Stayed at the hotel Saturday night. I was assuming the restaurant would be busy. I was the only person there. We had a chicken curry and rice rice was good. Chicken curry was microwaved who knows it could have been an Asda ir Iceland frozen curry. No taste, nothing unique. I took 3 pieces of chicken and left the rest. Went down on Sunday Night. Sorry chefs off tonight. I was hungry and asked for some nurs or crisps. Was told they had none.. You can order in deliveroo or Uber if you want. Appalling diabolical WILL NOT BE RETURNING PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE BE WARNED ABYSSMAL

Just had a lovely meal on a Saturday night, can’t believe there were only 5 people eating as the food was good and the service excellent. Only tried the Indian menu but all was good and a reasonable price will definitely return next time in the area

I visited the restaurant this evening as I am staying on site for work and what a dreadful experience! It may be a Sunday, but to be served a starter and a main course at the same time, presumably because the manager wants to close early is just bad practice - and it wasn't as if it was busy: there was me, and two other people in the restaurant at the time. Add to that a waiter who didn't know what a lime and soda was, a totally silent room with no music or other ambient noise and the fastest meal i've ever eaten and it's safe to say I won't be coming back. The staff may be charming but they need training, FAST!

Apparently there is a chef here? Last orders were 9:45 as the "has to leave at 9:50".. so five mins to microwave up your slop then he clears off to the pub no doubt.. all very Fawlty Towers.

This restaurant has a varied menu, the food was well presented and a generous, hot portions. The food for a restaurant was not expensive.

Visited with 4 members of my family, 2 of them had 4 glasses of wine split all down them because the waiter was clumsy, all that was said just a sorry! Sandwiches were bland and uninspiring, ham, chicken, cheese and tomato, tuna and egg mayo. The small cakes were wet and soggy from defrosting, shop bought Mr Kipling apple pies, scones were bland, cold, unbuttered and had a scrapping of jam and cream and also pre done. We asked for some warm scones which they brought us but offered no butter, jam or cream. This is the worst afternoon tea I have ever been to, for well known hotel chain, I expect something an awful lot better. I will not set foot in there again. I did complain and just again got a 'sorry!'

Bien hecho.

There were a number of things that went wrong with our visit to Kavi restaurant. Here are some of the ones that bothered me more:1. We called to book a table about an hour before going over and yet the staff decided that a good time to tell us that they are not offering the Indian part of their menu was when we sat down at the table. This was especially inconvenient since that was the reason we went there.2. They brought over the wrong wine and the waiter seemed to completely ignore me saying that that wasn't what I ordered. Curiously, the right wine was on the bill in the end. 3. Both the garlic bread and the pizza that we ordered were burned. 4. The Veggie lasagna came as a completely shapeless blob covered in tomato sauce. The blob did seem to have the lasagna ingredients in it and also included a 1.5 inch stick of wood... Really not sure what the later was doing there. So overall, a disappointing experience and I wouldn't go back.

We visited the restaurant while staying at the hotel, the first surprise was how reasonably priced the menu looked. We decided to go without starters and just have poppadoms and a main course. The poppadoms were cooked fresh and served with mango chutney and mint& yogurt dip, some of the best we’ve had. For mains I had lamb gosht, tender pieces of lamb with spinach cooked in a sauce that tasted great without being to hot and spicy. My wife opted for chicken biryani that she described as lovely.Cobra beer at only £3.50 a pint was a definite bonus. Two meals with 2 drinks each for just under £40. Will visit again if in the area.

We stayed overnight at the hotel and had our eveing meal in the Kavi. We were a little apprehensive as we were staying with a voucher. However the food and the service were excellent. We started with calamari which was excellent. The main course however, a butter chicken curry, was so full of flavours. It was way beyond our expectations. The servcie of Sebation and his assistant was superb. An absolutely fabluous dining experience. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience.

Visited this restaurant on Valentines night and found that the food is good, the setting is nice however the service is awful. Firstly, there seems to be no particular organisation with bookings, I pre-booked on their website however when you arrive, you kind of just mosey on in, find a staff member and they try to find you a table without checking any kind of pre-booked list. Where's the front desk?Out of three or four staff members, only one poor waitress was doing all of the work. She was taking orders, getting drinks, delivering food and sorting out bills and appeared to be incredibly stressed and having to apologies to every table about the slow service. The rest of the staff just seemed to be standing about talking and not doing much. Many people were commenting out loud about the treatment of the waitress and some even tried to tip her as they felt sorry for her!As the work was only being carried out by the waitress, service was slow (not her fault) with some patrons loudly complaining t whom I guessed was the manager but you'd never know, about the poor service.I got the impression that this restaurant is geared very much towards the Indian menu (which is excellent) as we stuck to this and the food arrived quite prompt once our order had finally been taken however a couple sitting next to us ordered a standard dessert which took 50 minutes to arrive so I would steer clear of the non-Indian food unless you lots of time to kill!!All in all, the food was good, the menu is reasonably priced and the setting is good (albeit could do with some back ground music to create a nice atmosphere), just don't go at busy periods for the sake of a poor woman's health!!I hat to give a Terrible rating as most of the experience was good however the negative atmosphere within the restaurant spoilt what was supposed to be a romantic evening. I will not be visiting again.

The Kavi is situated in the rear of the Warwick Ramada . A large bar lounge area leads on to a simply decorated restaurant .tables set with linen tablecloths and napkins. The two sided menu offered a choice of Indian food on one side and Italian on the other.unusual but as it turned out ,a good idea. All four of us choose Italian starters and Indian mains.the food was very good.well portioned and tasty.a nice touch was been asked how spicy we wanted our curries.a selection of mostly Jacobs Creek wines at £15 per bottle along with Cobra lager kept us in good spirits as we all enjoyed our meal.considering we drank a lot of wine and beer a bill of £25 per head was not unreasonable.Altogether a pleasant experience.

Very, very disappointing. We'd booked a weekend away in Warwick and had the misfortune to book a room at the Ramada, Warwick, where this restaurant is. The restaurant is very sterile, no atmosphere at all, especially when you can see all the breakfast stuff laid out. There was a massive tv on the whole time. We were booked for the set menu and when I asked to look at the full menu I was told I wasn't allowed! The set menu looks like it's been written by someone looking stuff up on Google, it describes what the dishes might be like, not what they actually are: eg, the tikka is marinated for 4 hours or overnight - which is it?! It is cooked in either a tandoori, an oven or the stove top - which is it!?! Then, when you get them, they're nothing like what they should be either. The mint sauce was curdled and disgusting. I had to ask for the tamarind sauce that was listed as part of the starter. The vegetable samosa wasn't too bad. The calamari was clearly frozen and bought in - it looked like onion rings. The mains were appalling. The lamb shank was not a shank - it was chunks of something. The vindaloo had no spice in it at all. The vegetable dish I had didn't resemble anything at all and tasted of even less. The rice was overcooked, claggy and horrible. The desert was a frozen chocolate fudge cake-tasted fine but then they hadn't made it. Really - don't bother - go somewhere else

The 'canteen' environment was less than inviting. The eggs were very well done, the cheap bacon looked as if it had been steamed and we continually needed to ask for things they had run out of including milk and coffee. This is the worst restaurant i have ever dined. I regret to have not read the terrible reviews on tripadvisor before making a try on a friday meal.We were dumped in a corner sofa on what appeared as a 'make shift' table. The nearby sofa was full of dust. There were baskets of cups laid near table which made use feel as if we were stored in a cupboard. The food was disgusting, I am an Indian and know which one is a reasonable indian food. This was not even food, forget being indian food. The very young english waiter was inexperienced and out of depth, to say the least. He rushed to kitchen after we mentioned our choice of starters to check availablibilty. This was preceded by a rather limited choice of non alcoholic drinks. The food arrived and we soon had to order another drink and waiter commented, we have one more type of fruit juice, may be you should try AS YOU ARE HAVING ALL TYPES OF FRUIT JUICE with an ugly He He He.....We could not finish the food for it was awful and disgusting but we do not like to waste food as there are many on this planet who don't have the pleasure of having food.We requested the remainder of food to be packed. We were told that hotel policy states that food can not be taken outside and this was not a TAKE AWAY. What a rude reply...I asked the waiter to call his manager. The manager said the same thing to which i explained the difference between a take away and a restaurant to someone who calls himself manager and did not have any courtesy or politeness. The waiter then said that he could offer us aluminium foil SHEETS as if we were beggers collecting food. There was no sorry, no apology, plain rudeness. We said, it's OK and tried our best not to waste much food.We were then left for 20 minutes -abandoned and waiting for the bill and closure but I realised that they might have forgotten us and I stepped into the kitchen of a restaurant for the first time in my life to call someone for bill. This does not happen even on a road side restaurant in developing country.Disgusting.I lost my patience at this point and after paying the bill, asked for procedure to make complaint. I was informed that there is no such procedure and i have to go online. I called for manager again but he had left long ago.I asked the waiter to show me the reception. We had a long discussion with receptionist who was looking rather scared and I feel sorry for her but her mistake is that she has joined ramada hotel. She was not willing to provide name of manager or staff and did not know complaints procedure. We asked her to ring her manager and unfortunately it was the same manager who had spoken to us earlier and he was again rude- Asking-'What's the matter?' We chose not to loose our head completely and gave the phone back to receptionist and expressed all our concerns with her requesting her to provide details of person for lodging a complaint. We were offred a half bill return as consolation but we refused to accept it as this was not the reason for us getting distressed. We finally obtained the email id of the person we need to contact to lodge a complaint. I am surprised that such a disgusting hotel exists in britain.I feel so upset today both in mind due to disgusting experience and bowel due to awful food.Never go near this hotel for anything, you will remain happy.

On the plus side, the place is BYO for booze. The service was good and the food came quickly, and was nice and hot. Unfortunately the Masala chips were just oven chips with paprika thrown over them and the lamb chop in the sizzler had quite literally no meat on it. Taste-wise things were acceptable but certainly not 'blow your socks off'. No complementary popadums either. Shame.
