Came here for a dinner with work colleagues on a week night. Very tasty food and great service. Nice decor. Reasonable price, perhaps a bit on the high side.

I saw some reviews online about being too salty/ not nice etc but decided to ignore as there were lots of ‘excellent’ reviews. So sad I didn’t, I’ve never had such revolting food in my life, too salty, hardly any chicken (if I had wanted to eat), bland, just revolting. The only edible thing was the naan.

Went out with family and friends. Ordered a sizzler and a portion of lamb Sheesh kebab. There were 3 pieces of chicken and onle sheesh kebab cut into 3 and it was for £15.99. Portion of lamb Sheesh kebab was £6.99 for one kebab cut into 3 pieces. The main course was definitely not India, worst food I've ever had. The small restaurants in the town do far better. We wanted to go somewhere nice but the quality of food was zero. Wouldn't mind paying for the food if it's up to mark. Being an Indian and brought up in India I can say it was definitely nowhere near Indian food. Chicken was not properly cooked, chicken gravy and dhaal tastes same(tomato flavour) Will not recommended Leamington branch to anyone The only nice thing was the breads.

Decor was really nice, chairs were comfy and the staff were top notch. I had ostrich for starter (you can't get it anywhere else!) and lamb tikka tandoori for main. Both were very tasty but you don't get much for what you pay in terms of the lamb tikka. Generally slightly overpriced for everything.

Easy to get a walk in table on Friday or Sat night and after eating there recently I understand why. A limited menu but the food is still poor. Almost tastes like it’s from a jar with a quick stir through. Two different Mains tasted almost identical. Pilau rice was boiled rice with a bit of food colouring poured over. I felt like going into the kitchen and dragging the chef out of by his ear and announcing to the other diners “ I’ve got him” All the more disappointing because it used to be good and I like the ambience of the place. The kitchen is letting this place down.

Fantastic meal at Memsaab. Service was impeccable and very thoughtful. The food was delicious (tried tikka and onion bhaji, butter chicken and lamb rogan josh and brownie and gulab Jamba). One rice and naan between two was perfect to share. Really good quality worth a more premium price. Venue was styled elegantly but quiet for a Friday night so clearly a hidden gem. Thank you for a great night!

When I first decided to order from this restaurant I phoned them up and they told me that the whole menu is gluten free! I have been ordering from them ever since. I am not very adventurous with my order (usually chicken tikka masala) so I can’t comment too much on the whole menu. However for me, their curry hits the spot and I would recommend for celiacs.

We have ordered take aways from Mem Saab a number of times now as we can’t resist the tasty non greasy curry’s, they always have beautiful flavour without the grease of a normal curry and it’s always hot and freshly cooked. The curry’s have a slightly varied taste each time, whether this be a slight difference in heat or flavour, we love this as not only does it show how fresh the ingredients are, but it also means it’s not the same each time adding variety. I can’t recommend this take away enough, the staff are always super friendly and will go out of their way to help you decide what to have. They are really friendly and polite and also value us as customers; they even remember our order, which is great customer service in my opinion. The cheesy garlic bread is so delicious, so if you like a bit of naughty in your naan like us, then this is definitely for you! We don’t feel guilty for eating a curry from Mem Saab at least once a month as it never feels fatty/greasy. We will continue to use Mem Saab and would highly recommend you give it a try. You won’t regret it. From a very happy and satisfied customer : ) Seb and Jen

Fancied a treat, choose Memsaab and we weren't disappointed. Very pleasant surroundings and excellent service. For starters I had the Tandoor Gobi Tukra (cauliflower) as I fancied something a bit different to usual. It was lovely, gently spice and cooked to perfection, really enjoyed it. My wife chose the Chicken, Fish and Prawn Pakora which she also enjoyed. For mains we choose the Duo of Chicken which was wonderful. Quite well spiced (possibly a tad too much for me) but really enjoyed it. Certainly not a curry house, definitely Indian Fine Dining. Absolutely loved the place and will certainly recommend it.So much choice, I would study the menu before you go, and there are also specials.

Dinner for two on a Wednsday evening. Being midweek the restaurant was a bit quiet but a party of guys turned up and it livened up. Service and attention to us was superb throughout. The starters of Butterfly Prawns from the tandoor and an onion bhajia were very nice and to be commended. It was also a nice touch to see a daily special which lifted my spirits because this is not something you see very often. I was expecting a recipe lovingly crafted during the day and served until it ran out. Sadly this creation using strips of chicken breast was bland and tasted like boiled chicken. I suspect it created some moments before it was served and had nothing to commend it. I did make the point at the time but it was met with a shrug of the shoulders. The other main lamb dish was execellent by contrast.I will happily go again but Mem Saab please make the "special" a dish by which you would like to be judged. If it was oustanding it would be real attraction. So, don't give this up just raise the bar. I am sure you are up it.The meal with two rounds of drinks and tip £68.

We were a party of about 16, given a long table in the window. Decor is dark and intimate, seats comfortable, attention to detail with beautiful napkins. Service was excellent throughout - no missed dishes, no staggered delivery, all hot (although the plates weren't: my only niggle). The menu is varied and interesting, unlike most curry houses, with a special Starter and Main of the day. I had three courses, which I don't normally. It's not cheap, because it's a cut above the norm. The toilets are clean and smart too (yes it does matter), with individual towels. Really enjoyed the evening and left happy, with a heavier bill than I'd expected.

I visit this Indian anytime I am in the area. The portion sizes look small compared to other Indian restaurants but they end up being just right, with no waste. The lamb jalfrezei is the best I have ever had. Just the right flavour/heat ratio. The owner, if he is there, always gives a warm welcome to his guests. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. Very nice restaurant, very good food, waitresses...... could have been a little friendlier but that's being picky. Been here several times and always enjoyed it and probably be back BUT 'service' charge leaves a bad taste! Drop it guys, you'd have got a tip anyway but a tip is just that, a voluntary expression of appreciation for the service provided, not a fixed sum demanded as part of the bill!! As said, guess be back again one day but you're second on my list to anywhere else that allows me to make my mind up whether you're worth the extra 10%! Don't take it or my custom for granted.

This spacious and stylish Indian restaurant has been a favourite of ours for some years. The menu is 'Anglo-Indian' - although so are most British Indian restaurants - allowing them to feature some unusual dishes. There are also the usual favourites such as Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything is cooked with a light touch, however, and the flavours are fresh and flavoursome. Service is friendly and very efficient and there is a comfy waiting area for tables or for takeaways. I have never known them not to accommodate us no matter how busy they are. Decor is sophisticated and classy making it a good destination for a special occasion or date night. This was my second visit and whilst the service and the food remained very good, the experience was ruined by the noise. I'd previously been on a Tuesday, this time it was a Thursday evening and full of screaming women and very loud mouthed oafs. A visiting alien would have guessed that this was in fact the appropriate conduct.... The staff were especially friendly with the loudest customers, patting them on the back as though encouraging them! But seriously, this is not a place to enjoy an intimate or romantic dinner. I won't be going back, despite loving the food. The level of noise was scandalous. I've visited and reviewed plenty of restaurants, but none as noisy as this.

Having ordered a curry without garlic I was disappointed in how bland it was despite asking for it to be spicy. When I raised this with the staff they told me that it was because it didn't have garlic which is nonsense. If they couldn't serve a spicy curry they should have told me hence my low rating

This was a truly wonderful eating experience. Every mouthful we ate was delicious and I can't wait to go back. I would however warn others to take more notice of the bill than I did. They had already added 10% service charge on the bill but didn't tell me this when I left £20 tip! Not very honest I think.

The food was the best Indian we have had since moving to Leamington Spa. The service was great, not too rushed as in a lot of restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Its a nice Indian restaurent. Parking is very near. Food is amazing. I visited with my family. I have visited other Indian restaurent in Leamington but I find the taste is better here. Helpings are good. I will suggest to have Chicken Shashlik, Rogan Josh Paneer, daal Makhani and Onion Kulcha.

Lucky to get 2 seats without booking on a busy Friday night. Ordered chefs specials for the night and enjoyed both although the Salmon starter could have been a tad more generous. Overall, not cheap but good quality with great naan breads. Popadoms also very good. Too full for dessert!

Recently visited the Resteraunt -having eaten in most resteraunts up and down the country- have to say was pleasantly surprised - Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the standard of service and quality of food was excellent - finished the evening with scrumptious deserts - will definitely be going back and will recommend it to friends !

What a disappointment.. A really well-done up venue but they massively drop the ball on their food and prices. At nearly a pound for each Poppadom, it was madness; let alone their mains. Trust me, you'd have better food ordering from your local curry place and getting a take away. I've had better take away curries from countless places. For 5 people the total was £138 and this was after a compulsory gratuity charge of 10%. Absolute rip off. I would not recommend this place.

Menu look exciting, but food did not live up to the billing, my dish was served 5 minutes before the rest of the table so was cold by the time the rest of the food arrived the curry sauce was weak and watery. No taka dal on the menu but the best popadoms I have eaten, This place could be so much better with a little more care

On the plus side, the place is BYO for booze. The service was good and the food came quickly, and was nice and hot. Unfortunately the Masala chips were just oven chips with paprika thrown over them and the lamb chop in the sizzler had quite literally no meat on it. Taste-wise things were acceptable but certainly not 'blow your socks off'. No complementary popadums either. Shame.

Stayed at the hotel Saturday night. I was assuming the restaurant would be busy. I was the only person there. We had a chicken curry and rice rice was good. Chicken curry was microwaved who knows it could have been an Asda ir Iceland frozen curry. No taste, nothing unique. I took 3 pieces of chicken and left the rest. Went down on Sunday Night. Sorry chefs off tonight. I was hungry and asked for some nurs or crisps. Was told they had none.. You can order in deliveroo or Uber if you want. Appalling diabolical WILL NOT BE RETURNING PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE BE WARNED ABYSSMAL
