Wanted to give this place a chance. Popped down at 6.30pm on a Friday night. Not too busy but the staff were incapable of serving. Totally out of their depth, inefficient and lack of prep. After waiting 25 minutes, decided to leave as there was no movement with the queue.

Very tasty fish and chips. Friendly service too.

Went on a Wednesday night, curry sauce was like glue and cold, mushy peas were cold but otherwise ok, fish and chips tasted like dirty oil. They did however manage to heat up a pie very well👍. Never again, horrific experience

Sauces and peas were cold, forgot to give us some items so we had to go back, all in all just seemed rubbish for over £60 spent

So glad this shop is back open under new ownership. They seem to know what they are doing, friendly staff. Exceptional food. They are open lunchtimes to now The new opening hours are 12:00 - 20:30 Monday - Saturday

The chippy has recently undergone a change of ownership. A new menu with some additional Greek dishes, such as the mixed meat gyros, that are really tasty and a generous portion. Staff are very friendly.

This Chippy has always been Hit & Miss, and also with it being open. But now with new owners, it’s was great friendly service, top quality food, and best of all, cooked to order, and well worth a visit, they only downside is very little parking, but definitely 5 Stars

Whitenmor Chippy sells expired and tasteless food. You have to wait for a long time, even though there are no visitors to this place.

Foods alright, the company just never know when they’re open - probably the most unreliable fish and chip shop in Kenilworth!

Went to this place for the first time today. Food order completely wrong. Stone cold too so couldn't even eat it. Awful and greasy. Won't be back

Great service from Scott and the team. Managed food preferences with patience and did very best to ensure we were happy with the meal. Real good food.

Teenage staff are exploited, the owner only pays wages when he feels like it! My son worked 30 hours last year and has never been paid or contacted by owner/management since. It's no wonder the standards have slipped if this is how staff are treated.

Update: December 2022. Service started off well here but has really slipped in recent months. Often running out of things, closing early/not open at all. Have ordered online, only for orders to not have even been acknowledged when I arrive. Then to be out of the stuff I've ordered. Service needs to improve dramatically before I return. Whatever is causing the issues, I hope they can be fixed & these guys start to do well again. Down scored by 2 Original post... Lived in Kenilworth 10 years and always used Alfie Grimshaw and then Green Lane (Cov). We moved recently & Whitemore Rd is now the closest so gave it a go. WOW!!! Loved it. Everything cooked fresh. Also had their homemade tatar sauce with the scampi which was peng! Really friendly young bunch of staff. Will definitely be back

Salad guys - more than raw onion!

Chips taste ok, but terribly small portions for the price! Kebabs a NO GO - gristle in every other bite of chicken, quality and quantity of salad absolutely shocking. Staff miserable as sin, and half soaked. Fortunately there are many other places similar who have set the bench mark in this area. Will not be back.

We have just had cod & chips with curry sauce... They were the best we've ever had from there! 😋

Less busy tonight and needed to wait for fresh chips to be cooked. Friendly staff as usual and everyone had a smile. When I got home my chips looked really good and tasted excellent, all I needed was to be sat on a bench overlooking the seaside 👍.

I used to rate this chip shop as the best in kenilworth and although I still feel they do the best food The portions have massively shrunk yet the price increased. I know we are in difficult times but fish and chips plus chicken meat and chips to cost £19 is very extreme. Even more so when there is a small amount of food provided. Salt and vinegar was barley used. Large chips is almost £4 yet the Qty is small compared to others and what it used to be. I waited 20 minutes when I was told only 7 and they seem very short staffed too. Such a shame as I really enjoyed coming here.

Always get our family takeaway/home delivery from here when we are in Kenilworth. For me, now the best fish and chips in town

Tried this chip shop for the first time today. I said goodbye to school lane after the first use, then used Alfie grimshaw and thought the chicken and fish was great. After today trying this chip shop I doubt I’ll ever use another again. Great food, perfect size portion along with fast and very polite service.

First time using this chippy and won't be returning. Stood waiting for 20 minutes after paying to be told they had lost the order and could the order be repeated. Further 10 mins waiting for the food. 30 mins for mediocre food.

Collected chicken tikka kebab meat just now. Price has gone up and portion size is only 50% . Loads of salad, but that doesn't make up for the lack of meat. Not up to standard.

I live across the road and all I can ever hear is your foul-mouthed female staff slagging off customers after they’ve left. How embarrassing for a business. Shame as food is good but if that’s how your staff talk about customers I certainly won’t be one of them.

This time 2 years ago i'd have said this was the best chip shop in town by far! What has happened, or am i just unlucky every time i go. Items often missing from order, and generally poor quality of food. I have always returned hoping things will be different but I'm just left annoyed at myself for returning each time. I give the place 3 stars purely for how spotlessly clean the place is, you can be rest assured your food is being cooked in a clean environment.

very expensive and they did get my order wrong. that being said it was nice enough although not sure if I'd say it was good value for money. The manager also owned the error with the order and refunded the items by card over the phone. Customer service therfore saved this review although I probably wouldn't go back again myself unless I was in the area.

Yummy food, friendly staff, your neighborhood friendly place

We've ordered from Whitemoor a few times during lockdown via Uber Eats. The fish and chips always arrive warm and fresh. The portions are huge too. We have also tried the mixed kebabs and they are really good too. Whitemoor has become our new kebab place. Very good local chippy.

If anyone knows of a good chip shop in Kenilworth please let me know, because Whitemoor Road Chippie isn't one of them. Poor food (greasy fish, tasteless chips) and way too long to get served. I'm a great believer in voting with my feet. I won't be back.

Really friendly local chippy, great selection of food- fish and chips , pies, chicken, kebabs, drinks etc- all great value and cooked to perfection. A mini cod and chips is a substantial meal, and great value for money, the staff are friendly and service is generally quick, it does get busy at times but we'll worth a few minutes wait. If heaven has a smell, it would smell like the Whitemoor Rd chippy 👍 Support your local shops and businesses.

Friday is very busy and at this time of social distancing it's impossible to tell the queue from the people waiting for their food. Very disorganised. Not a pleasant experience. Food is nice though.

Not sure what has happened to this once really good chip shop. Officious service , poor quality luke warm food . Very reluctant to go back again . What a shame !

Have always enjoyed food from this previously excellent take away . Having not been able to use them for a while I bought fish and chips for three of us tonight. Accepting the restrictions of two customers at a time maximum in the establishment is of course fine but really didn’t need the officious and patronising attitude from a woman who appeared to be in charge . Much worse was the very poor quality food . I am not sure why the standards have dropped so far but would be reluctant to use them again.

I have just queued for the penny offer for fish and chips and i waited just under 1 hour. Actually i would of waited 2 hours or more. This fish is the best fish i have EVER tasted. Excellent beyond words. The staff tonight were amazing and the food is just fantastic. I think you have found yourselves a regular... customer EXCELLENT thank you so much and well done to ypu all

Not very nice very greasy fish chips not any better could do with someone who can actually cook these ingredients bring back the lady that was there when shop originally opened.

Excellent cod and chips. Light batter, large flakes of cod, tasty chips. Pre -order was well presented in a paper carry bag and the fish was in a light card box. Friendly service

Very good chippy, great service

Bought a fish and chips meal here few days ago. Fish was obviously left over from lunchtime - the batter was hard and stale and so were the chips which were hard too . Sorry, time to go elsewhere for my fish and chips!

Decided to spread our wings and try somewhere new last Friday. Excellent and tasty two large cod and one large chips. Will buy again!

Battered sausage was nice, however the chips could have done with being cooked longer to crisp them. They seemed as if they only just cooked. They were extremely busy with phone orders and so this may have been the reason.

We love this chip shop! There are plenty closer to us but we travel here. The chips are always spot on, with a good portion and hardly any grease. I am also thrilled they do gluten free on Mondays and Saturdays! They’re really switched on...

I went at lunch and the donner meat was awful, have heard it's better in the evening.

Left the job we was onto come here at 11:30 as this is what time it says they open on Google. They were close . Shop sign says they open at 12 so we sat outside till ten pas . No sign of openin . Update your google profile and your sign. Wasted half hour of my life I'll never get back!!!

Visited at lunchtime just after it had changed hands. Great food and very friendly staff

The chips were dry and kind of brownish colour. Fish was very greasy and did not taste good. Chicken burger was hard and dry (honestly would rather had a rustlers burger). Mushy peas were watery. Curry sauce was ok. Shame as the interior of the shop looks really good and looks clean. Unfortunately the food let's it down badly

Just fancied fish and chips and my usual chippy was shut, so dropped into Whitemore. Pleasantly surprised a)to find them open and b)to get nicely cooked cod and chips. Will definitely go there again when I feel like fish and chips.

Consistent good quality and beautiful tasting fish and chips. One of our annoyances is when takeaways sometimes give you good food and the next it's gone downhill. I never find this a problem with whiemoor chippy. Our reliable go to for good fish and chips!...

Lovely staff and food is fantastic definitely worth a visit

Good food, but suddenly they have a minimum of £10 payable on a card (even debit cards), and cash only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I really cannot understand how a policy like this has been derived, or the significance of cash only three days a week. But when you turn up with a card and very little cash on Wednesday evening, it's easier to go somewhere else (And keep going somewhere else in future). This is a big mistake.

What a disappointment I thought by the increased prices over other local chip shops I was in for a treat The kebab is a third more expensive than others but definitely not worth the extra Dry cold flavourless meat The chips wasn’t much better I had more fried batter than chips in my portion This business once again shows people of Kenilworth are viewed as easy prey for companies who think a CV8 postcode is a right to rip off residents with a levy on prices
