Daughters wedding. 3/6/23 Absolutely beautiful Staff and management worked so hard to accommodate quests And off course The bride and groom. Well done to the ladies that set out the room exactly how my daughter wanted it. Would recommend for any one looking for a venue for a wedding.

Perfect for family and friends to get together. Beautiful food amazing staff, highly recommended.

Churchill's bar in wednesbury ,fantastic venue for parties and weddings, we went with family and friends Saturday it was amazing and the food was fantastic and had plenty of it, the staff are exceptionally pleasent and welcoming, it's not the first time we have been we like the bands they have on it's a great atmosphere and plenty of room to dance. Wonderful place a must go to place if you want a quality night out.

Where do i start, firstly, we was seated at the back were everyone was queuing for food so we couldnt sit at our table, had to que for one hour for food on good if you are hungry don't like eating at 10 pm at night the queen tribute what we'd to see didn't till 11pm. The music was that loud it was thud the entire body NEVER AGAIN

My whole family visit Churchills on a regular basis for food and entertainment. The beef on the carvery is the most tender I have ever eaten, there is always a good selection of meat and vegetables to suit all tastes, cooked to perfection! Staff are lovely, polite and attentive to all needs. We also enjoy the family entertainment nights with Quiz, Bingo etc. the atmosphere is always friendly, everyone feels comfortable and enjoys the evening. We have no hesitation recommending Churchills in Wednesbury West Midlands.

After 2 previously very disappointing visits I thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt and try one more time because of all the good reviews and perhaps I had been very unlucky on the last two occasions.. What a mistake!. If anything, the food was even worse with dried-out, tasteless meat, awful burnt roast potatoes, and parsnips, watery mashed potatoes, and the other veg that was equally as bad. The service was poor with orders wrong and slow. I know that Sundays is a busy time but if there is a staffing problem this should have been addressed by now. because there were a number of us we were very short of space which made eating uncomfortable with no elbow room. The quality of the food and service is not reflected in the price and nearly every nearby carveries are cheaper with better food and service. After 3 awful visits I am unlikely to go again.

The quality of the Sunday Carvery I not as good as it used to be. I had the carvery of beef and turkey. One slice of beef and bits of off cuts and the same with the turkey. The turkey was dry and not very nice, the selection of veg was ok, but the roast potatoes and parsnips were dry and not very tasty The food quality has gone down and the price has gone up The room was very noisy and the music playing in the background made people have to talk louder to be heard, as well as the walls were bare not absorbing any noise. Not a relaxing atmosphere with so much noise. Also the seating was quite cramped between people and not enough elbow room between others in our group. The standards of the staff left a little to be desired because wrong orders were delivered to people in our group and one person had to wait a long time for something that was ordered as a starter, Very disappointing because it used to be much better previously.

We go to Churchills about once a month. Its a very clean, cheery place with servers that go above and beyond! Tables clean and tidy! Sunday lunch is superb priced at just over £10 per person. Food is hot & plentiful. 3 lots of potatoes done in different ways about 6-7 different vegetables, gravy is brill. Table with condiments not far from food. You order at your table and pay for food & drinks at the end of your meal either with cash or card. My husband is on crutches and has no trouble getting to the main room, very disabled friendly. The staff are fab very friendly and very helpful. They helped with taking my husbands meal to our table as he cant manage the tray with being on crutches. Great system, great service & great staff. Would highly recommend but advise to book a table!

I am so pleased with the organisation and service provided for the wake following my dad's funeral. The food was excellent and the service efficient and unobtrusive. We were treated with respect and courtesy. Chris made the whole experience easy and stress free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Churchills.

Went here for my daughters birthday i called to book in at last the minute an the staff managed to get us in especially with this 50% off on as everywhere is fully booked, the staff were amazing and quick service food was piping hot and tasted delicious. I recommend anyone to eat here. Very clean and good social distancing happening here unlike alot of places. Well done to all the staff here we will be back.

I booked to eat here because I knew it would be busy on a Wednesday. This is their vfm (value for money) night where you choose a starter, a carvery main meal with a choice of three meats, ( have all 3 if you wish!) and a choice of pudding for under a fiver! Food very good, service, too. All in all, excellent vfm

Got voucher for afternoon tea as a Christmas gift. I believe that this is available Wednesday and Sunday. We went on a Sunday. You need to call in advance to book and let them know what sandwiches each party member has chosen from a selection of about 5 different options. Upon arrival you get a cake stand with your chosen sandwiches, a scone with jam & cream, cake and petit fours. All delicious. There is also a choice of tea or coffee (both available decaffeinated). All in all a very pleasant experience and a very welcome present.

Visited here with family making about 25 including children, bar choice excellent food good and hot we all had a great time

A large group of us booked lunch as part of our Christmas celebrations. Three long tables were out ready when we arrived. We shared the room with another large group which was not a problem.We arrived about 12.30pm and took our seats. There was a terribly long wait for bthe starter, about 1 and a quarter hours. The first course was served at the table as was the third. For the main course ther was a sliding partition that slid back and the food could be seen. I did not really like this as the area we had to go to help ourselves to the food was in fact just part of the general public room.The 3 course meal was great value at £10 .Not the best carvery I have had but was hot and tasty. There continued to be quite a delay between courses. Entertainment was include and comprised of a female singer dressed in wartime clothes and singing wartime songs. She had a break and then returned to sing Christmas songs.All in all , great value but a little frayed around the sides. Decor needs sprucing up.

Went for Sunday dinner after spending a week in Blackpool, can't fault the food and the service was excellent.

We have been to churchill's for a variety of events so I was interested to see how well their afternoon tea was, we weren't disappointed. We booked as advised and was told it would not be too long before our food was bought out to us and it wasn't. We had a variety of bread and rolls which were very fresh and a good selection of fillings, the dessert selection did not disappoint either, needless to say it did not take us long to demolish our food. Tea and coffee flowed. All in all it was an afternoon well spent and would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely appalling service! Ruined our Christmas day. Too many people including elderly customers queuing for hours for mediocre food. One older lady carving for everyone. The owner Chris was arrogant and wouldn't listen to our complaints which were well justified. 4 out of 8 of us left after 3 and a half hours without pudding. Had been there several times for Sunday lunch which was always excellent but Chris got greedy. Too many customers and not enough staff. Don't book Christmas Day!!!!

This establishment offers a gluten free range. Gluten free gravy,Yorkshire pudding,stuffing and also gluten free puddings.This establishment covers a lot of people's needs, love comming here I haven't been on any of the party nights but they look amazing from the videos I have seen.. 100persent a must go to,also the staff are so accommodating. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Would highly recommend this place we went for mid week carvery the meat was so tender it just crumbled all the vegetables were served hot and cooked to perfection. The pudding (apple crumble ) was huge served with plenty of custard. The price was very good I'm impressed

There wasn't a great deal of veg when we queued up but it was slightly after 330 and therefore, to be expected. The server was generous with the meat and did a good job on carving the meat properly. We were unfortunate with the veg that was available, however, there was a little of everything.

Cannot fault Churchill's Bar in any way. Fantastic food, service, facilities and DJ. So many of our guests complimented us on all aspects of our night, stating what a great night they had. Thank you Chris, Sarah and all other staff members for making our night one to remember. We would definitely book again, without hesitation.

This was a special year for us - birthdays covering 90, 60 and 16 and a 30th wedding anniversary - so we decided to have one big party. From the start of the process to the end of the party, the staff at Churchill’s were friendly, helpful and patient with us. The decorations in the room were lovely and the food, both hot and cold, was plentiful and delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this venue again.

Popped in in the off chance of getting a table as we were in the area and wanted a carvery / Sunday dinner, luckily we managed to get one but I think it’s definately worth booking if more than two of you, lovely and clean, staff attentive, carvery choice of three meats , plenty choice of vegetables, the gravy was excellent, , good choice of puddings on menu, lovely old style so we had a lemon sponge and apple and berry crumble with custard, good value for money, nice atmosphere, will definately go again.

Loved the food, meat was just right. Service was excellent. Best Sunday carvery around. Would recommend a try.

my hubby and I went to the Wednesday carvery and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of very well cooked vegetables...and roast meats.we were served at the carvery very quickly and really enjoyed the whole experience.we will definitely be going again.

£7.95 for the Sunday carvery. Choice of 3 meats with Yorkshire puddings and stuffing with 6 steamed veg and 2 roast veg.

We went to see Elvis,we had a brilliant night food was excellent too, very friendly and we will be going again.

A group of 16 we decided to try the Umpah night as our Christmas outing. Table magic, which was excellent but we wanted more, Helen a local singer performing popular music and the Amazing Umpah band who had everyone on their feet.

Great food all cooked fresh meat on carved for you. Friendly staff pleasant and helpful. Food is great value for money been many times.

sunday carvery. we tried here after a day in Worcester , after all the recommendations , felt a little disappointed . the place was so noisy and felt a little chavvy . probably won't bother again . food was ok but not enough meat for me

A group of 16 of us booked for the Sunday Carvery. I think it's better in a group as the room is very noisy and stark. Couples would feel uncomfortable here. The food is ok but nothing special. Starters and desserts are brought to you table by the waiting staff who are lovely. You have to queue for the carvery, perfectly acceptable apart from the carvery staff. I've never known such slow service, sometimes she was on her own and chatting away to other staff. Sorry but your job at a carvery is to cut the meat quickly and get people served. Ok amount of meat, good range of vegetables although they all appear to be frozen convenience food. Doubt we'll go back, sorry. Better carveries out there.

This carvery looks small but choice of three meats veg cooked lovely.roasters so nice roasted parsnips etc etc large Yorkshire pud.all this for 7.95.

My first visit here with my mum to try out the Sunday carvery. The food was hot and ok. I would of like a bit more selection on the veg. But for the price I can't really complain so if your wanting a basic Sunday roast I would recommend. The seating however really made me feel uncomfortable, we were seated at a table for 2 in the middle of the room, I felt like I was back in the dinner hall at school I felt very exposed and uncomfortable. The decor is lovely i think i should try one of the nights there I can imagine it would look beautiful . It looked very clean, I can't knock the staff but have nothing to praise them about either...

We went as a family to Churchills for Sunday carvery and to celebrate my hubby 70th birthday ,we had a fabulous meal best carvery ever every thing was piping hot,meat well cooked and at least 7 different veg to choose from.The staff where very good and most helpfully and efficient will definitely be going there for Sunday lunch again soon.

Room has been done out nice had a wonderul time at the party, but now where we sat at the top by the double doors behind us was like a serving hatch so im not sure what was behind these doors there was a disgusting smell of sewer, i told the girl behind the bar she went to investigate the toilets but they were not behind this wall as we thought, we could not up and move as there was no where else to go, at times the smell was relay bad so it needs to be looked at im not nit picking im just saying how it was, we didnt have nothing off the buffet, the drinks were good prices aswell, the only thing that pits me off this place aswell is the steep steps to get in especialy coming out when u have had a few would i go there again yes i would maybe they can shed some light on the pronlem of the smell though the girl didnt get back to me on the night either

Went to wedding last night and can’t believe how amazing all the bar staff were. They could not do enough for you and even when they were so rushed they were all so happy well done girls. Also the drink prices were good. £10.99 bottle house wine that’s a good price.

We had our wedding reception here in the small room and it was an amaizing night :). Dj played some decent music at times so we could dance but not always but you cant please everyone, buffet was lovely not a complaint about that :). A large selection of drinks available at the bar and well priced :). Staff that where working where excellent and very helpfull.

Best local for Sunday lunch large seating area three meats and lots of veg to choose from at a very reasonable price would highly recommend great for families parking opposite in car park steps up in to entrance difficulty’s for disabled

We had been told how good the food and dining room was and Churchill’s exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent and all the veg was freshly cooked and delicious. The dining room is large light and airy and all the staff were very efficient and friendly, we all really enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again.

Had a party there overpriced food the D J was rubbish you had to have all their balloons etc you could not organize anything yourself. Room was nice but thats about it i would not hold a party there again

I have never eaten here before.layout was lovely staff exceptional. Carvery was 7.95 very reasonable. Beef and pork we had.veg all nice. Proper wine list and a gin menu so impressed.i had a cheesecake 2.95 raspberry and white choc.very nice staff helpfull

I regularly book in 20+ people for the Sunday Carvery and we have never been disappointed. Already many of those who make up our party are already asking when the next one is just a week after our last visit.Friendly staff and great service at a bargain price. The quality of the food is excellent. A great Sunday dinner without the hassle of having to coo and doing the washing up.

Great day last Sunday, the birthday boy thought he was just popping out for a carvery with immediate family, to be greeted by 40 of us. They catered excellently. Got the children served first and we all went up at a pleasant pace to get ours, All meats were tender and cooked well, great choice of veg and everyone enjoyed the nice home made Yorkies, great choice for desserts too.

Went for a Sunday carvery this place is far better than your main stream pub chains food is more home cooked than mass produced watery tasteless stuff you normally get at a lower price tag pleasant staff worth a visit

Booked for an after Funeral function. Made to feel very welcome everything was ready for us on what was a sad occasion. The food was excellent with good and varied selection. The staff were very efficient.

we had our wedding reception here in the large function room, and all i can say it was an amazing perfect night, the staff worked really hard and very professional , the bar staff were superb and kept the drinks flowing and the queues to a minimum as there were at least 250 guests and everyone enjoyed it.. the hot and cold buffet was fantastic and as things were running low they were quickly topped up.. the dj supplied by churchills was also great, he played all types of music and kept the dance floor busy, the lady who decorated the room did a fantastic job it looked amazing, i would definitely recommend her if you have a function coming up.. overall churchills was a great choice for us and i give it 110/100 it was that good.. chris and the team look after you from the time of booking to the time you pick your deposit back up... give them a try you won’t be disappointed and also get sarah from i do event hire ltd to decorate your room... overall the place is amazing, food was excellent and most of all beer prices very reasonable.. thanks again to chris and the team for making our wedding night as good as it was..

We went to Churchills to try the Sunday carvery and where disappointed after what i had heard. The good points were the staff were very good helpful and pleasant the room was spacious and clean, it was the food the meat wasnt to bad but the rest wasnt very good the mash was sloppy and all the veg was bland nothing tasted of what it should! Now the gravy my wife and i both like thick gravy but this gravy was THICK and i mean stand a spoon in it thick, it tasted like they had used flour to thicken it up and that is all you could taste it was the worst gravy i have tasted anywhere! It was a shame because it is a great place for entertainment we had a great night there at a beatles tribute and disco would go to that again but sadly not for a carvery.

Popped in here for Sunday carvery as it was on the way back home and family was getting hungry and it’s honest good food for the price... it’s not the poshest of places (it’s a slightly odd venue tbh) but at the same time it was exactly what we needed... plenty of meat, plenty of veg and friendly service..

Visited after just arriving back from Holiday as we needed some good old Homely comfort food. First time visiting for a carvery and wasn’t let down. Food was lovely just what we needed. Good selection of vegetables and meat. Bar lady was lovely sorry didn’t catch her name, lady with blonde hair. Dining area is clean and modern. Reasonable prices on the carvey and drinks. If your in the area pop in for a cracking carvery.

We have been to the carvery a few times and so far it's by far the best in the area, good home cooked food and reasonably priced. We shall definitely regulars

First time at Churchill's, back to my roots born and bred in Wednesbury. taking mom for Sunday lunch , when arriving I realised that we where eating in the old Montessa club ( I could tell a few stories about that place from my younger days)

I have eaten at the carvery here on four or five occasions, since their move from Church Hill. I have only three criticisms; firstly that the service always seems a little hesitant and unprofessional, secondly that on three occasions the carrots have been undercooked - almost raw, and thirdly there is something very strange going on with the comparative height of the chairs to the tables.....one is too high, or the other is too low.....weird!That said, in the main my visits here have been a positive experience with well cooked food at very reasonable prices within (mostly) comfortable surroundings. Despite my little moans, I'm sure you will get more than value for money from this place if you choose to visit.

Chris and his staff provided with a first class venue ,food was great and room decoration was first class ,the bar service was good and staff were friendly couldn't recommend a better venue to hold your wedding reception ,thanks to Chris and all his staff

I have visited on a few occasions and never been disappointed with the food and the friendliness of the staff. The meat has always been excellent in particular the beef which was succulent and tender. A good selection of vegetables which were also very tasty.I always look forward to my next visit.

First time visit to Churchills and went for a family birthday lunch. We all had the Sunday carvery and I was quite surprised at how good everything was considering the amount of people in the place overall. The meat was really nice, especially the beef and wasn't dry or tough and the vegetables weren't over cooked. Quite a variety of puddings were on also on offer which catered for most tastes. The staff were very friendly although under quite a bit of pressure. Nice atmosphere and you could take young children without worrying too much..

Great food and brilliant rooms. The starters are very nice and their carverys are amazing. The puddings are very filling and nice. Overall i think they deserve the 5 stars

Just thought i'd let people know that this place has now moved into bigger and better premises, still called Churchills, Chris and the team have now taken over the old Conservative club on Walsall road Wednesbury. Been done out nice, and meals just as good as ever, some great entertainment nights

I went with my girlfriend and members of her family to celebrate her Mom's 80th birthday. The carvery itself was fine, but the roast parsnips had been left under heat lamps for too long and were rather too crispy. The stuffing was a little on the soggy side. One member of our party does not eat veg and asked for a second yorkshire but was refused. The breaded mushroom starters were a little overdone and the pate starter was advertised as having crusty bread which wasn't provided until we asked for it. Two of the deserts had to be sent back as they weren't what was asked for, but were subsequently returned correct.Later on after we had finished eating, a member of staff was observed plating up a meal and there were two yorkshires on it. I know as I happened to walk past her while she was doing it. So staff can have two but customers can't?Petty? Possibly, but the other members of the party were not impressed when I told them.

Been going here since I was a young kid. Think they have ruined the snooker rooms character, taking away what was once a classic room now looks like a bingo hall. Shame really. We also payed for tickets for the northern soul night only to be told when we arrived that we had to pay a extra £5 each to get into the night we originally payed for, again not impressed. Overall a good friendly atmosphere, and the ball room hasn't changed, please don't mess this room up like the other. Would recommend a night there for an event just make sure you ask what your paying for as they are looking to make easy buck off all. 6 people and we ended up spending £60 before we bought a drink. Didn't even get offered our money back for the room we never stayed in for more than 10 minutes. Poor management in my eyes.

Have just had an amazing Sunday lunch at the social club, everything was hot and well cooked with a great selection of vegetables (and an exceptionally tasty cauliflower cheese that I could have eaten on it's own! ).Brilliant value for money at €7 and drinks prices reasonable too.Safe to say we will be back soon!

Visited churchill on a Thursday evening, what can I say amazing as ever , food piping hot I had the new cheese sticks, chips and salad" wow" mouth watering , pint with my meal what more can you ask for, kids play area to keep them entertained , definitely one for the family.

Regulars to this well established family friendly club. Sunday lunch with that home cooked taste. Great atmosphere inside and out with the kids playground there's enough to keep the kids entertained between lunch and dessert. Great value for money.

Went with family for a sunday dinner. Each time ive been there has been lovely hospitality and food. The gravy is delicious, also a nice selection of puddings and a nice atmosphere.

I am a regular visitor to Churchill Social Club for my Sunday lunch with friends. It has a good atmosphere, good food with good choices and very friendly and welcoming staff. Vegetarians catered for.

I attended a Wake on Friday, the staff were really friendly and the buffet was great. The family requested a curry as it was Tone's favourite dish, they did him proud. Thank you so much
