Had a fantastic stay here at the very end of March. Lovely boutique type of hotel. Owners and staff so friendly and helpful. Changed one of our rooms to a more suitable one after we arrived with no problem at all. Our evening meal was really special and delicious as was breakfast in the morning. Great unique building in a great location. Will definitely be going back. Lovely cocktails too
After recommendations from a friend our party was very excited to go to this restaurant.
The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly the food was very good.
Unfortunately the owner did not seem very inviting?
My friend ordered a water as she was a designated driver which was received by an eye roll, by the manager.
Upon paying we were told that 1 party member did not arrive so we would need to pay the bill for this but the owner would wave this if we left a tip for the floor staff, we chose to pay the meal and was abruptly told that we had not also left a tip, because the staff has worked very hard.
One of the floor staff spilled a tray of food over another friend which was mortifying for the waitress bless her we understand it was an accident. (this did stain our friends white jacket) but the manager did not address this or apologise at the end of the evening.
To summarise:
*Waiting Staff friendly and did work hard
*Food nice
*Vegan option not great I would not say *vegan friendly, but humous and bread was lovely.
*Manager brought the atmosphere down and made us feel unwelcome. For this reason I would not return unfortunately.

Recently moved to local area. This restaurant came recomended. My 1st encounter, I ‘had’ a ribeye steak. The thinnest/ fattiest steak I’ve ever been served in a restaurant! Benefit of the doubt (I always give a place a 2nd chance)
I had some family come to stay so thought would try again ( not having the steak ☹️). I had the belly pork, it was yummy, however, my daughter in law ordered the ribeye (big miss stake. Thin, fatty and leaking blood/ juices. Over half the steak was left. When asked was all ok I said no, pointed out the steak. The waitress said I will inform the chef! I was presented with the full bill. Needless to say I won’t be going back and speaking to the ‘locals’ some have been here 30 years, they say things have changed lately….. yep, the cost of living.
Cowboy burger was lovely however same can't be said for the fish and chips my partner had for £12.99. It certainly looked nothing like the beer battered fish on the menu it was more like a cheap Iceland frozen fillet. We had better last week in Wetherspoons for £7 and that included a drink
We love coming here after the gym for a post workout refresher, the menu is very varied and we are slowly working our way through all the different bubble teas. The waffles are also very tasty
The vine Blackheath is a proper boozer. If you're a decent person, a warm welcome awaits you, and you will come back again. If you're not, you will not be served. Which is why it's full of good people. Respect to Nicky and Gee. And just to update, it's still the best boozer in blackheath. I know this as I were there just now. Love and respect, Big Andy. Updated Sunday the 7th of July in the year 2024. Still stand by the above statement on this day 10/04/2025. Cobs are five star

It is an excellent spot for anyone craving authentic Indian food in a relaxed pub setting. As a Google Local Guide, I always look for places that offer real flavors and a great experience — and Nelson Pub delivers on both.
We tried the Chole Bhature, Honey Chilli Potato, and Mango Lassi. The Chole Bhature was freshly made, with fluffy bhature and richly spiced chole. The Honey Chilli Potato was perfectly crispy with a sweet and spicy kick, and the Mango Lassi was thick, fresh, and full of flavor — just like you’d find in India.
The pub has both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great choice whether you’re visiting on a sunny day or looking for a cozy meal indoors. There’s also a dedicated parking lot, which is very convenient for a stress-free visit. Payment is easy — they accept both cash and card.
Nelson Pub is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Warwick. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area, this place brings the vibrant flavors of India right to Warwickshire. Highly recommend!

We had for parties, It was for my moms 80th in June 2024 and my 40th January 2025.
We both had an amazing time. The DJ's at both events were brilliant and played the track list we would like after sending 1 to him.
The buffet food was tasty and it catered for all dietry needs. The drinks were reasonably priced and great value for money. The staff were lovely and kept us informed of times we would like for speech and buffet food etc. We had a fantastic time at both events. Hope to book again in the future.
Thank you.

Long established business. Really good fish and chips. They do other things. Pies, sausage, meat (kabab?), sauces etc. Owners and staff cheerful and polite. Clean. Can park on street.
Lovely hidden 5*pub&bbq restaurant. Dog Friendly 🐾 which sold it for me, my little shitzu loved the staf. So friendly and the food was amazing, truly a hidden gem. Bring your pets, kids, family. Book your table in advance or party bookings. Promise you, you will not regret this place.
Thank you to the chef, staff & Management especially 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lovely local pub. They allowed people to order food in because they don’t offer food themselves. So we ordered from the restaurant next door.
Barmaid really knew her stuff. She recommended tasty ciders and combos. She has lots of knowledge on local ales and ciders.
Live music most nights.
Very lovely and friendly vibe. Best that we found in the centre so far.
