEST THAI food I have ever eaten since leaving Thailand! Highly recommend this place, lovely Thai chef cooking authentic Thai food that honestly is exactly the same as we had in Thailand 🇹🇭- we costed on a very busy night and all food was cooked fresh to order and tasted delicious. We had the Pad Kee Mao and stir fried with chilli garlic and basil and omg it was crazy good 🎉🎉

The food was just amazing. Best spring roll I ever had in my life. And the pad Thai was just delicious. The waitress was also very friendly and competent.

Lovey little spot in kington town center, REALLY great food.. my curry had a deep rich base that diddnt rely on coconut milk.. I could drink by the ltr!! The egg fried rice was light and gently sticky deliciously balanced with a very lightly fried egg not overly seasoned either. 10/10 It's a shame the locals can't close the door when collecting food but that says more about kington than Thai Kitchen.. Fantastic food but keep your coat on

Ordered a takeaway, came to collect it and the restaurant was very busy (a sure sign of how good it is). Got the food home and it was excellent, I would definitely recommend.

Stopped here whilst walking the Offa’s Dyke. Good food, good portion size, good price and friendly staff. I recommend the cashew stir fry! 🙂

Do not stay here. Access through small restaurant kitchen. Pub next door and beer garden rowdy till after 1 am. Not worth the extortionate price per night, despite the fact room was adequate. Exit from premises next morning was via a building site, piled up rubbish bags, rusting vans with foliage growing out of engine bay, and broken washing machines repository. Not a beautiful part of Wales at all.

Very nice Thai restaurant. Simple decor but it is all about the food and it tastes like genuine Thai food. Nicely flavored and, honest prices and friendly staff. Recommended.

Had a wonderful meal here last night. Every dish we ordered was fantastic! Staff very friendly. A perfect find during our Offas Dyke trail walk. We'll be back!

We had a delicious Thai takeaway. It was very fresh and authentic, home cooked Thai food. I have a soy allergy and they were very accommodating and cooked it without soy sauce. We had a red curry, a green curry and Thai chicken salad. All delicious!

We’ve had a few takeaways from this place and it’s top notch! Tastes really fresh using clearly great ingredients and friendly staff. What a gem for Kington Open Weds through to Saturday. Not sure why I’m leaving a review as I don’t want them to get too busy because the other thing is so far (I order early), I’ve never had to wait more than 15 mins to pick up!!

Visiting Kington for the weekend and we ate here last night, having just noticed it by chance. I cannot recommend it enough. The food was excellent - simple but beautiful presentation, tasty and fresh, and obviously prepared with a lot of care and attention to detail. I had prawn tempura to start then chicken phad thai, and my partner had chicken green curry. All were delicious and modest portions that were just right. The service was also excellent. Friendly and thoughtful staff. We felt very well looked after. Will definitely eat here again.

This cosy little place hugely exceeded our expectations for the small, sleepy town of Kington. Lovely family run restaurant - such delicious, genuine Thai food and a warm welcome! We were walking Offa's Dyke and in desperate need of something other than (admittedly tasty) pub grub and chips - this really hit the spot. Reminded me and my partner of our travels to Thailand (tom yam and laab on a menu are always a hit)... and wasn't too blow-your-head-off spicy for my dad, who hadn't explored much Thai food before. Well worth venturing beyond the standard pad Thai, red/green curries and spring rolls (although we're sure these are also delicious). Would highly recommend - we will be back!

Discovered this new restaurant on our way to the chip shop. It looked really good with a good menu choice and fair pricing for Thai cuisine. Will be good to try sometime in the future.
