Absolute disgrace of a dive! Allowing a young teenage mum on her first evening away from her child relaxing and socialising with her friends to get assaulted and not calling the police or helping out in any way whatsoever? Making her defend herself against her assailant herself when shes never in her life encountered such an event? What sort of place are you?? 😷 It used to be a bad place when I was young and clearly hasn't changed one bit! I would highly recommend elephant and Castle instead for a quiet evening socialising with friends! Just my 2c!

Too much trouble in this place. Don't go out here unless you're prepared to fight or have to call police!

We ordered many times when they first opened and at that time it was one of the best. Now the taste has deteriorated significantly. The chapati was so soft previously, not it's like cardboard. The paneer sabji has also lost it's charm. The complimentary Desert (sheera) was average as well. Need to up their game again. Looking forward to them improving as they have great potential based on my previous experience.

The restaurant, Nelson, is highly recommended for its delicious curry and vegetarian starters. I recently had a takeaway from there and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. In fact, it was so good that I booked a table for a group of 6 people last week and we all had a wonderful experience. The new owner has definitely lived up to our expectations and we will be recommending this place to all our friends. Not only is the food worth the money, but the portions are also generous, making it a great value for money. Overall, I am extremely happy with the new owner and the quality of food at Nelson.

Great pub with a good atmoshpere and a pool table. The food is amazing, with an excellent selection of curries with a lot of vegan options! Good prices with really nice, authentic food.

I never thought I would get Honey Chilli Potatoes and Hot and Sour Soup in this country. You reminded me of the Indian taste which is normally missing with restaurants.

Absolutely revolting. I ordered a butter chicken and chicken korma. Both turned up late being the complete wrong order! Didn’t taste anything like a korma or butter chicken it was spicy. Ended up throwing it all in the bin as it was extremely oily and un edible. I reported this issue and didn’t get a refund very upset.

Courier wouldn’t.t deliver until I gave him a code.As no code was sent this led to a stand off and my meal went cold This is very poor service

Enjoyed an excellent meal (Rasam Soup followed by Amritsari Cholle Bhature With Rice), having only ever previously stopped by for a drink after cycling. Really enjoyed being able to sit outside to eat authentic Indian food. Drinks are really good value too. The staff were lovely and welcoming, although you can tell they are still finding their feet, especially given it was pretty busy as it was a Friday night! There was live music inside the pub too. Will definitely be back to try more of the delicious food!

Bar staff friendly drinks are inexpensive compared to other pubs in the area, and the food was delicious. If you're looking for a friendly local or a place to have a meal, then I would highly recommend.

I love this place. Large group of us from Birmingham had tickets to see Craig David at Warwick Castle, which clashed with England match in Euro's. Needed a venue that could accommodate us to eat, drink, watch football and be close enough to Castle. The team at The Nelson were great on email and phone and were very happy to have us, lovely warm welcome. We loved it that much, that we returned there straight after concert for more food & drinks. Keep up the great work! And we'll see you soon!

Noodles( Chowmein ) have this great Indian-Chinese mix, and the Dal Makhni is super creamy and flavorful. The place is cozy, and the staff are really friendly. Definitely check it out if you're into tasty Indian food.

We had a group meal last night and the food was excellent .

Not been here for many years and went with friend's on Tuesday as we had heard about the new menu and had been recommended. We were not disappointed we had excellent service and the food was also excellent. We were made very welcome. As we live only round the corner will be visiting again very soon for a curry and maybe just a drink.

Visited yesterday with my friends and family. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the Gobi Manchurian and the noodles – both dishes were exceptional. The service was good, with attentive and friendly staff making our visit enjoyable. The owners have clearly taken great care to keep the place neat and tidy, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience. We'll definitely be coming back!

My favourite pub!!! Very family friendly. Love going here with my partner and daughter for a couple of drinks and on Sundays we enjoy the best roast in Warwick (£10 and it’s massive). The owners are lovely and put a lot of effort into pleasing their customers. The garden is perfect for some summer drinks. Last year they had different food vans each weekend serving great food. We’re looking forward to spending lots of days in the garden here over the summer.

food was delivered nearly two and a half hours after the order was accepted. tried calling several times noone answered the phone. delivery driver told me they stopped taking orders after mine, which as I had to get the phone number, I had checked. they were still taking orders an hour after I had put my order in with still a 45-60 minutes delivery time. all that was offered as an apology was a free pudding which you get free with other ordering apps anyway. no curry takes 2 hours to serve.

Best Indian in Leam/Warwick. I was initially a little hesitant when I heard The Nelson had changed to become an Indian but I was wrong. I first had food as a takeaway and have only now come in person. Both have been outstanding!!! The food is cooked fresh and you can tell as the flavour is phenomenal. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Huge highlights are the business lunch, palak paneer and the payasam.

I have visited the Nelson both before and after it's recent change in ownership. It is still a great pub. The food is excellent and they are lovely people. Also excellent choice of vegetarian dishes.

Kinny and staff were really attentive. The food was fantastic - with a huge selection of dishes, reasonably priced and the 4 of us who went last night will definitely be returning.

The Nelson pub in Warwick. This pub is easy to miss on the outskirts of Warwick BUT if you want to try a traditional Keralan Southern Goan dish then make the effort. My recommendation is Fish Polichathu and eat it with a naan and not rice. It’s a little spicy but the heat will leave you before you leave the pub and shows quality spice and ingredients. This pub is not an Indian restaurant pub it is a journey back to Kerala full of authentic taste. I don’t know anywhere local as good and I’ve been to Goa and Kerala many times. Reasonably priced and Unmissable.

The club is very good. The food was amazing and if you talk about the staff members they are very nice. Must visit

Food had unattractive appearance, Butter chicken looked like brown slop. Over riding taste was of salt with excessive heat. The lamb curry was the same shade of brown sludge and excessively hot.

We ordered a takeaway via just eat. A lamb curry & butter chicken. Delivery was late, food was just brown slop. They were listed as mild curries. Both were stupidly hot, to the point of being inedible

Just starting up under the new owners. Definitely need to be better known than they are. Amazing food. Clearly care about the ingredients for their food as you can taste all the flavours intended. The pub has always been a gem. Worth a visit!

We've been regulars at this pub for several years and have found the new management very friendly. We tried the food tonight and were extremely impressed with the quality. 2 starters great (honey chilli potatoes & Gobi manchurian) Stir fry rice king prawns could be improved slightly as just 4 prawns in the dish.

Excellent curry with lots of interesting choices and the new owners obviously care a lot both about the food and creating a welcoming environment. Bonus is being able to bring the dog along. We had the dal makhani, paneer biryani, chicken tikka masala and poratta. Would recommend them all, beautifully spiced and seasoned and not a drop of food colouring in sight.

Lovely tasting food was a lot of sauce which I like to have though others thought to much flavours were great really enjoyed

A proper local pub that does good pub grub

As a visitor to the town I discovered the pub while walking. On entering I found a wonderful proper English pub selling great local cask ale plus others. It has a great traditional interior, super friendly service and chatty locals. Don't miss it!

We went to this pub to play live music. The beer was great the landlord Tim and the staff were lovely. The Locals Were friendly and up for the live music.

Really fantastic Sunday lunch . My daughter an I so enjoyed this meal …. best ever roast potatoes everything was cooked to perfection & seasoned well👌..with a good selection of veg. and nice to have the gravy served in a jug .. We ate in the garden it was a beautiful day and the service was great . Inside there was a friendly atmosphere .. I must praise the chef . I eat out a lot and this meal really did pass my expectations.. Thankyou..
