Had a lovely evening out at the Butchers Bistro on Saturday. Wonderful food, nice surroundings and ambiance and really good service. Love it. Booked again! Thank you!

Cracking Sunday roast today! Lovely to see the bistro busy!

Waiting for 20 minutes for our drinks. Then after 1 hour waiting for our food we left, serving other people that arrived 30 minutes after us I am a type 1 diabetic my medication was taken had to leave to find food elsewhere absolutely disgusting 🤮 got the impression locals first

A superb atmosphere with delicious food.

*EDIT* in reply to the owners response Yes there was gravy on the side - the pie was also swimming in it. And no red wine jus. Yes some meat was brought out after but to serve up a dish really not as described falls well below expectations. Yes I tipped - the waitress was polite and it was quiet, I’ve been a waitress we live for the tips. I reviewed two places in one day because I thought I won’t be the person that just writes a bad review. Let’s also spread the love. There are no inaccuracies in my review. Just opinions you don’t like. ******** Only customers in on a Thursday night until one other couple came in so lacking in atmosphere. Food was edible at best. Pie absolutely not as described - one tiny piece of meat (had to hunt for it), swimming in gravy (no red wine jus) and veggies were not buttered. Steak was not cooked as requested and chewy. Peppercorn sauce more like a paste and we were charged extra for it despite it being in the dish description. Overall really disappointed.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Butchers Bistro. A really nice set up with cool vibes and the place was spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and the chefs attention to detail and presentation was top drawer 👌Highly recommended and it's great to support small businesses. Well done guys keep up the excellent work 👏

After hearing so many good things about The Butchers Bistro, I booked for dinner and overall was a 10/10 experience. The food we had was incredible and there’s lots of lovely options on the menu to cater for everybody. The staff were so friendly & attentive following along with a lovely atmosphere. Just had a delicious family Sunday lunch at this super place. Food was tasty and plentiful, Luke was both funny and attentive and all in attractive relaxed surroundings.

What a perfect addition to my old hometown. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We booked especially early as we were in our least wrinkly last day holiday clothes. So thank goodness it wasn't busy at 5, we knew it would get busy later. The chef gave the same love and attention to our food with fresh fresh ingredients. The whole place from decor to cutlery to dishes was on point! It's absolutely worth coming from Yorkshire!.....OK, we were visiting my folks in my hometown of Kenilworth 😂...definitely more of a reason to visit them now 😀

Our last meal of a two week holiday that stretched from Yorkshire to Norfolk to Kenilworth. We ate out most nights and this meal was THE BEST. The food was well prepared and very tasty. The staff were so friendly and attentive too. We will definitely return…. Thank you

We came here for the first time on Sunday with friends that were visiting from Liverpool. We hadn't booked Sunday lunch but that wasn't a problem for the friendly staff,we were seated straight away. We opted for the Sunday Roast sharing board for two people & my goodness,it was incredible!The chicken,beef & lamb were simply stunning,cooked to perfection with delicious vegetables,potatoes & a rather large yorkshire pudding! We asked for extra gravy,nothing was to much trouble,service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend & look forward to returning.

Lovely place lovely staff, great quality food

We were at a nearby event and decided to pop here for a late lunch, went with the cheese board, pork belly bites, calamari rings and a side of chips. Lovely food, even better cheese board! Service was very quick and efficient. A nice chilled atmosphere here and a nice place for drinks I’d say too.

Had a fantastic experience in here recently. Live music was amazing! Good beer and had an amazing meal previously. Staff are very friendly and is a top place for a get together. Recommended to family friends and colleagues!

We had a great time here last night. Cannot fault the service, the team were lovely. Definitely recommend the Dirty Tom Burger & my partner had a rump steak which he really enjoyed. We’ll definitely be visiting again!

We decided to try their Sunday Roast based on reviews posted on line as The Best Sunday Roast locally. Bitterly disappointed with the Yorkshire pudding more like a pancake..flat Roast potatoes? I don't think so, soft and looking over done from yesterday! Overcooked broccoli. We ate it due to being hungry, however we didn't stay for a sweet as we waited half an hour for the main. Also no starters? No one came to ask if the meal was ok until they collected our plates. We were informed when we expressed our concern that the chef is new Really! Surely any competent chef knows how to make Yorkshire Pudding. Sorry but we will not be going back anytime soon

Myself and my husband had our wedding breakfast at butcher bistro on the 5th January. From initial conversation with Kate and Luke the whole experience was amazing. Everything was so easy with organising our day despite us living overseas. On the day, the service was absolutely amazing, completely perfect! Again - Luke made everything so easy and our guests had such a great time, as did we! All of our guests have said how lovely the food was, we had starters and mains. I couldn’t fault butchers at all and can’t wait to go back for a meal. Thank you so much Kate, Luke & Jack!

Most definitely my favourite place to get something to eat in Kenilworth!💗💗 3 times we have visited now all for different occasions and each has been a lovely experience. We first visited on the vegan pop up night which was 10/10, we have popped in for a nice lunch out also 10/10 and of course tried the Sunday roast which is also a strong 10/10!!! The staff are all so lovely and attentive, the decor and atmosphere is also lovely, it’s just an all round lovely place in the most loveliest part of Kenilworth🥰 I have emailed a few times regarding vegan options and wanting to check before visiting as vegan options are normally dull and unexciting but each time Kate does not hesitate to let me know multiple vegan options they can offer as well as what is on the menu, there is always a vegan choice for the roast and the vegan pizza is the best homemade rustic pizza I have had🍕🍕🍕 it’s nice to have a choice and eat out at ease. I am excited to see what other options there may be in the future😋

Had lunch here today, the charcuterie board along with a couple of small plates. Was all delicious. The pork belly bites were amazing! Great service. Couldn’t fault it. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Our first meal at The Butchers Bistro was for Sunday lunch. Wonderful beef roast with trimmings and fabulous ‘Yorkshire pud’, all perfectly cooked. Desserts were yummy too. Service was great and a happy atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Thanks

Great experience! Greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming attitude. Very cosy ambiance and even better food. Meat was cooked perfectly with roasted vegetables, large Yorkshire pudding and super rich gravy. Throughout our meal the staff continued to shine, very attentive without being intrusive and finished it off with a dessert of warm brownie and vanilla ice cream.

A "Classy" place with a great atmosphere, a relatively new Bistro which I'm ashamed to say I hadn't visited before but passed by many times. Give the place a go, dont trust a Google review but I'm sure you wont be disappointed, support a local business

Very disappointed with Sunday Roast. Gave it a go based on great reviews and to support local business. We ordered 4 rost beef asking it to be pink. Waitress said no problem. 30 minutes later. 4 roasts arrived with dry, chewy and very well done beef on. After pointing this out we were told that it's all they have got left and you can only cook pink beef from the middle cut (it is not quite a truth if you know what are you doing- tip:cook it on 55C overnight or up to 35C on the day, comes out nice and pink throughout even if you are using cheapest topside cut as they do). I do understand that things like this happened (been a caterer for 25 years) but a little more communication would be nice. We did get 20% OFF at the end but it's not a point but we are not going out for a discount. Sorry, but it was really disappointing 😞 UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: 1. Yes, we were promised pink Beef by the waitress when order the food. It even says on the kitchen order. So until food arrived we weren't aware that you only have well done beef. If we knew, we would go elsewhere 2.we have booked a table for 4pm so 2h before closing and we were given leftovers. If you are closing at 5:45 food should be same quality as at 12. As chefs say: "last plate same as 1st plate" 3.Yes, We were offer pork instead but we said no as we didn't want pork 4. We finished our meals as we were hungry not because we enjoyed 5. Service was average: no one check throughout the meal

We booked the Butchers Bistro for our post wedding ceremony celebration. For the weeks leading up to the day, Kate was very helpful and efficient via email to keep us updated and offered us the best service. We were able to drop by the night before to drop off some decorations and Luke was really helpful with helping us store things away. The day could not have run more smoothly, the food was excellent, the service was was great and all of the staff were friendly and could not be more accommodating. We didn’t feel rushed to leave after our time slot elapsed and the whole day was brilliant, we could not recommend higher. All of our guests mentioned how nice the food was and how great the venue was.

First time visiting last week and left feeling really disappointed with the food. Service was fine and it’s a lovely cosy atmosphere but the food was a let down in terms of flavour. Very bland. Would have drinks in the venue but not the food.

Myself and seven friends visited recently. So well looked after. Pizzas are incredible. Thank you to Kate and all her staff. I will absolutely be back again. 😊🙏

Wow, what a great place to host a surprise leaving party for my son. Beautiful decor, amazing food and superb bar staff for the evening. We were allowed the venue from 6 till close. Everyone had a great night, I can’t thank Kate and the team enough for letting u us throw such a fab party for friends and family. The drink prices were surprisingly fair and massively helped with the cost of 17 tequilas on last orders at the bar 😍 We ordered pizzas to be brought out and they were demolished in 10 minutes. 10/10 Can’t wait to try your famous Sunday roasts… see you soon x

We would normally avoid eating out on Father’s Day but after such a great Sunday roast earlier this year we thought we’d give it a try…. We weren’t disappointed!! Portioned and quality were beyond generous….., we were made to feel very welcome and we thank you for the opportunity to remember all fathers. It was really memorable. Couldn’t recommend enough - well done to all involved!

I didn't email you, another unhappy customer did. Absolute car crash of a father's day Sunday roast. We arrived to find the decent ale they do wasn't available as the two lovely girls serving couldn't get the pump to work all day. Although there had been plenty of time for management / ownership to turn up and resolve by the time we arrived late afternoon. The table of six we booked wasn't available so we offered to bunch up on two drinks tables. There was no lamb left when ordering came, at a butcher's bistro! When food arrived there was next to no veg, no sign of the sweet potato dish and two rather pathetic slices of average beef. The chicken was more appropriate portion wise but came with no veg to speak of either. The lovely girls who had to front all of this while the chef stayed in the kitchen and the owner was nowhere to be seen, tried their best to sort out with a couple of slices of beef and a some veg we didn't order. The chef offered compensatory pudding but we'd already ordered them as part of our set menu. The girls serving were fantastic, but as for a chef or manager or owner on a big day with many covers there was no one to be seen. Such a shame. 1. Our table was not ready, we were flexible and sat by joining two tables by the bar. You'll see on your CCTV. 2. We were not the last table. Again your CCTV will show you that. 3. Our veg as served was two tiny sprigs of broccoli. Yep, that CCTV again. 4. We paid in full and tipped the lovely girls serving. Good old CCT and staff. 5. We got no discount off our bill and didn't ask for it. The CCTV will help, as will the till. 6. We got no discount off a return by email. The CCTV probably won't get that one. 7. The chef did not come out when I complained about the beef portion. Yes, that CCTV will help you here. I've given you another star for your polite, detailed, researched and CCTV resourced reply that was in response to a completely different customer. Thank you for the support.

Have visited the BB a good number of times now and all I can say is each time it has been phenomenal! Our most recent visit here was Father's Day and once again we were blown away. The set menu provided us with a vast range of choice and the food did not disappoint! The chef also took the time to come to our table and check that we were happy with our food. It was busy during our visit but we were still provided with excellent service by the two friendly and attentive waitresses. Nothing was too much for either waitress and despite it being busy, they made their way around each table to offer out fathers day treats- this was a lovely touch. We won a free drink which we redeemed immediately. This place is lovely, the staff are fab and there was clear attention to detail. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Outstanding Sunday lunch! Table for 3 plus well-behaved dog! We had a very relaxed afternoon. The veggie option Lentil roast was so tasty...the beef was fab too. It really made the weekend! Staff friendly, great sense of humour. Came back on Thursday for happy hour with the girls and were not dissappointed!Were booking again and again!!🤩

First time here with my son for Mothers day amazing meal Sunday lunch beef was gorgeous complimentary flowers and card could not fault it beautiful. Reasonably priced too.

Four of us just had a fabulous Sunday dinner. Veg and meat was cooked to perfection and gravy was so tasty. Complimentary flowers were a nice touch too. Had a shared platter here before and that's what enticed us to return. Always great, friendly service too. Thank you. Well worth a visit.

What a lovely addition to the old town! Been a few times for drinks and eaten here once. Was great to meet a friend and have a bottle of wine and a sharing board! Loved the bread board. The flavoured butters are amazing with the different breads! Soaked up enough wine for us to need another ;-)

Lovely new Bistro in Kenilworth. The interior was beautiful and was a great place to enjoy drinks with friends, feels very upmarket and offers a great alternative to the other bars in Kenilworth. Will be sure to return to try the food menu very soon!

A disappointing experience at the Butchers Bistro this evening! Two tiny pieces of bruschetta for nearly £7 per head… just not sure how that can be justified? Gambias were ok, if a little rubbery. Pizza did not deliver on Chefs promises!! I left two pieces of just dough… meat ‘feast’ it just was not. We ordered a second bottle of rose Prosecco but they’d run out! Overall a disappointing evening. It is a shame… they are just under prepared and we’re found lacking. Even the champagne glasses had not been properly cleaned to remove the labels! Thank goodness for good company!

Super atmosphere created in this small, intimate bistro. A great night with prosecco, cheese and charcuterie board for a girly evening. The food was super and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Really recommend!
