The best restaurants in Warwick West Midlands

I don’t like Chinese food generally and would never choose to go to a Chinese restaurant or order Chinese takeaway. However, after walking past Ruby with a friend we decided give it a try. I didn’t have any expectations given previous bad experiences with Chinese food in Leamington and elsewhere. We ordered set meal C, it was fantastic value for money and massive portion sizes, the food was delicious and very high quality. I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and polite as well, good service. Since that time I have been back with my family and we have also ordered take away from Ruby a few times. Again, the take away was really tasty and the same quality and standard as the restaurant food. All the other Chinese take aways are terrible in comparison. Ruby is now one of my favourite restaurants in Leamington!

They always forget something. In fact, you can rely on the fact that something from your order will be missing. So frustrating

Came here for a dinner with work colleagues on a week night. Very tasty food and great service. Nice decor. Reasonable price, perhaps a bit on the high side.

This hotel is great, the staff friendly and very professional, rooms are very well presented and clean. Food beautifully cooked A well deserved 5 stars

Hired the space downstairs for my 30th birthday party, its just perfect for this! Comfortably fit 40 people in, Kiera and Seb were great in answering all my questions and making sure the whole process was straightforward. The buffet was excellent, all the guests commented on how good the food was and was a great selection. Allowed us to put our own decorations up but it is decorated so nicely that you actually wouldn't need any. All the staff were lovely-thank you for making it a night to remember!

Wanted to give this place a chance. Popped down at 6.30pm on a Friday night. Not too busy but the staff were incapable of serving. Totally out of their depth, inefficient and lack of prep. After waiting 25 minutes, decided to leave as there was no movement with the queue.

Good was lovely, service wasn’t overly friendly… Fitted us in easily when we hadn’t booked. I’d probably go again but it wasn’t anything special

Fantastic food! And great value for the money. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was any trouble, if their was one near me I would go more often.

We went for a 70th birthday celebration. The birthday girl had ordered savoury croissants, which were really fresh and tasty. The drinks were hot and there were plenty to choose from. Order downstairs if you are going upstairs to sit.The staff will then bring your order to the table. The staff are this venue's trump card., so welcoming,fun and friendly. And, the icing on the cake, Michelle treated the birthday girl to a free hot drink. Highly recommended.

We visited today to hear a friend sing. Wow what a joy to find a pub so friendly and reminding us (we are goldie oldies)of how local pubs used to be. It was buzzing. We will be back, we loved the atmosphere.

I cannot fault the service, I have frequented here many times over the years and have always classed it as a treat when working in leamington. My previous visit was disappointing so I thought that today I’d give it a second chance as I’d always had excellent food in the past. However today I was further more disappointed by my baguette which was sparsely filled and my slice of bread pudding lacked fruit and pretty much unsweetened. It is unfortunate that now I feel the produce is over priced and underwhelming and regret that I shall now avoid this place rather than look forward to visiting. 🙁

This restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever had the service is always quick and great, the food there was amazing. Very good quality and friendly staff.

nice place, friendly and coffee and pastries very nice. pleasant staff and clean at the time of the visit. smokers can sit outside toilets - look like zillion years old and well past their sell by date - why have they not been updated?

Having been excited to finally visit with my daughters and 4 granddaughters 28th September as a family treat we were extremely disappointed, the service was atrocious, no one came to take our order after being sat for 25 minutes and when asked them to take an order they still took so long to actually acknowledge us .. the 5 deserts eventually ordered took over and hour and each one came separately so we all had to eat them alone one by one … not at all the experience we expected, the deserts were ok but extremely rushed and thrown together, they continued to seat other people and take more orders, i understand that it was busy but surly if you are not coping with who you have seated already take no further bookings and offer a good service to those you have already taken orders for ! We will not return 😣

This was our 2nd visit to the Kings head, and won’t be the last, we love this place, and it’s a great place to stay when visiting Warwick, the tapas was lovely, and nice size portions, probably ordered to much, because was used to small tapas portions, not a bad thing though. The room for the night was very reasonable, being under £100 a night with breakfast, it’s not 5 star, but very clean and tidy, so if your looking to stay in Warwick, look no further, oh and ring them directly and save at least £15, by not going through a web site. We will be back at Christmas to visit the Christmas market
